I was initially skeptical because the reviews are high but no recent ones. We were visiting Sunriver and were looking for an indoor activity, so gave the number a call. Spoke to a gentleman who was very helpful and informative, and I was able to get a vr slot for the next day. 2 elementary aged and 1 adult all had a blast!! It was our first time doing vr, and it felt very real, like you were in the game, although there was a learning curve. It's a week later, and my kids keep asking to do vr again. OK, this place was incredibly fun. This is my first virtual reality gaming experience. As part of the big brother little brother program I took my 12-year-old little brother here for our weekly outing. I am not into digital games at all. But after a warm welcome from the owners daughter and 10 minutes of training I found myself transported into virtual worlds that felt amazingly real and dynamic. Our one hour went by quickly as we defended our area from robots or went sightseeing in the beautiful Arizona desert, of course, avoiding the annoying and unattractive zombies! All I can say to sum up is that it way exceeded my expectations for experiencing a virtual world, was much more fun than this non-gamer expected, and was a business that was a pleasure to deal with. We stayed in Sunriver for a week this past Christmas season and happened to see a sign for Sunriver VR, my teenage son looked it up and was immediately excited and wanted us to check it out. We ended up spending Christmas Eve and Christmas night playing together in virtual worlds! This is definitely not the traditional way people spend the holidays, but with 2 teenage kids, it was perfect! The owner was so nice and helpful explaining how everything worked and even downloaded a demo game my son had asked about but he hadn't tried yet. The VR experience itself was amazing! There are 6 different partitioned areas, some with comfy leather couches for the spectators. Each room has the HTC Vive set up along with a tv screen so you can see what the player is seeing. We tried about 8 different games but there are so many more I want to try next time we visit. Probably my favorite was Tilt Brush, though the zombie game was awfully fun too. Though a bit scary with life-sized zombies coming at you! I'm excited to see what the future brings in the virtual reality entertainment area. This place is a lot of fun. The prices are well worth it, especially with the large assortment of deals and discounts they offer. The game selection is broad, and the premium games are worth the upgrade. I had a *blast* with Raw Data, but it didn't feel like the time went by too quickly. This was aided by the easy access to a time remaining counter. This among other features makes the management software stand out as exceptional. The only thing that really irked me about this place, and why it gets 4 stars instead of 5, is the well-intentioned but effectively irritating staff. While their help getting used to the VR controls is probably very helpful for some people, constant "tips" and instruction really ruins immersion. Bonus: Guest review featuring my mother! Recently my son took us to Sunriver vr for some computer gaming fun. Now I'm not big on computer games, and I get very confused by all the controller buttons, but I thought it would be really fun to watch my guys play the virtual reality games. The place was clean and well kept. The room we booked had a comfy couch the 3 of us could sit on while we watched the player. I had no intention of being any more than an observer, but the employees were so nice and my boys insisted I try. The one employee suggested I might like Blu, an under sea exploration. I was entranced. It was beautiful, easy, fun and most of all so incredibly relaxing. It was so relaxing! Worth every penny. Next time we go I'm going to try her next suggestion where I get to be mother nature and make plants grow. There is a game for everyone there and everyone can feel confident and have a good time. We enjoyed our outside drinks and snacks they let us bring in. I can't wait to go again. Next time I want to bring the grandparents with us. Can't wait! read more

David and Christine provided an amazing experience for our son's birthday! We brought 13 kids, and they all had an amazing time! I especially appreciated how patient they were in attending to the kids throughout the two-hours we were there. The VR setups are VERY cool, and the games provided a ton of fun for the kids both in co-op mode and individual. We had kids from 8 to 12 and everyone had a blast. Normally we do a trampoline or similar activity, so this was a great way to mix it up. We will definitely be back again for more:) read more

We're from Bend but decided to go as an excuse to get out of the house on a rainy day. We loved it! The owner was super helpful and friendly. If you have never tried VR it is a must!!! It is incredible!!! The customer service was fantastic! The owner (I think he was the owner) was very nice and extremely helpful! VR is the future! When you out on the goggles, you are put in the shoes of another person in another world. If you play a shooter, you can look down, rotate and observe every inch of the gun in your hand. It even feels like a gun, although it's actually a controller. It sounds silly, but you need to see for yourself! Overall, it was super fun and totally worth the price of admission! Great! I took two of my grandchildren here on a visit to Bend, and they had a great time. The VR experience really exceeded my expectations and the 360 degree aspect of the "games" was incredible. Our "guide" was totally helpful, and patient with the kids and grandpa alike. They were also quite flexible, adding a child to our party, adding an extra half hour on the spot, giving us the "25% off they advertised" even though I didn't know about it. I enjoyed a stroll on the Ocean floor, they slaughtered zombies, the little guy wiped out a lot of pretty nasty looking dinosaurs, you can even spend your time as a virtual fry cook (?) so there's a lot of variety too. read more

They have a huge selection of games and you can bring in your own food and drink if you'd like. We had our time blocked out for two hours and it seemed go by way to fast. Awesome life experience! If you do book, book for one person to get the most bang for your buck & best experience. The group experience, only has one VR goggle that you share while others watch. This is not bad if you are a group of 3-4 & aware you each will have limited time. We were a family of 3; w/ 9y.o. boy. We each found a game or experience we enjoyed & left wanting more. This was a great experience we found via Groupon. Despite this being our first time using the VR controllers and headset, he patiently and enthusiastically explained everything we'd need to know. The games were fantastic! We enjoyed Island 359 for some immersive dinosaur hunting (try the bow and arrow out). The haunted mine cart ride was really intense with some good jump scares and really feeling like you're riding in a mine cart. We ended up playing twice as long because we were having so much fun. Anytime you needed help, the owner was right around the corner to offer tips for the game you were playing or help out with whatever technical question you had. All in all, a really fun experience that we're looking forward to trying again! read more

(Coming from an 12 year old) Don't think that VR is nothing different from another screen. IT IS THE BEST GAMING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER TRIED. Perfect for beginners, because they literally tell you everything you need to know, in a very kind manner. The people are patient, and as I said, are super kind. The prices are worth it, VR is a totally different realm of gaming, since it isn't like staring into a screen, more like entering a new world. They have tons of game options, from beautiful views and heights in Google Earth, that my dad played, to the daring game of Richie's Plank Experience, of which my older brother played. I personally played Job Simulator, Beat Saber, and Superhot VR. Overall everything was awesome. Though you have to go to Subways public bathroom when you have to go. BUT! That is the next building, so it isn't a big hassle. But still, Just.So.Awesome! My family is definitely going again. read more

We come to Sunriver annually and decided to escape the crowds at the SHARQ and try something a little different this year. Our 6 year olds loved playing fetch with a robot dog, our 9 and 13 year olds explored the solar system and the adults fought zombies and dinosaurs. Fun for kids and adults alike!
