Huck and Paddle completely breaks the mold. The whole shop is curated (and I use that word intentionally) from a very unique perspective. It is filled with interesting objects, large and small. Inevitably, one of these objects will strike your fancy and demand to be taken with you when you leave town. The owner is delightful, and is committed to her aesthetic. We got to discussing some items I thought would make sense in her store, and she immediately got online to see what I was talking about. Oh, and she has something for everyone. Me, Mama Q and Not-So-Little Q all found things we wanted to bring back to SF. I hope Huck and Paddle survives, I'd like to visit her shop again next year!

One carries super expensive designer clothes- Prada, Dolce & Gabana, etc. The Elle Rose next door is more in my price range and carries all of my favorite designers- Theory, Tahari, Nanette Lepore. I could have dropped lots of cash in this store today because they had some really adorable clothes, jewelry, purses, belts, etc. However, then I remembered my New Years Resolution to save more money and spent my time browsing and talking with the super friendly sales associates instead. All those favorite brands that I mentioned back in my 2011 review are now nonexistent...or at least they were last week. In the 10 minutes I spent in the store I didn't see a single thing I wanted to buy for my daughter, which is a rare occurrence when it comes to me and kids stores. There were a few cute things for my son, but nothing worth the price tag. The woman who works here barely looked up to say hello or ask if she could help. Save your $ and head to Tator Tots for the kiddos instead.
