They also have a good selection of products: from fishing rods, beginner kits, to individual parts inside the case, by the register. They have everything you need to get started on your fishing journey. I came in to shop for the first time, a week ago and picked up a rod. The owner was extremely helpful and helped me secure a good one. I didn't pick up a tackle box that time, and totally regretted it. But I did, on my 2nd trip, and they had a great deal on a tackle box with all the essentials inside. I just had to pick up some bait (yes, they have live bait too). You definitely have to check this place out when you get the chance. I'm looking forward to my next shopping experience here.

I was traveling for work and found out at the last second that I had Saturday free. I called Duranglers on Friday afternoon and they were able to set me up with a guide for the next day on the Animas. My guide (Jimmy) was awesome! There were 11 hunters in camp (we were told there would only be 3 of us). Not one happy hunter in camp all week. Didn't see any good bucks. What a wonderful choice that was! Dave and his team know this river! My dad and I were in one boat and friends were in another and we were hooked up with fish all day! I'm talking arms sore at the end of the day from catching so many fish! And a number of them were 20+ inches! But let me tell you more about Dave and the kind of guy he is. The first day we were on the river we were wading in the Texas Hole. Dave was rowing by me as I landed a pretty nice fish and offered to snap some pictures for me. At this time he and I had never met or even talked. I am not a big photo taker so I politely declined and released the fish. He asked what I was using. I told him what I had on and he asked if I had the fly they were using. I had never heard of it. He was already past me at this time but when he drifted past me about 15 minutes later (the Texas Hole is one large loop up and down the river) he pulled up to me and gave me a couple of his flies. We chatted for a minute or two before my dad, who had booked our float trip with Dave for later in the week, recognized him from videos he had watched. Crazy that we were chatting having no idea we were his clients a couple days later. I've never had a guide pull his boat over on the river to hand a complete stranger some flies that were catching fish. This tells me that Dave is a guide that cares about everyone on the river and likes to see everyone catch fish and have fun. I highly recommend Elite Fly Fishing and their guides. We will definitely be booking more float trips with Dave and his crew every time we head out to the San Juan!

Shilo is a knowledgeable and fun guide. He really showed us a good time and worked the day to suit our preferences. He is also very knowledge about the area and the wildlife in the area. I can't say enough good things about him. Jack was also a great help driving the van and pulling the trailer. He kept track of us as we moved down the river and was readily available when we wanted to get out and go do a section again. We rafted on a day later in the season with the Animas river running about 200cfs--perfect for a group of with children, novices adults and an active senior. Loved the lead guide's safety presentation that was peppered with some great humour. Punctual; clean gear; loved all the writing in the bus. Great place.
