The biggest strike against this facility is the wifi was not working and was told that someone was coming to fix the following day, but not useful for us after check out. Our room was clean enough for us for one night. I did note spider webs in the corner ceiling of shower that sort of stood out because they were black as if there was a fire. All rooms have a compact refrigerator and a microwave. Our refrigerator did not have any shelves, but it worked and was sufficient to keep our bottled beverages cool. The microwave sat on top of the refrigerator, but did not have an available outlet to plug in, so I moved the microwave to the bedside nightstand where there was an available outlet. I wouldn't have noticed how dirty/dusty the refrigerator top was if I wouldn't have moved the microwave. The room did have an ironing board, but no iron in the iron holder. The bed was VERY comfortable and we will definitely make this our place to stay when in this town.

Counters themselves were sticky, crumbs on the counter and on the floor. Floor was not vacuumed at all. Even the hallway to going to my room was dirty and not vacuumed. Pool area was closed all weekend, even though when booking it said was open and that was a big reason we booked this hotel. There looked like mold on the shower head and on the tub. And the WiFi was where you have to go to a separate page to log in on your phone and you are unable to use any systems you bring in the WiFi. Tried to ask to pay for a soda and front desk said it was for higher members. Tried to use the vending machine instead and it was out of order. The shower bar for the curtain was off a little. Check out was at 12 and they called around 11 and 11:45 to remind you it was at 12. Do not disturb was on door at check out and around 11:30 we had a knock on the door from housekeeping. Felt a big pushy to leave before check out time. Breakfast was not mine or my husbands favorite. We ended up not eating much and going somewhere else to eat. They didn't refill the milk the first day when we came down and the second day the milk was a little warm. Power was off for over 48hrs and the staff did everything in their power to keep the guest calm and try to find solutions. Their upbeat attitude was a island in the storm so to say. They found food, helped people charge their phones, all with a smile. Thank you to the amazing staff all around who worked tirelessly. I will be staying at Hampton Inn Greenwood for all of my future trips to the area.
