I don't usually update a business with 4 reviews, but worth it for the quality of instructors we've found here. My kids have been skiing with Clay Bowling, Eileen Reiss and Everett Crick for years now and all are fabulous! All 3 kids improve so much year to year...and know proper ski safety thanks to them as well. We've personally had better luck with privates than the actual ski school. fortunately, we always have a few families with us so can split the cost of privates (they'll take 3 in a group) so it works out well! It's always a small fortune to spend on a lessons, but we know if we stick with any of these 3 instructors it's well worth it. They've become part of our "sun valley family" as well and we look forward to seeing them (and skiing the mountains) with them year after year! read more

Garrett was amazing. Our kids have never skied and have only been in snow once before (LA kids). By afternoon Garrett had them going up the chairlift and zooming down the mountain. They loved every minute and couldn't wait to go back and ski with Mom and Dad the next day. The whole facility is family friendly. But a special shoutout to Garrett who was a magician as well as a super nice guy. read more

Our 6 year old daughter attended the all day ski school (9:45am to 3pm) at Dollar Mountain. She enjoyed it so much she ended up attending ski school 4 out of the 7 days we were at Sun Valley. Our daughter was a good skier to begin with but we were amazed at how much she improved in such a short period of time. We were fortunate to have Deborah Fox as her instructor. She is an amazing teacher and wonderful with children. She strikes a fine balance between teaching children the art of skiing while having fun learning the sport. Our 3yo had a blast in their 1.5-hour intro class! Half way through he got to go in for hot cocoa, then was back out again. Friendly and competent instructors. Only improvement I'd ask for is moving the exit to the terrain park so it doesn't dump right out on to the little 3,4,5 and 6 year-old area. That is a horrible crash waiting to happen. read more

Both my wife and son signed up for lessons. My wife being a first time skier, and my son (10) learning to snow board. Both received quality, patient training and can get down the mountain! Well Quarter Dollar that is. :) read more
