I visited on a Monday with my sister-in-law. I booked a 90-minute deep tissue massage for $100, and she booked a 90-minute relaxation massage for $90. The first issue was that they do not accept card payments. It would have been helpful to know this when I made the appointment over the phone so I could come prepared. Our appointment was scheduled for 11:00 AM. The massages started around 11:05 AM and ended before 12:30 PM, so we did not receive the full 90 minutes we paid for. The atmosphere was also disappointing. The walls are very thin, and throughout our massages we could clearly hear people talking and laughing loudly, which made it difficult to relax. Most importantly, the deep tissue massage was not a deep tissue massage. Aside from one area on my leg that was already sensitive, there was very little pressure or focused muscle work. The experience honestly felt more comparable to a $25-$35 foot massage than a professional deep tissue treatment. For the price, I expected much better. Between the shortened session, lack of a true deep tissue massage, and noisy environment, I left feeling that it was a waste of money. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. read more

My masseuse was very knowledgeable and was able to find and address all areas of pain while also checking in frequently to make sure I wasn't in pain. This place is extremely low budget and they give you a couch type pillow when they turn you over. The bathroom was a mess and the massage tech that did my friend was terrible. Because we had a couples massage I heard her ask the girl to go firmer and each time she would for a few minutes then go back to get lackluster massage technique. No water was offered and they cover you with towels instead of sheets. Let's just say there were moments I felt way more exposed than I have at any other massage place ever (and I've been to a lot). I was in Stockton on a Tuesday evening after returning from a 5-day vacation full of running, hiking, and other activities so I was quite sore and needed a relaxing massage. I found Sunny Day on Yelp and the reviews were very promising. I forgot to call ahead, but I saw they took walk-ins so I walked in, lol. The lady at the front desk (I forgot to get her name) was VERY kind and welcoming. I chose my massage (90 min combo, feet & full body) paid and tipped up front and she walked me to the back. My masseuse's name was Andy. He started with soaking my feet while he massages my face, head, and shoulders. Then he placed a clean towel over my face as he massaged my feet & legs. After 30 minutes, he asks me to move to the massage table for my full body massage for the remaining hour. He started with a deep tissue massage, and frequently asked if the pressure was okay. After about 15-20 minutes, he used oil and gave me the most relaxing massage I've had in my life. I literally fell asleep and could feel myself snoring. Won't be returning...went in for a couples combo massage and they didn't have us undress. This is the only massage place where I've experienced that. I feel like I didn't get a full massage experience because it felt half assed and they were clingy onto my sweater more than my skin and muscles. The massages also felt more like body rubs.
