It was our first time dining at Indianhead Supper Club. Our friends who live in the area have…read moretalked about it for a couple of years so we decided it was time to give it a try. We left a voice mail for a reservation but we never heard back and it was a Wednesday afternoon so it was the first day open for the weekend. We took a chance and drove to the restaurant hoping we had the reservation. We walked in and it was very busy with several people in line and in the same position as we were. Left a message and hoping for the best. As it turns out, the hostess said they only call you if a table is not available in the day/time you requested. Hmmm? My first impression was a warm and inviting supper club. Looks like a lot of original decor from decades ago. Nice paintings, a fireplace and piano although no one was playing that night. Dimly lit with white table cloths. There is a small outside patio but doesn't appear to have a screen so I'm glad we're sat inside this time of year. There is a full bar should you walk in without a reservation, this is a good option. I forgot our servers name but she was very attentive and never left us waiting for service. I started with a dirty martini. It was properly made chilled with the correct vermouth and not too dirty which was nice. Our server brought rolls with butter packets. The rolls were warm and tasty. I ordered the 8 oz. Filet with a baked potato. $46. The filet was cooked to the correct medium temperature but lacked flavor. The potato was cooked properly. It came with sour cream but no butter. I used the butter packets from the rolls. My husband ordered the Pecan Smoked BBQ ribs. $29. Part of the rack was tender and flavorful and the other was a little dry with straw like consistency. The ribs came with a side salad and cup of soup. Our friends said they really enjoyed their meal of Steak Au Poivre and the Walkeye. For desert we ordered the chocolate fudge with vanilla ice cream. The was delicious. Our overall experience was good. They could have a better reservation system in place but the staff appeared to be nice and friendly.

I ordered shrimp cocktail for an app and the shrimp were HUGE! So delish. For my main, I had the cedar plank walleye. It was cooked perfect with a side of green beans and au gratin. I just wish the au gratins were baked, I missed the crispy top. It was more like Mac n Cheese. Our server was fun and we had a great night!

I won't even say dog, I'll say his family. It's his furry person. This bar, put him out due to his service animal. Federal law ppl. The bar owner may have been the one that made that decision, but the staff should have known better. I for one, will never complain about someone with a service animal. Until you walk in the shoes or boots they did, you may not ever get it and what those animals do for them. I hope you all learn from this experience and be better.

This was my second day on the Ice Age Trail. I could not believe it. I let them know It was a federal law and they did not care about that. My service dog is a fully trained German Shepherd and she did have her service dog vest that clearly reads Service Dog on both sides. I left after the young lady told me I had to leave because of my service dog. I spent 18 months in Iraq in the Infantry fighting on the front lines and they treated me like I was 2nd rate citizen. They made me feel like crap. They denied it happened right up tell I posted the video of being told to leave, on my Facebook, and now up on my YouTube under, 22 veteran outdoors. After they saw the video they put up an apology saying it was a misunderstanding. There was no misunderstanding at all they were very clear about it. I read the apology too little too late she told me to leave because of my service dog. I gave them all the time in the world to look up the laws, but they did not, and at the end of the day she told me to leave. This is my first Yelp review I'm only posting up to let others know how they treated me and how it made me feel.
