Very friendly people, and I want to give 4 stars for their efforts at trying to make my experience better, but I have to be honest. I called ahead to book my massage for later that evening for 60 minutes. I arrived a tad bit early, and they were happy to start right away. I actually extended my massage to 90 minutes when I stepped in, as I realized I had a little more time til my dinner reservation. They asked for payment ahead of time, so I paid $90 for the 90 min massage and told them I would tip later. In the first few minutes of my massage, I asked the masseuse to use more pressure. She said okay, but kept going at the same pressure, so I asked again. This time, she told me she doesn't speak English. I gestured more pressure, and she seemed to understand, but then kept going at the same pressure... So I gave up at that point. About 15 minutes later, she walks out of the room without saying anything, and I hear someone walk back into the massage room. I noticed that the pressure and massage technique were different, so I figured they had switched masseuses. I thought it was weird that there was no explanation for this, but I asked for deeper pressure. This masseuse understood and applied more pressure, which I appreciated. About 20 more minutes, and then she walks out again. This time, two ladies walk in, and they explain to me that the second masseuse was pregnant and didn't feel that she could give enough pressure. This third masseuse was the best out of the three. They offered to add an extra 15 minutes to my massage, but I didn't have time for that before dinner.. So they added ~8 more minutes to my massage. So I had about an hour with this masseuse, and I enjoyed this hour... But I wish we had started with this massuse. I assume she was busy with another massage when I started mine... I tipped a little over 20% for their time, but ... honestly, I'm not sure I would return. I do appreciate their efforts to make things right for me, though. read more

Previously 5 stars. I've been coming here for about 3 years, once a month for a deep tissue massage - the last several months to see Tina. I was told today that she left, which is extremely disappointing because she was amazing and could get the knots out of my neck. Today's 90 min deep tissue massage was awful. She only massaged one leg, did not go deep at all anywhere, and rough when turning my head. It was obvious she was already very tired before she started my massage. When I was checking out the (new?) manager was yelling at my therapist to get to another room to start a massage. It was sad and uncomfortable to watch. No goodbye or ask to reschedule also kept my punch card. Unsure if I'll be back any time soon. read more

After several wonderful massages with Daisy, I had the worst massage ever with Wendy. Less than an hour into a 90 minute massage, after asking over and over and over for her to vary the pressure and movements, I had to yell "STOP TOUCHING ME!" The business manager (?) only reacted with, "she's always very good." No, not always. And the response on my Google review was that I just needed to ask. I did, many times. So glad to leave and, as long as they blame it on me, I will NEVER go back. Note: the earlier review didn't show in my history, so this is redundant, but still annoys me. My fellow Yelp Eliters really let me down on this one... It could be that I just had a bad massuese but man, was my massage bad. While the place was clean, the music was ambient and appropriate, the massage itself was truly, really bad. I have had a membership to Hand and Stone for years now and heard/read a place like this may be a more affordable option. While it was barely cheaper than my typical members price-- it was less than worth it. I got the one hour "hot oil" massage for 45$. While it was certainly an hour, it did not include hot oil nor a professionally trained therapist. I understand she was a small woman but she consistently climbed onto the table to do her work which is just ridiculous! You don't climb on the table like a monkey in front of clients. I have never had a therapist do this. Additionally, she used her forearm and absent minded squishing ( like you'd get at a nail salon) for 99% of the massage. And the " hot oil" was neither heated nor oil but instead NIVEA FROM WALGREENS! I'm seriously astounded at this fact and should have asked for my money back.... Instead I'll just take it as lessons learned. I literally have never once said this but please folks, don't waste your hard earned money here. Lastly, there was a sign that read " not responsible for lost or stolen items, including jewelry" to me, this reads "Our staff may steal your jewels but we won't be held accountable." What kind of place that isn't like, chucky cheese or something like that actually says they won't be mindful of tour personal items and to bring them at your own risk? This is a safe space for relaxation and therapy and jewel theft or any kind of loss of personal item is the LAST thing anyone should have to worry about. read more

First off I appreciate them getting us in on Valentine's Day since every other place was booked months in advance. Sorry I didn't take a picture of the actual massage room but it was very ambient, relaxing, and warm. My husband and I did a couples massage his masseuse was wonderful and mine was absolutely terrible. This was actually one of the worse massages I have every received I was crying when the massage was done. I felt like I had been beaten to a pulp. Yes all of my knots were taken out, but not in a relaxing way it was very painful. We had asked him to lighten up twice and he was even arguing with the other masseuse about how I wanted lighter pressure. This is a different kind of massage, not a traditional massage sort to speak; but it was still nice to be able to go and relax (mostly my husband). To say the least we will not be going back just because I had a terrible experience, but I'm glad for the price we paid at least one of us enjoyed our massage. We did explain to the woman before we left that my masseuse was too rough with me and she did look a little concerned so that was much appreciated. read more

