The only reason we visited this spa was because we were given a gift card to it. From booking to…read moretreatment, everything was just lacking. We had an extremely difficult time booking an appointment. It took about a month of calling before we finally got someone on the phone. We booked the "Couples Prestige Pedicure" which is advertised as taking 70 minutes. My fiancé's pedicure was 45 minutes and mine was just under an hour. Overall, my pedicure was very minimal--very little callous/dry skin removal. She applied exfoliating scrub, but just quickly and gently pushed it around before washing it off so it was pointless. An hour after my pedicure, I checked my heels and they were still dry/cracked. My fiancé's pedicurist did a better job--she is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. After tax, the total for the two pedicures was $215. They did not allow us to use our gift card to tip, even though we had just the right amount left on it, which seems ridiculous. The store shouldn't require you to supplement with your own cash when you've received a gift! Even if you can afford a $100+ pedicure, I don't know why you would choose to get it done here. Your run-of-the-mill strip mall nail salon will do a much better job with better results for 1/3 of the price.

This spa has been voted 'best spa' in Waterloo and area - and hands down - they truly deserve it…read more Although their services are quite pricy, it's well worth it, as immediately after you walk in, you feel completely relaxed and taken away to some beautiful, blissful place. After being greeted, I changed my shoes for a pair of sandals and changed into a bathrobe. Then, I soaked my feet in lavender scented warm water with rose petals, while sitting on comfy pillowed seats. They checked to make sure the temperature was right. Alas, after a few minutes, my massage therapist greeted me and guided me to a private, candle lit room for my massage. My goodness, the massage was heaven! I've been there twice, and every since, I've become highly opinionated about how my massages should feel like. It's truly hard to find good masseuses, and The Waters hires the best. Upon leaving, I also completed an anonymous survey. They take their customers' feedback very seriously. During my second visit, I noticed they implemented my suggestion. I haven't found a spa as great as this one - truly, you are getting what you pay for. I've been to cheaper spas, and it's not the same experience. Too bad it's so far away from me :(

I usually get both my hands and feet done at the same time. The citrus leg scrub and massage is not to be missed. I love the looks of the updated French manicure or the imaginative patterns, finishes and sparkle which bring me compliments daily for my nails. Shellac or chrome all have my Bio-Gel nails looking lovely for 3-4 weeks.

My 14-year-old daughter went to this salon to get her nails done. Before I left her there, I made…read moreit clear that her nails shouldn't be too long. By making it clear I told the mail employee this. I asked them how long the service is going to last and if it would be alright for me to leave for 15-20 minutes. He reassured me that would be fine. I had some errands to run, so I left my daughter with money for the service. When I came back, I saw that her nails were really long. I voiced my opinion immediately. They insisted she wanted them that way. I get it, she's a teenager, and she might want things different from what her parents want. But at the same time, if she went in there and asked to do something risky, like vaping, would they just go along with it, ignoring what her parents say? I called them up after we got home to ask why they listened to a teenager over a parent. But all they kept saying was, "She picked them, she picked them," in broken English. I know I messed up by leaving her there alone, but a few days later, one of her nails broke badly. I didn't want her to get an infection, so we went back to ask them to fix it. They did, and we left. Then, a few days later, another nail broke, but it wasn't as bad, so I managed to remove it at home. But then, after 7 or 10 days, another one broke really badly. I had to take her back in. At that point, I just told them to take all the fake nails off. And then, they charged me $22 just to remove them! We originally paid $80 or $85, I'd have to check the receipt. But adding on another $22 after the whole ordeal that didn't sit right with me. Before handing over the $22, I asked them to explain why I had to pay that much. My daughter's nails kept breaking, so we kept coming back because we didn't have a choice. After I questioned the $22 charge, a younger employee, maybe their daughter, told me I didn't have to pay. I thanked them and left. But as I was leaving, I heard the employee who removed the nails yelling in their language. When I got to my car, they came over to my car and blocked me in, asking for the money. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I went back inside the salon and paid the $22. But I told them I'd be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau. I'm really unhappy with the service we got.
