Ann will point the lens and shoot but will not provide that professional photographer service or package that most will expect from a professional photography session.

I show up for the shoot and she says, " Oh, was I supposed to bring a cake? My cake girl is sick." Why wouldn't you tell me that BEFORE I got there? I had to leave and I had to get the cake from publix and now my kid is cranky for her photos. The third shoot was for Christmas pics and on three occasions she said she had to get going, she had another shoot. My 2 year old being cranky wasn't working well for her and she wasn't in the mood. Mind you she did nothing to help get my child to smile. I was running around doing all the work. she didn't provide me with my photos until the day before Christmas Eve so I was unable to send out Christmas cards. She overbooked herself and was too overwhelmed. Me and several others suffered because she was selfish and kept booking photo shoots knowing she couldn't deliver in time. Lastly, I had booked my daughter's 2nd birthday photo shoot. Before the session I asked if I would have the photos in time for her birthday and she said no. I told her I understand and asked for her to please refund me the deposit. I have screenshots of the conversation stating from her that she would give me my money back. she also said she was in to deep and couldn't believe she over booked so much. now she is ignoring me and won't give me my money back. It's just bad business. I hope this doesn't happen to others but I bet it has. Many of my friends and family will now no longer be using her after what she has done. Crystal, it's the principle. Please follow through on what you said. I want my money back. I do not recommend.

I literally poured over the work of at least 100 videographers in Florida looking for the very…read morebest, most talented videographers I could find. When I found Films by Ross I was blown away by how well the videos were crafted. I knew I had to bring him onboard for our wedding and was even willing to change the wedding date if needed to ensure we could have him film our wedding day for us. Luckily, we planned our wedding on a weekday in the off season, so we were fortunate to be able to contract him with relatively little notice. I could go on and on telling you about how amazing his films are; but, you can check out his Instagram and YouTube to see his work which speaks for itself. Instead, I want to tell you why you should consider contracting him outside of how stunning his work is. One detail that is often overlooked when planning a wedding is making sure every vendor and service you bring on his highly professional and able to work well with the rest of the team you put together. Ross worked so well with the photographers, the coordinator, the private chef, hair and makeup artist and the guests. He took great care to make sure the other vendors got what they needed to ensure their end product would be on point and in turn they did the same for him. This detail is absolutely crucial to ensure your day and the whole operation runs smoothly. You want and need your service providers to work well together. You would have thought Ross had been lifelong friends with the photographer by how well they worked in tandem. It was truly impressive, and I am so thankful for that because it made the day so easy to enjoy. He also pays close attention to detail. He manages to capture the day so well; but, you never feel like you have cameras in your face or have to perform. You get to be in the moment and enjoy the day with your new spouse and guests while he is in the background documenting each moment in a way that does not feel intrusive. That skill alone gives you the ability to sit back, relax and enjoy each moment while the work gets done in the background. It's truly amazing to see the finished products and how detailed each film is after such an emotional day. He also manages to turn around finished products much faster than his competitors. Considering how stunning his work is, it is incredibly impressive how quickly he is able to get the first teaser trailer over to you. It is always so tough to wait on finished professional products after the wedding; but, Ross manages to edit and craft his videos in record time. We were so thankful for that! Lastly, if you want any changes or something added that was not included, he kindly takes your requests and does everything he can to ensure the finished product is exactly what you hoped for. He is so easy to work with and so kind. Again, these are things you wouldn't know from just looking at his finished films. Contracting Films by Ross was worth every penny! We are so thankful he was able to film our wedding, and we will cherish these videos for the rest of our lives.

First off, they have a C rating with the better business bureau. Why? Because they have no…read morecompetition. Schools make note, they are not in your best interest. You are basically stuck using them. Lifetouch is not much better. With that said. Take them for what they are worth. It's a round peg in a round hole job. You will learn nothing. The company likes to hire weak and insecure individuals, keeps them in their place makes management seem superior. They violate EEOC rules under the guise that you are a seasonal temporary employee. There is no maturity in management to elevate you to be a better photographer except for that which benefits Dean Stewart Photography. If you have nothing to do for a year and want to work, take the paycheck but move on ASAP if you want to get more out of life and your abilities. They give you 42 cents a mile when the national standard is 56. Why? Because they can. Your car interior will get torn up and damaged hauling their gear in and out. You will not know your work schedule till basically the day before you start the next week. You are owned, and your "down" time from your workweek diminishes your hourly rate considerably since you can't plan for anything else. If you need a day off you will be removed from the schedule, there are a dozen others waiting to be hired. Again, they give the seasonal excuse, that's 10 months of service. Employees have been known to get so sick and an ambulance has to be called because they are afraid to ask for a day off. In time you will discover, maybe, that you have something to offer. And, after your first year, you are just as skilled as those that are training you. Sadly, they do not know how to utilize that. Probably because the supervisors are doing the work of two+ people and can't develop professional skills, afraid of the boss flying off the handle. He is a moody fellow. The staff is like insecure children that discover they really do not know much. They work with kids, it's a simple job, so their maturity gets diluted. They will throw you a dollar or so to motivate you and if $13 an hour is a good future for you. Ok. Because you won't make much more. No matter what you do. And what you "learn" will not better your future. You really won't know more than you did the day you walked in, your experience means nothing. That keeps supervisors feeling accomplished. Basically, you should outgrow them after your first season, to stay would drag your success down. I am really surprised there are no other options for the schools to choose from. Since Dean Stewart farms out their processing they have nothing special or different to offer. Their quality control was nothing special. Crank it out, make a buck. I suspect their overhead is so high because they always have to cut their prices with the schools, to keep the business. Then there is the boss's son. No one likes him, really. He is that stereotypical daddy's boy. Can't do wrong. Antisocial, unfriendly, and keeps with the immature tradition of not knowing how to elevate the staff. The boss is not much different, do not expect a hello from him unless you run into him. Remember, you are gone after your first season. They do seem to pride themselves on that process. No connection to the employees, no understanding of their value. You are a workhorse. Honest days work for an honest day's pay, barely. It's interesting how unprofessional a business can be and be profitable. I guess it comes from not having anything to compare to, except the occasional convention. Parents, help your kids find a better opportunity. With all that said. If you have the time to discard and need some quick cash. Have at it. A life lesson is always learned.

We actually reside in California, but fly to Florida often to visit family because my husband and grew up there.
