I had to have a lot of cleaning done, so I booked a few hours with their crew. I listed what I needed done in advance. Not only did they fully complete my list wonderfully, but they went above and beyond that. I asked them to additionally straighten some things in two of the rooms if they had time. Realizing there probably wasn't going to be enough time; I left those rooms and didn't return to them until after the crew had left. To my surprise, not only had they done everything I'd asked beautifully, but they had additionally gone back into those rooms and straightened them in addition to cleaning them. And the entire time they worked, they remained cheerful, kind and polite. They also cleaned the baseboards in the whole house and the ceilings which were not even on my to-do list. Then after they had left, I went into the master bathroom, that had needed the most cleaning of anything and was so happy with what I saw. There had been water spots on the shower wall that I had asked them to remove I explained how important it was to me to get them all off and the gentleman working told me not to worry. He must have gone back in and tried cleaning them even more because it looked incredible once I did see it. I honestly couldn't even believe it! They did every extra thing I asked for and much more in a very polite, professional manner. I really was very happy with the work they did and highly recommend them.

She said they didn't have a time yet. this morning I asked again and got no response. they just showed up! we didn't have the house ready. I was actually in the pool in my birthday suit!! In the past it's always been between 2-4. dishes were not done so I asked them to do the dishes. she said they don't do that. I was not happy. I wouldn't have dishes out had I known when they were coming! I do think anyone thinking of using them should be aware that you will have different teams. so you don't get the connection you would have normally. under some new management in the office, and Rosa is not the go to person anymore.

So I called and said I would like more information on what services they offered and what their pricing was. The woman said she couldn't provide that information over the phone. And no she couldn't provide it if I came in to their office. They could only give me that information after having seen the house and determining how much work was involved. I asked if they could come out to the house and give me an estimate and go over what services and price ranges. I was told they would call me and let me know. A week later I hadn't heard from them so I called again. And again I talked to a woman who couldn't help but would have some one call me. After a week I called once more and again left my number for them to call. By this time I was also calling individuals who were advertising in the paper. One afternoon while I was out, I stopped into the Merry Maids office to find out why they had never called me back. I was told that they had called two times. Since I have an answering machine and had no messages from them I questioned this. I was told that they called me, and got the answering machine. They don't leave messages. They called me back 5 minutes later. And they only make two attempts to return a call. To call more than that was wasting their time. I had made many attempts to get hold of them but my business wasn't worth more than two calls 5 minutes apart, refusing to leave a message. They did tell me that they would not come out to the house and give me an estimate unless I signed a contract before hand. And no, they could not tell me how much I would be charged until they had seen the house and determined how much time it would take. I was unwilling to sign a contract for an undetermined amount of money, for an unspecified amount of work, to be done who knows what day or how frequently. I didn't hire Merry Maids and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
