The care they provide the children in unmatched. I travel over a bridge each day to drop my little ones because I haven't found other places with equitable services. The communication is great. We use a Pro Care App and the teachers check in throughout the day. My 6 y.o. loves the summer camp and looks forward to going each day. 4 of the 5 days the children are out of the building, and they go swimming each week! The extra meal service is helpful so I don't have to worry about prep. The program provides trip shirts, so aside from her shorts I don't have to worry about wardrobe headaches. My daughter loved making new friends in camp. Last year we attempted another camp for a few weeks that was closer to home and quickly switched back because she hated it. For my youngest who is now 2, he too participated in the summer program. What I liked about his program is they have an awesome backyard and have outside water time daily (weather permitting). They also get to have inside gym time to keep their bodies active and moving. His bookbag was always full of activities he completed in school and my pro care communication app, always up to date showing me the fun activities he was engaging in. The best part for me, since I am always running is I could communicate with the staff when I was in transit so they could being to prep him for departure at the end of the day. As far as the cost, it's worth it and comparable to other programs that have infants and toddlers. The program we attempted in 2023 with my middle child was a bit more expensive, and just didn't work out for us. We will be back next year!

Showed up 15 minutes early and didn't have to wait long to speak with a counselor. Being unfamiliar with the system I was a bit anxious fearing it may have stringent or unreasonable requirements or something trivial that I missed may somehow disqualified my daughter's enrollment. I sat there close to 40 minutes with Kenny, the counselor. He was easy going, approachable and patient. Didn't try to rush things, Which is important because I don't write all my questions down before hand, being patient puts me at ease and gives me time to retrieve all the questions in which I had a lot. I walked away understanding the process, requirements, time frame, the options available, where to go for further research. What I appreciate most is him understanding my question despite its awkwardly phrased. I now know what my next step is. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you

I really liked the fact that they took their time to explain from their experience, how children adapt and what works. Did exactly as they told me and my baby in a matter of 2 weeks, enjoyed going to day care and always talked about his teachers and friends. Now I drop him off with ease and I know that my baby is well taken care of. I would def. recommended this day care to anyone looking for child care. They took all the precautions necessary to minimize COVID 19 transmission which I really liked. (they were all wearing masks, gloves, they didn't allow parents to fully come in to the day care, they met us by the curb). Most importantly my child looks forward going to day care everyday, I love the fact that they do activities with the kids like letter of the week, coloring, painting, etc. The staff is super friendly and professional. I'm getting reimbursed for day care fees by the City and I asked them for invoices and they were prompt to give them to me.

In the room I worked in, there was significant chipped and peeling paint, which is a clear hazard. Instead of properly addressing the issue by repainting or repairing the walls, we were instructed by the director, Ariana Olkta, to cover the damage with posters. She even acknowledged that chipped paint was present throughout the daycare--including in her own office. Rather than resolving the problem, management seemed more concerned with hiding it from the public and the Department of Health. Cleanliness was another major issue. On multiple occasions, I had to ask for basic cleaning supplies, and no one in management seemed to know where they were kept. This made it extremely difficult to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the children. Without access to proper cleaning materials, maintaining classroom hygiene became a challenge.

We paid the registration fee months ago because their facility was slated to be open SPRING 2022 and because the infant program was brand new and not yet open, there was no waitlist for our then 4mo baby. Now let's get into all the bad and deception - We were told by so many people before paying the fee that they were due to open "soon" aka in early spring. Fine with us so we paid. We were then told they're missing paperwork from the city for their opening but we can still expect a later spring opening date. Ok, fine again. We are now a few days shy of July and they have NO updates as to when they're going to open. They also never once updated us on the delay on their own. I always had to reach out myself. The good thing is we got our money back after months of lies. But what is money when compared to the urgency of enrolling one's child into a care center? There waitlists everywhere and I trusted them to enroll my daughter by spring. After months of endless waiting, we are back to square 1 with NO daycare option for our baby because now the waitlists are even longer for other places. If we would've known better, we would've just signed our daughter up for another daycare center months ago and join their actual waitlists with the expectation that yes, were on a waitlist and we now need to find our baby temporary care before enrollment. Another issue - SAFETY. Now, I can't guarantee this is going to be the case once they actually open, but I saw RECALLED FISHERPRICE ROCKERS that were the products of infant deaths in their center and recorded them too when I did my tour. I told their staff but not sure if they did anything with it. That should've honestly been my first red flag, but I was trusting them to listen to my concern and rid the facility of the rockers and I was suckered in by their no waitlist BS. Let's hope those rockers were actually thrown out.

Julia has always been attentive and is quick to respond. Communication through text and email has been excellent. All his teachers are wonderful to him and my son has made many friends which has helped with his social skills as well. Overall this center is wonderful and more importantly, it has been a great and positive experience for my son. We thank you for taking good care of our son. In regards to the application process, spots are not guaranteed since Baby Steps offer the courtesy to wait for the attending students to confirm when they are officially leaving. I have at some point told baby steps about leaving (moved to LI) and then changed my mind which Julia was nice to let me stay though she had applicants patiently waiting. Please be understanding of the process because keep in mind the same courtesy will be extended to you and when it does, you will be appreciative. I was fortunate enough to have my son attend as soon as he was two because the business just had opened not too long before but I can now imagine it would be more difficult since baby steps has built up a strong reputation. I wish the future parents luck and if lucky enough to get your child in the school, I guarantee, you and your child will be very happy.

Not because the slot wasn't available. But because she decided, as the provider, that 7pm was inappropriate for my child. As a parent, I make decisions about my child's schedule -- not a business owner. If there were operational limitations, that could have been communicated professionally. Instead, the reasoning was judgmental and paternalistic. Families seeking therapy services deserve respect, flexibility, and professional boundaries. Unfortunately, this interaction showed a concerning lack of all three. We chose to take our business elsewhere.
