The hem they completed was not even straight and they altered my daughter's prom dress by making a crooked line down the middle of dress ( that was not there before). When I pointed out their error, they acknowledged their poor work and made the hem straight. However, why would they make alterations be visible and make a straight in the middle of the dress??? She was very friendly and polite and was very good at explaining things (how and why my jacket tore, different types of stitching used that can cause the issue, etc) I ended up sitting in her warm office (it was quite cold outside) while she stitched my jacket up. Very friendly, fast and affordable service. I'll be coming back anytime I need something stitched in the future and will recommend this place to people I know in the area. I came in a few years ago to get my prom dress shortened because it was too long and he said I didn't need to. He then proceeded to tell me my boobs were not full enough to make the dress fit and the color was unflattering for my skin tone so I should just get an entirely different dress instead... ??? I really tried giving this guy a second chance but I thought those comments were really rude + uncalled for and I'm never going back there again after that. Main lady at this small mom-and-pops store is named Rachel. She's very polite and tries her best to respond to your questions in English (her level is understandable as long as you're using simpler words so don't get fancy when asking questions -- unless you don't want the right responses. If you can speak Cantonese, that's her dialect FYI). She'll give you a green receipt to take away with after you've agreed on scope of work and prices. Overall, pleasant experience so far.

There was a little bit of a language barrier, and I wouldn't say she's the most jovial person b/c of the communication barrier, but she is extremely skilled at what she does so I was able to explain what I needed done, and she worked wonders. She removed layers of fabric making it lighter, but also more breathable. With one fitting she tailored it perfectly to my body. I almost couldn't believe it. I ended up taking it home and then realizing that I needed a little more security around the bust area. I brought it back, she did it and didn't charge me. She also adjusted the slit because it was a little too high for me. Overall, I would absolutely recommend going here. She's professional and extremely skilled, and that is what matters most.

The shop is extremely small and tight, but the ladies here do a good job. In no way does it look like their intention to be unfriendly, but it's just the way they operate - quick and to the point. In addition, they don't speak fluent English, so sometimes things can get lost in translation. If you DO need any type of alterations or clothing fixes, all you have to do is walk in, present to them what you need done and they'll take a look at it on the spot and let you know if it can or cannot be done. If whatever you need can be done, they'll fill out a receipt for you with the date you came in, what the work is and how much it might cost. When your clothing is ready, they'll give you a call and you can come in to pick it up. It's that easy or at least those were the experiences I had and each time was a replica of the previous. In addition, the pricing for their work was very reasonable as I called up a few tailoring shops for a quote and Sanita's always came out as the lowest or equivalent.
