Can we give NEGATIVE Stars? Always about $2 more than the gas stations 2 miles further north. They take advantage of being the only gas station visible from the rental car lots. I can see getting a premium, but these guys are ripoff artists. the city wanted to regualte them, but couldn't... however read a recent report that they were requiring them to post their prices prominently by May 12, 2011. This gas station is the closest to Orlando International Airport. So people who are returning car rentals will often choose it to refill their tanks to avoid the $10 per gallon charge the car rental companies charge if you return a car without filling the tank. This is the where most GPS or Google Maps will direct people when search for a gas station near the airport. Apparently they realize this and charge at least double the rate of the gas station 1 block up the street and across the road (the Wawa), It was 5.79 per gallon when the price at the Wawa was $2.44 per gallon. They don't have signs with prices and I guess they are trying to scam people who are running late, are foreign and not familiar with normal market pricing, or on expense accounts. At first I thought the machine was in error, but then I realized it was a scam and put the pump back on the machine. read more

Shame on the Consumer Investigator of the Orange County Consumer Fraud Unit!!! I reported this Gas Station back in March of 2014 for price gauging and here is MY STORY!!! On 3/22/2014 we were charged $75 for a PARTIAL fillup in a HONDA Crosstour at the following gas station: Suncoast Energys 5928 Butler National Drive Orlando, FL 32822 There were NO stated prices by the street and the prices at the pumps were COVERED over by tape. We were in a hurry and needed to get to the airport for a departure. When the receipt printed out it said $75.00. That is crazy gauging. I contacted the Attorney General's Office on 3/22 and received an email back on 3/27 to contact the City of Orlando Enforcement Office. They were contacted on 3/28 by the AG's office. That office sent out an officer and found that there was NO SIGN at the street with displayed prices. The owner told the officer that someone hit his sign and he was going to have it replaced. Why would the prices at the pumps have the prices COVERED OVER with tape? Sounds fraudulent to me. Today the City of Orlando Enforcement Office told me that the gas station owner has now put a sign up with stated prices. I was told that it was not considered gauging because it was not a state of emergency. read more

I take issue with the review below that say's "Dude, you're at the airport. Everything costs more there." No, you're not at the airport. This station is several miles from the airport and the other stations within a mile are moderately priced. This place doesn't post its prices in a location where you'll normally look for it. It is on a side driveway and at ground level. I pulled in and bought 3 gallons before I noticed the price on the pump. I left and went about 1/4 mile down the street and filled up for 1.99 You can't justify the price by the location. It's a simple case of trying to catch people who aren't paying attention. The media needs to descend upon these people and expose what they're doing. It's not illegal but it is definitely a case of preying on the unaware. That's a definition of thievery. read more

We filled up at Suncoast Energys the other day. They charge over $6 for a regular gas. There were no visible signs on the lot and the prices on the pumps were not very visible. The LED display with the price per gallon is dimmed and old so it's difficult to tell the price. The place is a rip off. There is a BP station across the street that charges the same price. However, that place has a large sign that's visible from the street. At least they are someone fair on that part. read more
