Worst customer service ever. I called to place an order to go and they said no would not transfer to restaurant side "said were to busy" and hung up on me. I drove all the way out there to place an order because in past they had great prime rib thought it was worth the drive. HA They were not really busy at all only 9 tables and 3 people at the bar. I did place an order, I got home and they had given us the worst prime rib ever, maybe 4 - 5oz only about 4 bites of meat the rest was all fat, and they did not include all our sides. It was a lot to pay for nothing plus the drive all the way out there. They do not care about customers service. Spend your money in town and go somewhere that wants you to be there. read more

We went for Mother's Day to celebrate and let me just say it was a truly wonderful experience. The food was delicious, our server was very attentive to us taking very good care of us. The horse races were so much fun! We hadn't been to the casino in a while but let me say we will be going more often. They made our day so special and fun! Thank you Sunray!! read more

I am so over this BS of this place Sunray Park and Casino. So mom and I went there last night for their Wednesday night special of Prime Rib. Now this place knows everyone under the Zia Sun comes there for it every Wednesday night. As a Manager for over 20 years for such places as TGIFridays and Cheesecake Factory, I am wondering WTF who runs this place thinks this is how you run a restaurant. 1st) Took server 7 minuets before he greeted us/took drink order. 2nd) Prime rib is not like a steak thats cooked to order, its prepped/cooked way in advance. so for an order of Mid rare and Rare it took 47 minutes from time of order to delivery at table? Finally 3rd) Mom and I both ordered water, not a soda but because we were so over the experience when the bill was finally presented on their cool new iPad things, did not really review it and got charged for 2 sodas when all we had to drink was water. This place has gone down hill so fast and so furious, No BusBoys anymore, servers must buss their own tables, no turn around cause they have like a 7 table section, never see a manager on the floor, and well, I know as much as me and mom love going there on Wednesday for locals day, I think for the time being and in the near future we will be avoiding the restaurant for the foreseeable future and highly advise anyone else to do the same. read more

My boyfriend and I just moved here from Tucson. We decided to play some slots and have some dinner. It happened to be "All you can eat Spaghetti and Meatballs Special" that night. I NEVER order spaghetti anywhere anymore because I'm usually disappointed with the sauce and the texture of the meatballs. I saw it being served to the table next to us and it looked good so I took a chance. IT WAS FANTASTIC! I will definitely be going back for that. On another visit we tried the Prime Rib Special and it was perfectly cooked and tender. I am consistently impressed with their food and service there. Even the Nachos are incredible. read more

Had the patty melt , which was good, however they were skimpy on the fries. I counted 13 of various sizes. I brought it to the attention of the manager. He told me that was the standard 6 ounce portion. I was impressed when he chastized two little girls for running around in the restuarant. read more

The races were fun and the environment was great. I wouldn't recommend eating at the restaurant what so ever. I had the Salisbury steak and it looked alright, tasted like a banquet TV dinner and destroyed my stomach for the night and day. Never again! read more

we took my future inlaws to dinner for their 50th wedding anniversary. Six of us ordered meals, one person was served far before anyone else and was then done eating before the rest of us were served. Both of my inlaws said it was the worst steak they had ever had...dry and rubbery were the words they used to describe it. No ones meals seemed to be close to expectations. Premade store bought dinner rolls, canned vegetables,and food barely warm at best, let alone the look of disappointment on the faces of y future inlaws faces...disappointment is an understatement. The manager was nowhere to be found, i looked for him and wanted to voice my concerns, but to no avail when he is unavailable. I cant think of a reason to return. read more

I have visited Sunray Casino and sports bar about twice a week for the past 6 months. I am from Oregon, 78 years old, have an official Oregon drivers license which I have had to present each time I visit for a drink. I was refused a drink the last time I visited the bar by the facility manager because "my card had been altered". I had changed my address in 2016 and had a official state sticker showing my correct address, The manager said because my card was altered he could not accept it, although they had accepted it many times over the past 6 months. Their service is slow, food is okay, but poor management. Won't return, Farmington offers better places for food and entertainment. read more

The sports bar and restaurant are the worst in the 4 corners area. I've tried this place several times, it's awful. The service is nonexistent. Staff follows managements lead, management doesn't care neither does staff. If you complain they tell you to pay and leave, and don't come back. I've seen this happen numerous times. I am a young, successful full blooded Navajo who has lived in Phoenix, AZ, for 20 years. I recently visited Farmington, NM, to attend a family member's graduation. While I was there, my family and I stopped at the Sun Ray Casino for lunch. When I first walked in, I stood there for quite some time waiting to be seated. There was a gentleman and two women standing behind the cashier counter. No one greeted us to acknowledge our presence. So we waited patiently and the "hostess" finally seated us. We looked over the menu and had a few questions because this is was our first time dining at this facility. Fifteen minutes later our waitress takes our drink and food order. I asked if the Navajo Taco was good and the waitress responded by saying, "I don't eat Navajo food.", I took a chance on the Navajo Taco, and the waitressed asked if I want the green or the red sauce, I responded by asking, "Which one would you recommend?", and the waitress said, "I don't know, I've never had their sauces", I thought the waitress lacked knowledge of the menu and her responses to my menu questions were extremely rude and offensive. I believe that she could have handled the situation much better by emphasizing customer service and responding by simply saying, "I have not had the Navajo Taco but it is one of our popular menu items." If she never had the red or green sauce she should have suggested first to put both of the sauces on the side. Our chips and salsa was placed on the table without appetizer plates. My sister went to the hostess and asked for plates because there were three of us sharing the chips and salsa. Once our drinks and food were dropped off at our table, we never saw our waitress again until she came to drop off the bill. At that moment when we were done eating, she offers to re-fill our water. I believe that the service we received were lacking in many areas so I asked to speak with the manager. The manager comes to our table and I tell her about my experience in her restaurant. The only feedback I received was we were rude to her wait staff, and she demanded we pay our bill and leave! I know I was not dinning in a five star restaurant and I was not expecting five star service but all around the restaurant staff at the Sun Ray Casino lacks customer service, and they are just plain rude. Living in Phoenix, AZ, for 20 years and working in the Country Club industry for over five years, I have had the privilege of serving individuals who live on a monthly budget all the way to millionaires. In my experience it does not matter what color your skin is or how much money is in your bank account, I will treat with the highest respect because my customers provide me with a check. I appreciate my job and everything it has provided. So therefore, I proceed to take my suggestions to a higher level of management and I voiced my concern to the property manager. The property manager saw nothing wrong with the way we were treated in his restaurant. He asked what I want to see out of my complaint and I told him I was not asking for a free meal but I would want to see a change in staff because they lack customer service. He allowed the restaurant manager to argue with me in front of him in the main lobby and keep saying we did not pay our bill, which I was aware of since I had the ticket in my hand. Getting thrown in jail for not paying a $22 tab is not worth it. His response to her rudeness was, "we are going to react to how we get treated!" Honestly with that mindset and attitude explains why Sun Ray could be shut down because the new Navajo casino in Upper Fruitland is taking their business. Like I said before I am not asking for anything free, I simply want to share my experience and concern. After this experience I feel that my race and age had a lot to do with how I was mistreated. I do not fit the typical Navajo stereotype that some have embedded in their brains. The words in this letter cannot explain how upset this situation has made me. I have never been treated this way in my life! I hope my letter will bring a positive change. I would never want anyone to be treated this way by anyone. read more
