The breakfast restaurant: It was a nice place to have breakfast and people overall were very friendly, specially Abraham our server was always friendly and had a smile must of the time. The omelet lady, yessenia was really nice and very clean. I must say the first day, they had someone else making the quesadillas and omelets and she used her bare hands to handle each ingredient there was. I found this very unsanitary, I mentioned to the Abraham who immediately handed us a recommendation chat, the very next day this was corrected. Now, don't expect lots of varieties for breakfast each day; it is usually the same, good but the same.
The selection of food or restaurants was really low, there was an Italian restaurant but keep in mind they only allow 14 years old and older and the Kids club only keep them until 8:15pm so the earlier the better. The selection of food was good, I liked it
The other restaurant, it is called the blue water, it was quiet nice, and the selection of food was also delicious as well, I can not say more because I only went one time but I was not aware how much nicer it was.
Last as far as food, was the Barefoot grill, which was comfortable, especially for my son to have a last or quick bite while at the beach.
The room, we had room 2016 yes this was a nice, clean and with a beautiful view to the ocean/pool area. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was nice unfortunately, the cleaner lady we had was not the best, she did not clean that well, leaving behind dirty glasses,, wet floor, no toilet paper and at times not leaving the toiletries just because there was one left by the sink with a few drops. The other things I dislike was the level of noise in the room, the windows were not noise proof so if you wanted to take a good rest, early night this was not possible given the fact they always had shows.
The beach are was supper nice, love the fact you can have little cabanas and amazing servers coming often to ensure you have everything you needed.
The Beach was beautiful I loved it. However, the policy they have of no reserving meaning don't put your towel and go elsewhere was never reinforced and many people abused by leaving things and going elsewhere, leaving others like me with no area to seat.
The connection HORRIBLE, the internet barely work no matter where you were, pool, lobby, beach and the worst the room. This was really bad, if you really wanted to relax and stay disconnect from the other world then you will be great but I visited during Christmas time and I wanted to share things with my family and the connection made it impossible.
Indoor bar area was nice but it was so HOT, as they have no AC, the waiter there was not friendly either so I only went there once.
The pool/Bar was great, it was a nice big pool with a great slide for the kids, and my son loved it. The drinks by the pool were also cool. BUT I find the quality of the alcohol was not the best. No matter what drink I take, they were all really sweet and or not very tasty, except for the Mojitos, this was mostly my drink.
The reception/check out/receptionists were great, helping out whenever needed and one thing must say not pushing on that time-sharing deal they always offer.
The kid's club: We did not really took advantage of this facility but I did notice lots of activities going on for the kids, my son wanted to hang there but we did not find the time but the one night we decided to eat at the Italian restaurant but they cut out meal time short since they gave us a booze which went on off at 8:05pm and not at 8:30 pm as original time, we were told. They have a lot Christmas activities for the kids.
The gym, it is small with 2 bikes, 3 treadmills and a few free weighs, it was not the best but I was happy to have a little place to work off all that food we constantly ate at the buffets.
Outside of the hotels they have some restaurants, markets and some ice cream places, everything was expensive there, mostly for tourists but I f you go further in you can get last minute cute souvenirs make sure you negotiate prices.
Lastly, ensure you pay for your taxies at the time you arrive at the airport as suppose to wait outside for one. It is much cheaper, it should cost you 440 pesos and the one form the hotel to airport was 280 pesos, as you can see the coming was more given the fact they pay some sort tax. read more
