I love the frames but I can tell the glasses were just thrown together. Also the fact that the optometrist rang me close to harrassment to try out some Contact Lenses for free , of course. I had to avoid him in the street. Not long after I find this cool place and I love that I can get 2 pairs of specs for less than $400 with no rebate. I hadnt heard of Bailey Nelson until they opened in the Shire . Since googling, Im well impressed. Story goes , a couple of hipsters started the business in Bondi and like to help people save money, so they cut out all the unneccessary middlemen. At B&N They rang my previous Optometrist to confirm my prescription and had the glasses made up in a week . Its not my imagination but the lenses are really clear and I wasnt asked if I want the works , like Fog Free, Glare Free, Scratch resistant , Break Free etc . Honestly the BS that we have to answer , who would say no ? No Im good thanks I want my glasses to fog and break easily . As I know that it costs about a dollar to make them and you are all parasites but lets waste more time. How thin would you like to go ? well I still want to resemble Coke Bottles of course NOT. They dont do this at B&N . Also they dont have a big neon sign on the side to advertise their brand . Its descretely displayed on th inside of the arm. Im thinking they would update quite regularly as they are fashion forward . The same colours come in different frames for different shapes etc. Makes so much sense to me. I will always buy my glasses here now.

Michael was so rude and condescending, came up with every excuse known to man...would talk over the top of me and suggested i was lying. I went back to the original store where i had purchased it and it was a completely different experience, so good in fact that i purchased 2 more pairs, a Gucci pair for $655.00 and a pair of RayBans at 40% discount. They have collections from uncommon Australian and overseas based eyewear designers, so you will most likely walk out with eyewear that no one else in Sydney will have. You won't find Prada, Chanel or Gucci here. The staff there really make an effort to make sure you find the perfect pair and have a great sense of style! They had a wonderful selection of beautifully hand painted miniatures! The market itself isn't too large. It took me about 30 minutes to view the whole thing and stop at vendors I wanted to see. There was a good selection of hand made goods, like totes, paintings and other goods. This is a wonderful spot to shop local!

This fab store used to be hidden down the back of another Leura arcade, but is now front and centre, windows full of modern, quirkily designed jewellery and vintage clothing for women and men. Inside is even better. I instantly swooped on a piece from a designer I used to love from my days in Newtown, who no longer seems to exist. Lovely lady staffer and I chatted about Japanese fabric-using designers while I was breaking my no unnatural fibre rule with my purchase. Almost air-tight, but a woman's allowed exceptions for vintage, right? Prices are pretty good, especially for Leura, the modern designer stuff is a bit steep, but that's what you'd expect. Staff are lovely, and the offer gift vouchers too, which I'm thinking would beat a Myer GV hands down in the Christmas pressie stakes. It is a little cramped but they have made good use of the space they have been given. A few pieces here and there were a little too expensive for what they were but generally prices were fair. The staff are friendly and personable and I will certainly be back again when shopping in Leura.
