This is the first multicultural church that I have found in the Banning area. I love seeing different ages and races all coming together to worship. They are so welcoming and up to date with new songs. They are relatable and preach straight from the Bible, not their feelings. They have small groups to connect and feel apart of the church and they care about the children and youth having a safe space to learn the word of God with peers. They aren't so old school and traditional so you can come dressed comfortable or dressy, which ever style you prefer. They aren't so music style is a great mix of slow praise and worship and up beat worship music. I'm impressed. I hope they start increasing their media or illustrative approach with examples of the message to relate to real life to the church service. It will keep the younger adults more in tuned and connected. We will continue to visit. read more

The people are always friendly and amazing and full of life. The worship team is full of God given talent. The pastor is a great role model and leader. There are prayer partners that pray for and with those who wish to receive prayer. The baptisms are life-changing. The elders are very educated and reliable. The childrens services are fun and simple and those who teach them are responsible and creative. I always feel safe when I'm there and significantly better after. I recommend this church to everyone. read more

Pastor Joel has truly been called and blessed to spread God's word in such a way that holds the audiences' attention - both young and old. I love his preaching style because he applies the teachings of the Bible to day-to-day scenarios making sermons easy to follow and most importantly easy to apply in our day-to-day lives. During every service you are given a small pamphlet with fill in-the-blank spaces and bible verses that were discussed highlighting some of the most important takeaway points which you can take home and look over to help with your spiritual growth. My family and I have been attending Sunrise for a little bit over a year and seeing how much the church has grown both physically in attendance and diversity as well as spiritually is truly beautiful as more and more people are calling Sunrise their church home. If you're looking to become part of a church and its community I definitely recommend coming here, everyone is so welcoming and it's a great place to worship for the whole family. read more

Bible based and very friendly. Kids church for the younger members. Lots of opportunities to get involved

Currently this congregation doesn't have a fully operating church location in our area so they are temporarily holding services at the Sundance elementary school. I thought that it would be odd to attend church in a cafeteria, but, honestly it wasn't weird. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. We are newbies and seemed to stick out because everyone came to greet us and welcome us. I was introduced to so many people that I couldn't remember all their names. lol Honestly though... they all seem like a close church family and I liked that. The services were good. I was raised catholic so seeing a PowerPoint on the scriptures as they were being read was different. But, I actually liked it a lot better. I think we may make this our go to church in the area. : ) read more

We've been coming here for 3 years now. So excited to be able to do outdoor church services right now due to covid. The weather is perfect, you bring your own chair, they check temperatures. Its a safe, clean environment. The best part is seeing everyone and being able to worship together. read more

This church has strong biblical preaching, a family friendly welcoming atmosphere, and a culturally and ethnically diverse group of people who attend. It is such a blessing to our family to be a part of this local body. Feeling lost on where to go? So many churches out there profess to be "friendly". But it's true here! You feel welcomed. Smiles upon smiles . People aren't afraid to shake your hand. It's clever to have people wear a name badge . Then you feel like someone not a stranger when called by name. The church is awaiting the completion of it sanctuary on Wilson and Mountain. But it's not the building that makes a church.., it's the people !! I love the time spent explaining Gods word but in a tone to not I intimidate a person . We are all lambs in Gods flock searching for something to fill the void that gnaws at us. Arms are open come by and get a hug, smile and a great service. Everyday people searching for the same things. The school is temporary housing don't let it mislead you. Come stop by, say hello , sit for a spell and hear Gods word. Services are at 9 and 11 am .
