Power was off for over 48hrs and the staff did everything in their power to keep the guest calm and try to find solutions. Their upbeat attitude was a island in the storm so to say. They found food, helped people charge their phones, all with a smile. Thank you to the amazing staff all around who worked tirelessly. During our six-night stay, our trash was never emptied, toilet paper was not replaced, and dirty towels were not taken away or refreshed. Guests are expected to remove their own trash and place it along with used towels outside their door. To receive clean towels, toilet paper, or trash can liners, you must either catch a housekeeper while they are cleaning out a checked-out room or go down to the front desk to get supplies and towels. Do yourself a favor and choose the Hampton or the Fairfield that provides normal hotel services. Kindly note that early check-in is not accommodated, as the elderly male desk clerk rudely informed us official check-in time begins at 3pm.

After 10 days I went to front desk and ask the owners for a set of sheets and their vacuum and informed them I would change my sheets and clean our room since obviously that service wasn't included either and she hollered at me and told me I would have to wait until the next day . Not much information was available online, so we called the morning we were interested in renting a pontoon boat and didn't have any trouble finding an available boat. We should have mentioned over the phone that we were interested in bringing our two dogs with us - upon arrival, the gentleman explained that dogs are not allowed to swim in the lake or jump off the boat, and because the boat has outdoor carpeting, wet/smelly dog will make it very difficult to clean. We knew that one of our dogs is a jumper/swimmer and didn't want to take the risk of violating the rules, so we took them back to the Airbnb instead. The gentleman was very nice, patient, and accommodating. He gave great instructions as far as how to drive the boat, where to go, etc. We didn't think we would end up using the full four hour rental but it went by super fast! Upon return, we didn't have any issues with him trying to charge us for anything. Neither the boat nor equipment was super new, it showed signs of wear, but for the most part was well-maintained. We had an awesome day on the lake!
