I took my 3 year old son to koala dental care in Buffalo to see Dr. Rao 2 weeks ago on Friday at…read more2:30 pm & I cannot say 1 good thing about the experience. Upon arrival my son was very anxious about being at the dentist, he began getting fussy. Once back in the clinic, the assistant informed me that x rays were requested at the appointment that day. I informed her that she was welcome to try, however I suggested my son would likely not be compliant. I'm not sure if that was taken as me telling her "no" to the radiographs but a no is clearly what was communicated to the dds. Dr. Rao came over and shamed me for 'not even being willing to try' I informed her what was said and at that point folded my cards and told her go ahead and do the X-rays. I watched as one of the assistants held my son down in a bear hug with her legs wrapped around him while the other assistant jammed bitewing tabs into his mouth. I am a licensed dental assistant who currently practices and I fully understand the importance of radiographic imaging and how they are essential for diagnostic purposes. However, given there were no clinical signs that pointed to concern there was no reason for the staff to use the measures of restraining my child and creating a traumatic first radiograph experience for bitewings that could have been taken at the next visit, once my son gained maturity. The only reason I even agreed to these x rays was the shame dr. Rao placed on me for "not agreeing" to x rays that I gave the go ahead on. Through out my appointment Dr. Rao gave me zero grace, my first exchange of words with Dr. Rao was her informing me that the reason my son is uncooperative is the TIME OF DAY which I scheduled my sons appointment. Early intervention of dental care is a top priority for me regarding my child so when there was a time of day that worked with my work schedule I jumped on it. If the time of day for any given age group (or individual) is not preferred, the front desk should be made aware of this and communicated prior to an appointment at bare minimum. I was not ever informed that my child was not suitable for an appointment at 2:30. It's never been an issue with ent, pediatric care, physical therapy or speech. I was not going to write this review until receiving the letter in my mailbox that I have attached to this review. To dismiss me from your practice due to your staffs lack of communication and me defending my words by correcting your misinformation is shocking to me. Even before this letter was received, I had zero intentions of returning to your practice. I will make sure that the people in my life never send their children to any of your practices. Do better.

I cannot enough express my gratitude and appreciation for everything about Woodside Family Dental! Every individual is kind, professional and helpful. And Dr. Brenner is personable, committed to being sure that you understand options and how best to take care of needed items, and then does an excellent job! My first visit was to fix a significantly chipped front tooth, and he made it like new. My teeth aren't "young" anymore. But he's helping me make the best choices and take care of some challenges. I would recommend Dr. Brenner and Woodside Family Dental to anyone!

So the wait time to get an appointment is unacceptable. If you call to get an appointment you are looking for 2-3 months or more for a cleaning or a filling. About 3 weeks for a filling replacement. The quality of Dr Greg's work has seriously declined. I have had to have 4 fillings replaced in 6 months. The hygienists are professional. The front desk staff is completely unprofessional, down right rude, they glare at patients as they walk through to the exit. Front desk person Cassandra refused to have me as a patient anymore because I asked to have my preferences changed because 8 text messages reminders then multiple phone call reminders are extremely excessive. Then she glared at me when I left after my appointment. She should not be in the customer industry, and if I was her employer I would have fired her a long time ago.
