Every single person had a positive experience with this agency? That's just not statistically possible if she's really working with this many people..." I decided to set up a meeting. I drove to her office where we met to discuss particulars (what I'm looking for, what families are in the market for a nanny right now, what ages/salary/commute/hours I'm looking for) and the moment she opened the door and greeted me with a giant smile and her upbeat, positive attitude, I felt like just working with HER was my perfect placement! Once we started the process, Michelle was completely professional while also refreshingly honest and realistic in her suggestions. She really took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for and she only suggested me to families that she knew had the potential to be a "love match!" After looking at a few potential matches, Michelle called me to tell me that she had "found my family!" She said, "This is the one. Please go for an interview and see for yourself." So I did. This is the part of the review where I'm going to get annoyingly emotional. Not only did the family and I immediately "click," but Michelle had made sure that all of our stats were in alignment. The age range, schedule, amount of hours, commuting time, pay rate, expectations and needs happened to all align with what I was looking for. It was LITERALLY the PERFECT PLACEMENT!!!! Coincidence? I think not. Michelle is highly intelligent, professional, personable, understanding, diligent, experienced, communicative, and pleasantly charismatic and I owe my job satisfaction directly to her. We were nervous at first but Zepyur immediately put us at ease with her warmth and openness. He is showered with love everyday by Zepyur, Marine, Mariam, and Andy, and he naps really well at his daycare so when we pick him up he's always in a happy mood. He used to be shy but since he started at Blooming Child we noticed he's a lot more comfortable around people. His social skills definitely improved from playing with the other kids. Zepyur and Marine sing and read to the kids a lot so our son's vocabulary improved and he has started learning the numbers and the alphabet. The daycare is at Zepyur and Andy's home so it's clean and safe and they take really good care of their facilities. (that's just my personality lol.) Anyhow, all jokes aside, as a first time mother with no family on my or my husband's side in the US at all, they were my village. Not only are they extremely fairly priced, but they took the best care of my baby. She was so happy to go to daycare every single day she always giggled and clapped her hands as we pulled up to Monika's door. The second that door opens, my daughter leaps into her or Olga's arms. You can't buy this feeling of safety and security. I know this and I didn't even have such high expectations going in. I was just a tired mom, desperate for help and a spare pair of hands to help me so I could get my life back. But Monika and Olga exceeded my expectations. I had no idea that they'd make this heavy of a mark in my heart because no nanny, daycare center or service I've had since has come close to their level of care. Their amazing meals (literally the best most organic foods available in the market), the art projects they did, the friends she made, it was so smooth and low drama and honestly not replaceable at all. Nothing comes close to Happyland. I wish I could move back to LA just to be near them, but alas I understand that isn't possible because of my husband's work. So I'll just have to leave this note, as a testament from one mother, to another; if you're reading this, your baby is safe and loved with them. I appreciate how the teachers send photos of my kids and notes throughout the day via an app, and all the communication from them at drop off and pick up. Then my daughters foot slipped out of her shoe. One child stopped the line, another grabbed the shoe, and another held her foot and helped her slip it on. I was floored. These kids love each other. Got him interested to use scissors (found out he's a lefty here and provided him lefty scissors) and through his art class made some classy stuff. Pieces that are still on the walls of our house. Stuff he made for Father's Day that is still sentimental to the hubby. They go on monthly field trips (like Kidspace) but what's cool is that they utilize Metro or Dash to the city library for magic shows, story time, puppet shows, or to parks like Grand Park (splashing around). It is affiliated with a Japanese Buddhist church so they do go to the Hondo for some gassho and singing with the minister in the morning (15 mins). From observation the families that utilize this resource are very diverse--I would even say that Japanese families are in the minority here. I am of the group that chose this place due to its proximity to my workplace, and I think others have too. Ms. Susan has been director for quite some time and I've personally seen old students now adults say hi to her at Nishi obon. Staff are very kind and nurturing. The daycare is nicely situated in a space that is shaded so they aren't going to roast when playing outside. Even now as my kid is enrolled at public school TK I still take him here during LAUSD winter breaks, or the myriad of "no instruction days" on their calendar. They take kids up to age 6 so this has been a godsend to me. Kids as young as 2 must come potty trained. Currently monthly tuition is $1170 might be $50 lower per month if you pay to become a temple member.

Nishi has been the perfect place and every day we see the amazing things our daughter learns and experiences. They have so much fun engaging with the world by going on field trips and library walks, plus the weekly art, gym and music classes are nothing short of spectacular. We feel so lucky to have found Nishi and always feel secure in our child's education and safety during this critical learning period. Compared to other preschools in the area Nishi is also exceptionally affordable and extremely high quality.
