I absolutely adored this place! My husband booked a room for us last minute due to a medical…read moreemergency with his grandmother and they were able to accommodate us quickly. Located behind the mall in Greenwood, SC it is easy to spot from the main road but tucked away just enough that you only receive traffic from other hotel guests which in our case wasn't much (thankfully). Our room was ready when we arrived and because we arrived so late in the night I was able to take in all of the hotel without any distractions. It was very modern and adorned with bright aqua colors. The lobby smelled clean and inviting. There was plenty of space to sit and enjoy a book, scroll through you phone or just watch one of the several wide screen TVs located throughout the lobby. They have two large screen computers where you can browse the internet and an area where you can purchase soft drinks, chips and other misc items you may need like eye drops, bandaids, etc. The hotel has continental breakfast, free WiFi, a pool open during the spring and summer months, a beautiful outdoor glass fire pit with comfy chairs, a fantastic workout room, tables and private booth areas for watching tv, eating breakfast or just relaxing. They always have coffee and hot tea ready in the lobby which is a nice touch and very convenient. Our room had a K cup coffee maker with several hot beverages to choose from, a safe within a modern private closet, two comfy beds and the bathroom had a selection of Bath and Body Works products. My favorite of the whole stay was the workout room and continental breakfast. I loved sitting at my private booth and enjoying my morning cup of coffee while looking out the floor to ceiling windows at the fire pit. I would definitely stay here upon our return to Greenwood!

Poor choice for stays more than one night. They charge premium rates for low-budget service…read moreexperience at this hotel. They deliberately operate with minimal housekeeping staff. During our six-night stay, our trash was never emptied, toilet paper was not replaced, and dirty towels were not taken away or refreshed. Guests are expected to remove their own trash and place it along with used towels outside their door. To receive clean towels, toilet paper, or trash can liners, you must either catch a housekeeper while they are cleaning out a checked-out room or go down to the front desk to get supplies and towels. Do yourself a favor and choose the Hampton or the Fairfield that provides normal hotel services. Kindly note that early check-in is not accommodated, as the elderly male desk clerk rudely informed us official check-in time begins at 3pm.

They have attempted to charge me $50 for not smoking in my room. What was being portrayed was the last set of steps where my husband was smoking one morning because it had just rained hard the following night and the designated smoking area had a wet table he could not sit on. He did not throw his cigarette butt on the ground and told the staff why he was there. It was the furthest point he could get away from the building that was dry. We tried the whole time we were here to abide by their policies but I guess we just didn't do well for the Baymont of greenwood.

Thank goodness my stay here was only a few days. I would have lost it if it had been any longer…read more Don't stay here! There are plenty of other motels right down the street. I arrive before my roommate and get us checked-in. As I make my way to our room, I notice there's no connection between the right and the left side of the second floor. You have to go down and then up the stairs to get to your neighbors right behind you. Terrible design. Get into the room and the first thing I do, no many how cheap or fancy a hotel may be, is check for bed bugs. CHECK FOR BED BUGS. I pulled the sheet back and there was a dead bug. Compared a picture of it to a bed bug online. Sure enough! Ran back downstairs with my luggage and dead bug in hand (not really... in some tissue). Front desk called her manager, but I can't remember what happened with that next. Roommate showed up as soon as I was getting another room. Walked in and one of the beds had zero bedding and the mattress was falling off. Third room was better, but still sucked. My roommate is a very light sleeper and the fridge kept making BRRRBRRR sounds throughout the night. There was dust everywhere, food in the fridge and microwave, towels had stains, bed sheets had stains, barely any sockets. A disaster. Tried to print something in the lobby the next day. A mess. Printer wouldn't connect and the person at the front desk had no idea what to do. I gave up and prayed our time there would go by quickly. It didn't, but we survived. Wyndham should be ashamed.

This is the most misleading motel in town. My house was being remodeled and my family ; 3 kids , my…read morehusband , and myself, were going to need a room for two weeks. We decided on this motel and decided to only check in one night and if we liked it we would book a room for a week . The first night we had a cozy room downstairs, which made it easy to accommodate our 18 month old in and out and all was well. We ate our complementary breakfast the following morning and I went to speak with the front desk clerk about the following week. I was annoyed that 2 weeks $660 paid and we had to move to an upstairs room but I said ok we can handle this. The next day my daughter went downstairs before school to eat free complementary breakfast and the desk woman was calling our room saying it's only for overnight guest. Are you kidding me? Durring this horrible two week stay, we never saw a housekeeper and no one ever came to clean our room or change our sheets. After 10 days I went to front desk and ask the owners for a set of sheets and their vacuum and informed them I would change my sheets and clean our room since obviously that service wasn't included either and she hollered at me and told me I would have to wait until the next day . She couldn't get any. The following day they brought me the vacuum cleaner and sheets but our experience was the worst possibly imaginable for the rate and the sign in front doesn't say only nightly guest get free breakfast.
