For a concert, I highly recommend this place. I came from out of state, to start with. Venue is easy to find, easy in and easy out. Anything you could need is found about two stoplights away. Plenty of parking. Very accessible space. Clean. The sound was big! Standing room only type space but I did spot an area of what looked like built in seating along one side that seemed behind a rope but I presume was for all. I don't know who or what usually plays here but I feel like this is a space you could and should travel to for shows to say you "saw them before". I drove A LOT of hours on a weeknight for this and would do it again in a minute. Oh and the hotel is within feet of the back door of the concert hall so just plan to stay over!

They have some food options (fried burgers, fries and other sandwiches, pizza, shakes, chips and popcorn). They also have a game room and bowling that are away from the bar area. Many high school kids hang out after games or on the weekend until about 11pm. Bowling leagues start about September and go through April so call ahead if you would like to bowl to make sure that you can get in. After 9m is cosmic bowling which is something fun for the kids. If you bring your kids, the owners (Dave and Linda) are pretty strict about not allowing them to run through the bar area. So just make sure that they are on the other side or sitting with you in a booth if you eat on the bar side. I think they have a pool league that comes in on Wednesday nights too. The only drawback that I didn't like was the smoke. But with the new laws, that's gotton better. The bathrooms are also a little cold and dirty. Not a huge deal, but nothing fancy.

This place is SO much more than a bowling alley! Yes, the restored bowling lanes are gorgeous, and the arcade is perfect for kids--but the real surprise? THE FOOD. I had an omelet that tasted like it came straight from a farmstand--fresh, juicy tomatoes and crisp green peppers that reminded me of my grandma's garden. Absolutely mouthwatering! Imperial Lanes is located across from Estherville High School (Home of the Mighty Midgets!) and was a place where I bowled during PE and Leagues. I really didn't have a good hook, but this is where I became a better than average bowler. In fact, I still have my original shoes and ball from this era around someplace.
