I love the corner store because I get my chips large variety. Every drink that I want even foreign drinks, even the Mexican chips and I get eggs and bread and they have a large variety of cereals.

They are the bestttt Melissa is the best !!!come by and get the New Hard Jumez!! The service is 5 star!!

Today my phone died when I was around the area. I asked the lady if I could try a cord for an iPhone and she gladly gave it to me and let me try it before buying it, even though it didn't work, then (who i supposed is the owner) kindly looked for another one that worked. After purchasing the item. The guy came up to my car and brought me a water bottle for the inconvenience and said he likes to take care of its clients. What a great costumer service, thank you for your hospitality!

Omg Roy and Sunset Market is the truth!! So I found my favorite tequila to be Gran Malo. Only problem it's not found in stores in California, but a Google search found me Sunset Market. I called and spoke with a very helpful gentleman by the name of Roy. I told him I was looking for some bottles for my birthday next month. Roy said he only has them in sets but once I confirmed I would buy ASAP he made it happen where I got the last 3 bottles. I live in Los Angeles County and Roy even shipped them to me for the low low and I got them next day. Roy and Sunset Market is the truth Thank you!! My birthday party gonna be lit now!!

I Live all the way in Indiana and my sister-in-law was visiting the area for a business trip. I adore mother earth brewing company's Cali Cream'n Vanilla Ale. I called Sunset To see if they carried it and then asked if they could deliver it to my sister-in-law's hotel. Roy was the best help from start to finish and gave me his absolute best when he did not have to. The service was above and beyond. He wrapped my beer so they would not explode during my sister-in-law's flight and get all over her luggage. I felt weird giving my credit card over the phone and he took extra measures so I would feel comfortable. It is always a blessing when you can find someone who works as hard as Roy does in this day in age. Thank you sunset liquors for going above and beyond for me. This Indiana girl is so happy to have her California beer!

Was using drizzly and saw two bottles I was interested in but wanted to make sure they where correct before I ordered them. Save the store and myself some time. I called and the guy on the phone was rude and impatient. He wouldn't let me talk and told me to come in. Why would I come in if I'm using a delivery service he signed up to be part of. When I finally asked if he had a store pick of 4 roses (nothing allocated or crazy priced) like was being shown on drizzly he got pissed of told me no and that I shouldn't be trying to get allocated bottles cheap to "get off my lazy a**". I left a review on google, this crazy guy calls me back and cussed me out. Real professional, I called to verify good thing I did because they didn't have it and now I know they are just shady people trying to rip people off. DO NOT use this place for online.

I live super close to this place and frequent often for various goodies. Love that they literally have so much aside from alcohol and tobacco. I always come here for sodas and juice, chips and ice-cream/ candies. The staff are all super nice and always greet you warmly! The parking is plentiful and free in front of the store. Super close to the 5 freeway. read more

The owner wrote to me about a year ago letting me know that the worker was no longer employed with them. This information is false. This week I decided to go in person and that worker was still there. The customer service is just as poor as it was a year ago. There's so many other liquor stores in the area. Avoid this one! read more

YOU LOST MY BUSINESS!!! Shady Cashier Who Upcharge for Their Profit and Pocket. This liquor store is a rip off and shady!!! I purchased a bottle of D'usse (Cognac clear bottle) and a 24 pack of Michelob Ultra and my bill total was $119 and some change. I believe the bottle of D'usse was $59.99 (on the right side before the cash register), so I cant imagine how much a 24 pack of light beer would cost ($50 for a 24 pack light beer?!?!). Ridiculous!!! I looked at the older Hispanic lady who charge me to see if she was serious, and she must've thought I was dumb or super rich. I didn't cause a scene or even dispute the price because I figured if this lady wanted to upcharge and keep the rest as she may have needed money to keep for herself. But I walked out and lost trust for humanity and this store. This was my go to liquor store as I recently moved around the area, and they do have great selection on their beers. But I came here to buy liquor and beer for guests who visited out of town, and I was in a rush to meet them, so I didn't want to argue. Money comes and goes. I am not struggling for money, but I lost trust for this business. ATTN: OWNER - I WILL NOT BE RETURNING HERE AGAIN!!! Investigate what occured on Thursday, August 17th in the afternoon. Check your cameras. Look for receipt of a bottle of D'usse and a 24 pack. If you cared for your customers then you would fire her. If not, then you are part of the problem and the scam behind this. (P.S I threw out my receipt because as stated money comes and goes. But if you want proof I have my debit statement to match the shadiness the lady pulled.) Note: I called Sunset Liquor a few minutes before posting this to give them a chance and speak to the owner. However, a Hispanic lady (Maria) answered the call, and stated he was not in, but coming in tomorrow morning in Spanish (she didn't speak English as the other time did). I am not unsure it was the lady who upcharge me as she sounded younger, and may not be her. However, I will post this because of the shadiness and greed that I've experienced. read more

