Do not under any circumstances purchase gas from this establishment. They charge $5.95 for regular unleaded. Their competitors further up the street charge normal pricing (around $2.25 on 5/20/17). I too was duped by this sunoco energys gas station. I was ther june 22, 2011 and paid 5.79 per gallon but didnt notice it till I was finished filling my car. This is a terrible company!! Beware! do not buy gas from these terrible people. They are complete rip-off artists. I went inside to pay for my gas with a 20 dollar bill, then i went to my pump and started pumping, (in which it does not even show the price on the meter until after you start pumping) then to my surprise I realized that i had been paying $5.95 per gallon!! This was outrageous, so i went back inside and stated that i thought there was something wrong with their pump(since the average cost of gas in that area was only $3.19. The employee said "there is no problem, that is how much the gas costs here." I then said, "You must be joking!" The employee then stated, "look at my face, does it look like I'm joking." I was outraged and felt very cheated and that the staff there was very rude. Sun coast energy should be shut down and put out of business forever. Never buy gas at Sun coast Energy! I work for an airline and have now passed this along via Facebook and then just plain old-fashioned word of mouth..including some Orlando locals. Terrible! Zero stars to the SCAM gas. Unfortunately, we read reviews after putting a gallon in the tank and realizing they are charging $5.95/gal and then went down the road to Wawa and paid $1.97! I feel like anyone coming to this place might think that they are criminals. They are charging almost six dollars a gallon because it is near the airport (according to the nice attendant). However Wawa across the street is two dollars and something. I know consumers are protected from price gouging after natural disasters. I'm not sure what protects them on a random Thursday. This gas station exists for one reason and one reason only, people in a rush to get to the airport and not paying attention or not realizing they have other options since they are unfamiliar with the area. I am an Orlando local and this place has been a disgrace for many years. For many years they didn't even have a sign posted out front (the law states the prices only has to be posted at the pump). So Orlando passed a new ordinance that ALL gas stations must have a sign. This ripoff joint and the ripoff station across the street sued to have the law overturned. After months of fighting they gave up and posted the smallest most hidden sign they could get away with. People say say are "price gouging" and the state should step in but even though the price they charge is nonsense "technically" they aren't "gouging" since they always charge this rate and not just during a natural disaster etc. It doesn't make their crap any easier to take for an unsuspecting tourist who leaves town with a bad taste in their mouth. Luckily this is where Wawa has stepped in. The CEO was scouting Orlando as a new area for expansion and saw this crap as he left the airport. He vowed to fix it. One of the first Orlando Wawa's was practically next door to these clowns. Next time you are heading to the airport and need gas DO NOT stop here. Disgusting business practice!!! Just paid $4.39 a gallon to fill up my reveal car. When I asked the clerk why so high, she said, " we're the closest gas to the airport." When I said the phrase price gouging, she responded in a very robotic way, "it's not price gouging because our prices are clearly marked." Not sure I agree with clearly marked when the sign us about two feet off the ground behind a bush. CROOKS! I wish I knew there was a wawa a block away charging normal price. Worst ripoff in Florida. My wife and I needed to fill up our rental car before dropping it off and this us the closest gas station though there is one across the street and another at the next block. They charged us 5.97 a gal even though wawa less than 1/4 a mile away was 1.92. There are no signs from the road. We paid $24 more than the going rate. It should have only been $23!!!! How is this legal, going to try to complain to my capital one. Maybe they can have the card declined in future or something. I didn't even know to watch out for this kind of thing. We normally don't look up reviews on gas stations so unfortunately we fell victim to being ripped off by an unscrupulous gas station in Orlando. We paid $5.99 a gallon prior to returning our rental car. Initially we thought the pump was wrong since there wasn't a sign showing the price per gallon from the road. Then upon pumping, seeing that's what it was actually charging we thought maybe that's just the inflated price at the gas stations by the airport due to the location so unfortunately we filled up. As soon as we did a u-turn at the light to head back to the airport (about 2 blocks away) we saw a digital sign displaying $1.59 a gallon outside of a gas station called WaWa. So then we felt taken since we could have basically filled up 3 other people's cars as well as ours for as much as we paid at Suncoast Energys gas station for just our car. Unfortunately, It looks like according to other Yelp reviews,etc that this is at least their 6th year of preying on unknowing people along with bad press in numerous articles and news on TV about their price gouging practices..so they have been getting away with it for some time. It's too bad people are able to take advantage of hard working people like this based on Pure Greed! Wishing WaWa good Karma for doing the right thing and not joining in on this Price Gouging Scam since apparently according to some other reviews Sun Gas across the road is also price fixing so people believe this is the normal rate on this particular exit unless you go a couple blocks to WaWa and notice it's not. This is crazy that they are getting away with charging 4x what WaWa is charging down the road especially since gas is at it's lowest price per barrel in years..If there's not a legal solution they should at least have to have a visible sign at the road and I'm not sure of Florida law but if WaWa's sign was on a elevated pole that we could have seen from the road prior to driving 2 blocks that would have saved us from paying that much as well, seeing that wasn't the going rate by the airport that Suncoast Energys was just ripping people off. Hopefully something can be done going forward..Florida is a great place and unfortunately upon reading some reviews people say they won't return because of their bad experience all because of this gas station! read more

I seldom look at gas prices before I stop at any station. So after stopping here and starting to pump the gas I was completely shocked to see that the price was $5.59 / G for REGULAR! I stopped there and swiped my card with out really checking, but stopped when I saw how fast the dial was spinning, I had put in $10.00 by then. I went inside and called them thieves and then went down the street less than one half mile to 7-11 and it was $2.10/ gallon cheaper. Actually ... NO STARS!!! We were charged $5.95 per gallon for gas, when we thought we were being charged $2.53 or so per gallon for gas. We were rushing to catch a plane, and feel taken advantage of, now that we are home and are reviewing our bills. This is an unethical, immoral, indecent, and nasty way of scamming travelers who are trying to fill their rental car gas tanks before flying out of Orlando International Airport. Suncoast gas station on Semoran Drive in Orlando is the biggest ripoff I have ever seen. Was there on May 26, and it was $5.95 a gallon for regular gas. Are you kidding me? Florida is a pay before you pump state, I went in and put $30 on pump #1, when I came out and was about to pump the gas, I noticed on the pump itself, it said $5.95 a gallon. I put the pump back and went it and demanded my money back. The clerk gave me my $30 back and I went to 7-11 1/4 of a mile away and paid the normal price of $3.41 a gallon. The sign with the price is not posted on the road for people to see as they drive by. The Orlando city ordinance says they have to post it where it is visible. The sign is actually located on the side of the store near tall bushes where you cant even see it. THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF AND THEY ARE OUT TO GET PEOPLE AND RIP THEM OFF BEFORE THEY NOTICE THE REAL PRICE THEY ARE PAYING. Beware all rental car drivers trying to fill up the car before returning it at Orlando International airport. This station does not even deserve a star. What a loot. 5.959/gallon. Either I missed that there was a price posted in public view or there wasn't any (most probably the latter). I only observed the price after I filled up and got shocked. The pump machine didn't print a receipt despite asking for one, so I went to the shop to ask for one and asked the lady there if the prices were so high in Orlando or is it a Florida wide phenomenon and she answered in quite a calm manner - "no it's just us and the gas station across the road as we are closest to the airport". Her calm composure told me that she answers this questions many many times in a day. It is incredible that this loot has been going on for years with no action from the authorities. Charging a small premium due to location is understandable, but charging more than 3X of the current price, Seriously!! read more
