Carlos with Bossotros Any Services was the 1st handyman to respond. I explained the details of what I needed done, & he asked if he could come by & see the issues firsthand.I replied,"Yes.", & we set up a meeting. He & his coworker, Erick arrived, came in, & reviewed the work that I wanted done. Carlos took measurements, & passed on to Erick what materials needed to be purchased. Afterwards Carlos said that they did want the work, & that he would contact me with an estimate. Not long after that, he replied with his estimate. I said, "Yes I could afford it." I scheduled an appointment for the work, & on that day he & Erick arrived. The first thing that Carlos said to me was, "The price of the trim that he bought to replace my broken trim, had increased since he quoted me the estimate." He even pulled out the sales receipt from Home Depot, & asked me if I still wanted the jobs done? I looked in my check book register, & said, "Yes." He & Erick immediately began replacing our broken trim. Before I knew it, they had replaced our broken trim, & Carlos asked me how it looked? I checked out their work & replied,"That looks great."They gathered their tools, & headed for our bathroom. After a few minutes, Carlos advised me that they needed to go get a specific item from the hardware store. In a brief period they returned, & they very quickly secured our towel holder to the wall. He again asked me to review their work. I said that it looked awesome. I gave Carlos the money, & a thank you card. Without a doubt, I HIGHLY recommend Bossotros Any Services.

First, they charged us for an excessive number of hours to pick some fabrics and put together a layout of one room. Second, their measurements were clearly off, since the size of sofa and other pieces they suggested would have made it difficult to even get into the room. And last, when they priced out the sofa, we found we could save over $2000, buying from a local furniture store using the same fabrics with what appeared to us to be identical or better quality. In the end, we used almost nothing they provided, either with regard to the fabrics or the furniture. $4,000 wasted, as far as I'm concerned. My wife has used other decorators where we used to live in Charlotte. I think Ambiance would be the 4th or 5th. And this was the worst experience ever. Would not recommend.

Linda, with the contribution of Tessa Eaton (another Ambiance talent) designed a modified floor plan to enlarge the tiny baths, designed our dream kitchen, and also provided moral and artistic support. Our budget was tight and they respected that. Nevertheless great design is money well spent. We would have made a bunch of rookie mistakes by ourselves. Linda really "got" us but took our vision and made it so much more. I love the design for a coffee "garage". That's just one small example of the extra touches that will make this old wreck a super fun home. And to top it off, her color sense is dead on gorgeous.
