I have been a regular customer at this location since moving within walking distance a year ago…read more Talk about the convenient stores of Speedway, right?!? Wrong!! There are a few ladies up there who are pretty delightful to deal with, which, is always a good thing, especially when you just wanna get your stuff and go. They get you in and out, without issue. Then, after a few months of living over here, this lady named Amanda popped up out of nowhere. I assume she transferred from another store, but who knows?!? I pride myself in believing I am a pretty friendly person, especially since I worked in customer service in various positions for years. Anyways, so Amanda joins the team at said Speedway, and let's just say she doesn't carry the friendly torch that the other ladies do. I mean, she is the type who will give you the dirtiest of dirty looks, all while wearing her mask. I go in for money orders, anyone else helps me, no issues. When she helps me, I was literally in there for 15 minutes, because she made it into a whole ordeal, when it's a fairly simple process. Now, I am above the limit of age where I should be getting id'd. Like I said, worked with tobacco and alcohol, I know the rules, and I know that when someone comes in asking for a said product and they have wrinkles and gray hair, odds are they are above the age requirement. Now I know, it's part of their job, but isn't kinda messed up to try and gauge someone's age, while wearing a mask, first off, and second, I am in this store, multiple times a week, and make the same purchase, from HER!! Now, I know what you're thinking, maybe I have the attitude, right? Don't lie, I know you think I'm the jerk, and come off as such. Well, she does the exact same thing to my husband. She actually mean mugs him way worse then she does me. He has commented on numerous occasions how sad it is you can see the dirty look she is giving you, just by the eyes. Seriously, it's creepy. One of the worst parts is, you'd think we could just say something to the manager, maybe have them have a conversation about customer service with her, right?!? Wrong again, SHE IS THE MANAGER!! So, being the people we are, we limit our exposure to said lady and store, even though it is "convenient". So, if you do happen to stop in, you might end up leaving some kinda way, if her evil eyes happen to fall upon you. Total negative stars, for her even being promoted by the company.