This place was completely unsanitary. The massage was good, but didn't feel comfortable in the equipment/treatment table, but being SO cheap.i went along with most of it. I didn't put on the dirty looking eye night mask thing. I insisted I would just close my eyes. Having worked in a spa and knowing DORAs (Department of Regulatory Agencies) sanitary regulations, they were not being followed. I left with a light pink spot on my face from where it was in the (outdated) face cradle. Over the course of a couple hours it had turned red. Being an esthetician, I knew this wasn't a zit. After about four months and multiple chemical exfoliations/peels that spot finally went away, but think I actually might've gotten a bacterial infection but killed it off with all the acid and antioxidant properties I put on it. I look at their ratings on Groupon and noticed a trend. They have a stock response to all comments playing victim. read more

Not only is sunshine massage both during the time that we would like, but they moved some things around, and they assigned an expert therapeutic massage therapist for me and my feet and ankles. It was amazing, and when he discovered a spot on my ankles that would not respond to massage, he performed reiki, and it was much better. The place was super-clean, the front desk super-nice, and the session was out of this world, put me in la-la land, and I left all loose and mashed and "humpty dumpty put back together again." I am reading some of the negative reviews about cleanlinness and it's like they are aren't even talking about the same business I went to last night, so maybe they've cleaned it up since then. Also, a poster complained about the therapist climbing up on the table like it was some weird move, but I've had massages all over the world, in NYC and Los Angeles, and I actually love when a tiny masseuse climbs on the table if it allows her to really dig in - but there is nothing odd about it, the man just never had it done before, I reckon. I found the best deal on Groupon to do a 60-minute hot stone massage here. It was perfect for the cold winter months. I've been meaning to come back for a hot oil one. I've had some pretty upscale massages at fancy hotels, so it wouldn't be fair to compare the location and interior. But hey, you're here to relax, right? The rooms are dim enough, and the beds are made to just the right comfort level to get you to close your eyes and forget where you really are. I have a soft spot for local businesses, especially Chinese ones, so coming here and paying for a massage experience similar to a Massage Envy one makes me feel that much better. My only regret was not bringing cash to tip. They accept credit cards at a $1 fee, but I know it is never ideal for a small business. read more

I know it doesn't look like much but WOW. This place was amazing. I paid 55 before tip for a 60min massage and it was actually a FULL hour and few minutes of a massage. Most places typically cut you out of up to 10minutes at times so that was super nice. She really knew what she was doing as well. I didn't have to really tell her what was sore or hurting because she seemed to know and focus on the area. My back and shoulders where so sore from this past weekend when I kept having sezuires so it was all intense tight and she managed to get it all nearly out. Today my daughter and I were in for a 1:00 massage. She loved her massage therapist but my massage wasn't good and my body is hurting more now than it did before I went. I don't like to complain but here's what I experienced. 1. I was there early but still we got a late start. She soaked my feet for 5 min, didn't do any foot rub at all and then said I would be more comfortable on the table. (then she did rub them) That was ok. But it was 1:10 by the time she actually started my foot massage. 2. She kept rubbing the same place on one side of my back until I asked her to stop because she did that side extremely long and it wasn't getting the muscle, wasn't feeling good. Actually hurt. 3. She didn't get my lower back, glutes or neck/shoulders very well and that's where I needed it. 4. When she said she was done, she hadn't even done my arms or hands. I asked her to do them and she rubbed my arms for only about 2 min each. She was finished by 2 but she should've gone at least another 5 minutes since she started late and left the room several times to get things during the massage. When I complained later in an email, the manager said that she'd give me a $30 credit on my next massage. I told her I'd rather have the money, I do not want another massage here. I left more soar and stressed than I was to begin with! That spot on my back hurt for over a week! The therapists name is Kelly. I would not recommend this place. read more

But when I was done after a 90 minute massage for $90 (however they really charged me $91 on my debit card) the worker demanded $25 tip which is close to 28%. I was always under the understanding the tipping rate is between 15 and 20% and not required 28%. Sure it's up to the consumer if they want to give less or more, but from my experience, this place for $90 massage they demand a $25 tip. We ended up upgrading to a full body massage, I regretted upgrading. The massage was no different then a foot massage. The only difference was that they spent almost no time on our feet and hands and you are able to undress and lay down like a normal massage. They are fantastic! Every technician is highly skilled and incredibly professional. Their prices are low, but the quality is high. They actually listen when you talk to them.