Love this store! Super friendly staff, and I was able to find some rare bourbons. They even brought out a glass and let me taste some bourbon that they had open. Bonus - they gave me the glass to take home. Roy was great, he took extra time to make sure I was happy. He had some great bourbon discussions. I will definitely go back to the store! read more

Was there to get some liquor recently. Store looked fine at a glance. Likely a good general liquor store including hard to find items locally. Would have given a higher rating but for both employees that i saw were working without face coverings. No other customers there but assume that this is where a lot of the "anti-maskers" go or will go after reading this. lol Those who have underlying conditions may want to avoid until the pandemic gets under control or they get their vaccinations... At the very least wear a KN95 OR N95 when entering this store as surgical and most washable masks do not protect the wearer but others... read more

These guys are great! Not only did Roy call me to make sure my order was legit, but when I added another item to my order, he grouped it in with my first order and didn't charge me extra shipping. Roy also went above and beyond in another area - he helped me with another order from a different company, also in Chula Vista, that he had heard of...I received an order confirmation and nothing else for 13 days, and he offered to call them and try to get in touch with them...he even did some online research! Go with Sunset Market and Liquor, and Roy will take care of you. read more

I found PLINY THE ELDER here! Yes, you heard me right. If you are an IPA aficionado and you are in the area, it wouldn't hurt to stop by and check out what they have in stock. Of course it's limited. It always is. You may not even be that lucky to find one but with the plethora of great selections they have in store, you won't be walking out the door empty handed. Customer service is awesome and you can really tell the the owner knows his stuff. Sunset Market is a Chula Vista gem! Located just off the freeway, it's too convenient not to make that pit stop. read more

STAY AWAY from this spot. They regularly will advertise bottles of liquor online for one price and when you arrive it will be 4-5 times more expensive than advertised online. They will refuse to price match themselves and get mad at you for asking. They will "call the boss" to check and they will talk bad about you in Spanish (I know what you were saying to your boss). Pricing seems fluid and not in your favor. Price Gougers. read more

I recently ordered a bottle of champagne for delivery to a friend of mine staying nearby this liquor store. I live in another state and have never done business here before. A gentleman by the name of Roy was so unbelievably helpful to me over the phone.. he FaceTimed me to show me the exact bottle he was selecting, allowed me to email him a card I typed up that I wanted included, and after all of this he sent me several photographs to show me what the final product looked like! Above and beyond is an understatement. I could also tell that the store was packed which leads me to believe I'm not the only one who feels that customer service here is way above par! 5 stars - strongly recommend!! Even if you're not in the area, it's never a bad idea to send some booze to your friends nearby! read more

The second, my Dad was when my Dad treated me to a mouth-watering and fresh Turkey submarine sandwich after my Confirmation, when I was about 16-years-old. Those were the days, yes, indeed. Forward to present day, and this deli is still unequivocally, one of my favorites spots to grab lunch or dinner. The staff consisting of a very diligent family are always polite and loquacious. The family certainly takes pleasure in making sure all customers are welcomed with open arms. During the past decade or so, the quality of food has not deteriorated. The pizza is always fresh, and hits the spot. I suggest ordering the 20-inch or 28-inch for events such as a movie night, boxing fight-night matches, or a birthday party for your son and/or daughter or for a family-gathering event in general. The crust from the pizza is thick and slightly crunchy...sometimes, I tear off some parts of the crust and save it for later. The selection of toppings are plenty and just enough to create the pizza to your liking. I would say the toppings are from the old-school style of pizza joints....ya know, that 1980's-style feel. As for the sandwiches, I have to refrain from ordering two! The bread is moist, delicious and pairs well with the choice of sub you select. I must warn you, it can be overwhelming with all the choices the deli has to serve. The Philly Steak is one, if not the best I have consumed in San Diego county. The other subs I suggest are: Turkey, ham and cheese, a Turkey sub, Pastrami sandwich and the gyro. I sincerely hope you will not be disappointed when you try what the deli has to offer. In addition, for the appetizers, the French fries, fried zucchini, and cheese garlic bread are supreme and premium side snacks to add if you are feeling voracious and ravenous. And, who knows, you may see Mario Lopez there during your visit. *Side Notes*: Parking lot is never crowded to a point where you become frustrated, the front entrance is visible and you will not miss the turn to drive inside the parking lot, and the establishment is easy to locate off the 805 freeway or if you are traveling from the roads.

This is probably the best Liquor Store in San Diego. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly! They have a huge selection of alcohol, especially whiskey and tequila. I've purchased my whiskey from there a few times, through delivery and in-store, and their prices on some of their alcohol is very reasonable. For a secondary market, their prices are the best out of other liquor stores that I've been to. I'm definitely a returning customer! I'll be there at least once a month. read more

Needed to send a birthday gift same day. I am currently in Phoenix, AZ and the birthday bro is in San Diego. Raid, from Sunset, took my call, walked me through inventory, gave me a selection of cards to choose from, and had the bottle delivered to the birthday house in less than 1 hour from time of call.
