Fins Up came to my condo this morning to remove a large sectional sofa and left me very pleased…read morewith their service. They were friendly, got the job done quickly and professionally. A few things really stood out to me: 1. They provided a quote with their response. I contacted a few different junk removal services I found via Yelp to see if they could remove my couch (surprisingly, the only company that never even bothered responding to me is the company that was ranked #1 in the area and had a ton of glowing reviews--and I both called AND e-mailed them). Omar responded to me within hours and provided a shockingly reasonable quote in his response. He also offered to come by the following day. I had already made an appointment with another company, but that company would not provide a quote without coming by first and had already cancelled on me once. I knew I was not going to get a better price than the one I received from Omar, so I decided to cancel with the other company and do business with Fins Up instead. 2. Punctuality. They showed up exactly when they said they would. That NEVER happens in Miami. 3. They did not stray from their quote. I had described the couch as a four-piece sectional, but I don't think they were expecting it to be quite as large as it was. The pieces were too large to fit in my building's elevator and needed to be carried down a flight of stairs, so that made its removal much more difficult. Regardless, when I asked Omar how much I owed him, he responded with the quote he initially gave me. He could have responded, "Well, I know I quoted you this, but...", but he didn't. I really appreciated that. They are a family-owned business and told me they have encountered so many people who have been grossly overcharged by other junk removal companies. That's not Fin's Up's game. I can tell. 4. There was no language barrier. I don't mind if a service provider doesn't speak perfect English. I've lived in Miami for 10 years and still speak zero Spanish, so who am I to judge? But when a service provider shows up at my house speaking ZERO English, it makes everyone's job a lot harder. The quote I received from him was literally three times less than the previous I received from another local company. I couldn't be happier with the work he did and how quickly it was done-- plus he even took pictures before and after to share with me as I was not even on site when he was there to ensure that the job was done.
