Majority of the teachers aren't or haven't been credentialed as well as some of the counseling staff so instead of allowing them to finish their programs, they've decided that they're going to layoff 85% of their staff they also gave their staff a one month notice pretty much of this layoff not giving them time whatsoever to figure out what the next steps are. They do not have students interest interests at the heart of what they do their main focus as money and it has been since day one just google them and you'll see all the stuff that pops up. Everything that abc10 has said about them and all of the investigations that go back all the way to 2015 are 100% correct. Unless the school decides to hire credentialed people and people who have actually worked in education, they will never be a good school and I highly doubt that they will ever do what's right because they would prefer to hire people who have no education or experience because of nepotism.

I realized they are asking $300 for three days, or $22,000+ for a short class ( couple weeks I believe) .. RED FLAG. Initial feelings verified. When They called for the 5th time ( RED FLAG ) I called back to inquire about course charges / fees. This was the conversation. ATO: " hey, do you still want to attend the free class? ME: " sure, But I had some questions about the course's being sold. The district hires and retains inexperienced, rude, unmotivated, privileged teachers set in their ways, racist staff, and have discriminatory practices. I am a parent of 4 students who attended schools in the district since 2008 and it has only gotten worse. My youngest is at Rio Americano and the culture is toxic and dysfunctional. His counselor Sydnee Butcher needs training and support as an academic guidance counselor. Doesn't surprise me being trained by Elizabeth Irwin. When Sydnee first appeared last year, she was very vocal about change and supporting students. She stated she once was a student there and her experience there allowed her to identify areas of improvement. My experience with her is that is far from the truth. Sydnee doesn't perform any research nor does she fact check. She just blindly regurgitates what Elizabeth feeds her. My son is in a unique position and has aspirations for which he has set goals. While trying to reach those goals, Sydnee and Elizabeth have only worked to hold him back with hard stops. They are not helpful at all. You would think your academic guidance counselor wants students to succeed and instead of delivering hard stops, they will use their discretion (they have levels of discretion) to find ways and create opportunities to support students success. If you are able to get your children into a different district. Please do so. You will not regret it. If you are not able, please listen to your children, the teachers and staff lack integrity.

I just graduated from the paralegal studies program. I had a great experience aside from the…read moreadmissions office telling me the program would only be 24 months. The length was over 2 1/2 years. I started January 2020 and finished August 2022. I would have appreciated the transparency upfront during the admissions process. Some students were there longer than me. I'd recommend clarifying this during the admissions process if you plan on attending this school. The instructors were overall great. Some would go out of their way to schedule one on one tutoring sessions if a student needed it. I really felt that I had support if I needed it. The legal instructors were very knowledgeable in the field and taught skills and tasks that are used in the legal field. I had the pleasure of attending while Linda Gardenhire was Department Chair and then Eric Fernandez when she retired. They were both amazing and supportive throughout my whole program. They were very personable and I felt like they genuinely really cared about the success of their students. I happened to have Eric as an instructor for Contract Law and Advanced Legal Research and Writing. These classes were definitely a challenge for me, I made sure to meet with Eric early on and communicate this to him. He did a great job clarifying and helping me through the challenging assignments. He really pushed me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to be better. The class material mirrors what paralegals do in the field and will help prepare anyone looking to succeed in the legal field.
