    Respectable Group - Partial walkway

Talks the talk but fails to walk the walk…read more The staff / owners gave us a great presentation and promised a first rate lanai refurbishment including cleaning, replacing, filling-in (sand), and sealing our travertine pavers. They promised to cover our pool / spa to prevent sand intrusion and estimated a week to a week and a half to complete the job. Yes they cleaned and replaced pavers to our satisfaction. That said, any sealant that might have been applied several months ago is long gone. Moreover, the sand filler has washed away. We now have more loose pavers than before our ~$6,000 job. The job took well over a month as we couldn't count on when the workers would show, despite promises to the contrary. And, months later I'm still cleaning sand from my pool / spa. An owner, who was prompt at picking up a check, promised to have an employee return to fix the loose pavers - haven't seen or heard from them since. Lastly, three of my neighbors report similar issues with the "Respectable Group." I recommend not committing to this entity; however, if you do, hold the final payment for at least 30 days to verify the intended results.

From first contact to job completion, everything was handled professionally. My driveway & walkway cleanings were overdue & this was my 1st lanai cleaning. None of these areas were ever sealed. The calcium & mold buildup & weeds & insects between the pavers was disgusting. The team was prompt, efficient, professional & courteous. Heavy rains came in before all the seals dried and they returned to reseal and their 'white glove' team did the final cleanup and confirmed my driveway was again usable. I'd give them 1,000 stars if I could.

On 9/28/12, we redeemed a Living Social deal we purchased to have our pool cage and pool deck power washed by Under Pressure. We also paid an additional $125 to have the exterior of the home power washed. The owner was present with the crew but did not supervise the cleaning of the lanai specifically where the damage occurred. It is our opinion that water caused drywall damage of the lanai ceiling. Specifically, falling chips of paint in the apex of the ceiling and a piece of tape underneath the paint. This damage occurred during their service, as I had looked over the area carefully beforehand since we recently purchased the home and I replaced light bulbs in the ceiling fan where the damage occurred days before. The damage was immediately noticeable to myself and my fiance when entering the lanai. As a side note, we spent an hour cleaning out the pool because the dirt and debris was washed right into the pool. To top it off, windows on the second floor were still dirty. They did a mediocre job cleaning, regardless of the damage. Repeated calls were made to the owner to resolve this situation, beginning with that day. He refused to accept responsibility for the paint damage during each conversation, stating that he could not understand how it could have happened since they know not to spray drywall because this can happen. An estimate for the repair was provided to the owner by a contractor who we trust. He estimated $150. The owner continued to attest that he did not understand how this could have happened. He refused to help pay for the damage despite claiming he is insured. You are much better off finding another power washing company.
