Excellent service and results. After intense pain for weeks…read moreand very strong painkillers I decided to try something else. GP diagnosis was different from Dr Zhu's diagnosis and proceeded to treat with different treatment. 1st session of acupuncture was at least 75% less pain on leaving the surgery and stopped all the strong pain relief and this has eased further over the last few weeks. Only had about 5% residual pain in the evenings and light analgesic medication. 2nd session after 3 weeks and I can clench my hand again and no tender places on the hand either. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend Dr Zhu's clinic to anybody who is looking for an effective alternative to…read morewestern medicine. I visited Dr Zhu's clinic mainly because I had a stomach virus that needed immediate attention, but also to have him examine a recurring pain in my back. Before going to Dr Zhu for treatment I visited my GP with the stomach complaint, the GP was unsure what was exactly wrong with me, but he thought it was perhaps either a bacterial or viral infection. However, the medication he prescribed agitated my stomach and put me through greater pain. A friend suggested I visit Dr Zhu's traditional Chinese medical centre as they had a positive experience in the past. Dr Zhu was able to ease the pain I was feeling in my stomach almost immediately using a combination of Chinese herbal medication and acupuncture. The pain in my lower back was the result of an old work acquired injury from several years ago; the pain gives me difficulty sleeping at night. After the Dr gave me a treatment of acupuncture, cupping, massage and osteopathy; the muscle on my lower back wasn't as tense and I was able to sleep the whole night. I will definitely be going back to Dr Zhu's clinic for follow up treatment. In the future I will go to Dr Zhu for a consultation for general health advice.

I never really quite understood the point of homeopahty but I'll try anything once...within reason!…read more Anyway, I was really stressed out, burnt out, getting ill all the time and not sleeping well. Add to that, I experienced something quite traumatic and you get the picture, I was a bit of a mess. An acquaintance had suggested I considered homeopathy. So, I looked into it. I approached Sarah and we began the work. I see her once a month and we review how I'm doing and whether I need any remedies. Sarah is compassionate, humourous, discreet, supportive and straight-talking. In the time I have been seeing her (just a few months) I've got my energy back, I'm more relaxed. I haven't been ill in months and I'm sleeping like a baby. Add to that, I'm happier in myself, more confident and assertive, doing more of what I want and achieving more of what I want. I'm even considering a change of career! Which reminds me, Sarah also works as a career coach. I highly recommend her!

And for women over 35, too much stress can set them up for a difficult peri-menopause (when your ovaries are winding down but you still have your periods), and post-menopause. This is a particular area of interest of mine - supporting women in midlife suffering with any of the 47 symptoms that can accompany this phase! See my website for more detail. Homeopathy is a natural, non-toxic treatment for problems - physical, mental and emotional. Visitors can marvel as tax money paid by you and me (well... not me, I've literally be evading tax since the day I was born) is flushed away on mumbo jumbo medicines and mumbo jumbo doctors. Future historians will also marvel at the quaint medical fantasies of middle class Sunday-Times reading (and believing) Londoners, just as today's historians look back on practices like leeches and trepaning. Incidentally, these two practices would almost certainly become available at the RLHH (or 'RLMBH' for short) if someone were to write a Times article claiming they solve such concerning ailments as 'waitrose has sold out of marmalade' and 'I don't know which curtains to put up in my landrover'. It's reassuring that the RLMBH still offers 'conventional care' - actual medical treatment - as the other hospitals under the umbrella of University College London Hospitals (not actually part of UCL but an NHS foundation trust) are first-class teaching institutions. However they 'compliment' this 'conventional care' with sheer quackery 'where there is evidence of the effectiveness of complementary therapies'. Well sorry chaps, there's no evidence. I remember thrashing out this issue over breakfast while staying in Chengdu once. My opponent was a girl who was trying to pass off some vaguely distilled water as a cure for my friend's hangover. She had apparently wasted four years of precious life to 'study' mumbo jumbo and yet could not provide any basis for an argument. She simply repeated "it upsets me when you say that" each time I demanded factual evidence. I must admit, I did feel sorry for her and so offered her a Neurofen tablet, which she angrily declined. Unfortunately... someone... somewhere... at some time... felt sorry for someone in London... and gave them a whole hospital where everyone can go and bury their heads in the sand at the taxpayer's expense.

I actually worked here in the pharmacy for four years and it was a wonderful and interesting experience. It specialises in Allergy Environmental and Nutritional Medicine. The pharmacy made up most of the concoctions and I have memories of making up lotions and potions prescribed by the doctors. We made up a lot of creams and ointments for skin problems. All the doctors here are qualified in Allopathic and well as Homeopathic medicine and the service is on the NHS which is fantastic.
