The establishment did not have the truck I rented and reserved. They had a 12' truck rather than…read morethe 16' I had rented. Which caused me to make two trips that had they the proper truck, I would not have had to drive back to Albany from Tallahassee just to pick up 2 rocking chairs, couch and 2 poolside lounge chairs. Additionally, both trucks were very dirty with debris and trash inside the cab. These vehicles were never prepped before my renting. Inside the back was debris, hangers and multiple moving blankets, which were filthy. I will not rent again from Penske in Albany. Oh course I no longer reside there. But I do not recommend them at all.

My first time renting a U-haul to move out of my apartment and I thought it would be a little…read morecomplicated but it wasn't in fact. The staff here was attentive to many questions. The amount of time I was given to rent the cargo was very lengthy and the price was even better! Moving was very expensive but having a low reasonable price to move my things helped a lot.

If I could, I'd give zero stars. The customer service is awful! I reserved a one-way U-Haul truck…read more2-3 weeks in advance for my move. I was told I'd get a call the day before to confirm everything, but that call never came. So, I decided to go to the store in person, only to be told they had no trucks and that my reservation was moved to another location 10 minutes down the street. I go to the new location, and they don't have any trucks either. Apparently, this was the second time that week they had moved a reservation to this location, and they had no trucks available. I was then told the closest truck was an hour away in the opposite direction from Albany, and they'd give me mileage to go pick it up myself. Why should I be the one inconvenienced because of their mistake? When I asked if anyone could pick it up for me, they said no. So now, I'm stuck with the inconvenience, while they don't seem to care at all. They laughed in my face, showed no urgency to help, and eventually just ignored me. The manager and the lady from the regional office even raised their voices at me over the phone. They offered me 100 miles to go get the truck. How is that supposed to help me? I shouldn't have to go out of my way to fix something they had weeks to sort out. It's incredibly disappointing. The workers there, including Eric, Daniel, and Danielle (if that's even her real name), clearly need serious improvement in customer service. If helping customers is a problem for them, they should really reconsider their line of work. No one told them to make U-Haul their day job. They turned what was supposed to be a smooth move into a complete nightmare. Never again! At the rate they're going, they're going to lose a lot of customers. Seriously.
