I've had several truly terrible experiences with dentists over the years that resulted in me going very infrequently and living with a partial tooth (and no dental visits) for the past 7 years. I recently felt like I might have a cavity (turns out I don't) so I knew I couldn't put off going to the dentist any longer. I did a lot of research and decided on Dr. Lin and Sun Smile. The partial tooth needed a root canal and crown. From my first visit to me typing this with my new crown in place, it has been about a month. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lin and his entire staff. They are so compassionate, patient and caring. My previous dentist sold his practice. I had my first appointment today at Dr. Lin's for a cleaning and x-rays. The hygienist, Q was very thorough, caring, friendly and careful. He spent additional time compared to my previous hygienist to clean stains on my lower front teeth. Dr. Lin came in to introduce himself and go over my x-rays. He is very personable. I have taken my three kids ages 6 through 11 for multiple visits, cleanings, and cavity fills over the course of 2 years. We have always had an excellent experience with Dr Lin and his entire staff. Dr Lin does most of the work himself and is very friendly, honest, thorough, and sensitive to the needs of kids. My kids are never scared or worried or stressed out in the chair, due to a combination of the TV on the ceiling that shows any Netflix show they want and the gentle care they receive from Dr Lin and his staff. I liked this place! I came here for a second opinion after having a shady experience at a different office-- the dr said I had 4 cavities and offered to fill it on the spot for $400 and I didn't trust it, so, I tried out sun smile dental. Dr Lin was very kind and knowledgeable and reviewed my x rays and told me that I do not have 4 cavities, but rather, I have a small part that could turn into one but it is not necessary to fill (otherwise they'd be shaving off more good tooth than bad). Overall I felt comfortable and felt like I could trust his opinion way more than the other doctor. The receptionists were very friendly as well and professional.
