There is lots of parking nearby, and the wyvern theatre is easily accessible by bus as it is in the town centre. The shows are always really fun. Sometimes local brownie, guide, and scout groups put on a show here. Other times, shows will visit here when doing a tour. The theatre is quite big. It is a very traditional looking theatre, from everything like the uniforms, to the decorations. Sometimes they also have live music which is really good. I would recomend it to families.

It was closed for a couple of years because they found Asbestos in the building, but now it has been re-furbished and opened again. They have the usual range of shows that you would expect in an urban theatre. Not the big musicals that you would expect in London, but musicals, drama, some bands and the obligatory Christmas panto. This year, the panto is going to be Aladdin. Some of the shows are by touring companies and others are put on by local choirs etc.

In the past ten years they have a wider range of drama thanThe Everyman, and very often of a higher standard of acting and directing, with excellent sets and lighting. These include dramas like Man of the Moment, Under Milk Wood and On Golden Pond, plus occasional operas in English like Lakme, and Gilbert & Sullivan and Christmas Panto. What is so amazing is that these are all amateur productions, put on my different member companies from around the area. What a lot of talent never made it to the professional stage! The interior was recently upgraded with steeply tiered comfortable seating and improved bar facilities. The average ticket price is about £12, with parking less than 100 yards away. It has quite a history, including being the municipal swimming baths!

The venue itself is imposing and spacious, though very crowded for big events like popular LitFest talks. The acoustics in the main hall are pretty bad, but staff do their best to overcome that. Overall, if there's something you want to see, go and see it! Your experience shouldn't be either ruined or greatly enhanced by the venue.

Cirencester is not a terribly large town, yet it has history recorded continuing back 2,000+ years well reflected here. Only knocked off a star for some broken interactive exhibits - really wish I could give 4.5 stars. For what it sets out to do this is a successful effort.

It's nice it has a Costa, so if that's your taste then definitely go. However one thing that is slightly annoying is the fact that they've changed the seating into different categories. The majority of people prefer to sit in the middle-ish normal seats which offer the most comfortable viewing position. However, they now made that "Classic Popular" which is now £17.49 baring in mind that the Premier seats are £18.49. The middle row has now been completely replaced by Premier seats so that's pretty annoying as they used to be at the top. If you would like to have neck pain and save yourself £1.50 compared to a "Classic" seat, go for the saver seat which is literally 3 rows away from the screen.
