It worked well for me using the GoTuscon Transit app to buy tickets. I explored 4th Avenue and found my way to the Convention Center and other gem show shuttle hubs from stops on the streetcar line. Very clean, often with fare enforcers who will scan your ticket. I don't give it more than 4 stars because when there aren't fare enforcers on the streetcar it is not clear how to scan ticket from the app. Overall very user friendly public transportation. For the gem show I parked near University Blvd & 6th, unrestricted street parking, walking a few blocks to board at the stop near Epic Cafe.

That's fine, but you'd think the ticket kiosk would at least allow folks to purchase one way tickets, monthly passes, etc. nope! Just a full day passes are Available. I love the idea that the SunLink connects locals to five districts: Mercado, Downtown, 4th Avenue, Main Gate Square & UOfA. After trying to use the Tucson "Modern" Streetcar since its debut, I've concluded that he hours of operation need improvement. Additionally, they don't make it easy to buy a ticket. The machines regularly run out of tickets, or they give you tickets that don't work. This often leads to an embarrassing exchange with the Fare Enforcements officers. To make matters worse, loading them online is even more complicated. Sure.... I'll Drive east to Alvernon to a Frys supermarket to buy a pass. Yep.....That makes a whole lot of sense.

Kasey was extremely welcoming and friendly and made a great first impression. While unpacking and exploring the inn, my daughter and I met another employee named Amy, an older woman who seemed off-putting from the start. As time went on, Amy's behavior became increasingly inappropriate and uncomfortable. Amy repeatedly overshared personal information and made several troubling comments. Amy told us that she was a witch and a pagan and described how she disliked a coworker named Shay (whom Amy referred to as "they/them") so much that Amy took a photo of Shay, burned it, and froze it in order to "freeze them away." Amy spoke negatively about Shay, claiming Shay locked Amy out of the office, was passive-aggressive, and was trying to make Amy quit. Amy also made disparaging remarks about the owners of the inn, referring to them as "Bible thumpers," and then commented that my daughter and I did not seem like that type of people. Amy went on to share extremely personal and inappropriate details about her life, including graphic stories about her ex-husband cheating on her with prostitutes, her chronic back pain, and other topics that guests should not be subjected to. Amy told us that she had once been pulled over and attempted to avoid a ticket by telling the police officer that she was having a miscarriage. Amy also stated that she was a 1099 employee and that the owner does not pay insurance or taxes for employees and refuses to fire people. Amy behaved very dramatically at times, including expressing concern that an elderly man who appeared healthy was having a medical emergency when he was simply bending over and stretching. Amy frequently complained about coworkers, including saying that Kasey had made the breakfast casserole incorrectly the night before, then later telling my daughter that Amy herself had made it and that it was good. Amy also incorrectly accused me of using the espresso machine improperly and placing the pod in incorrectly, when Amy was the one who had inserted it incorrectly. The inn itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the history behind it is amazing. I truly would love to stay again, but after how wildly uncomfortable Amy made both me and my daughter, I am unsure how comfortable I would feel returning with amy being there.

Rather than selecting your own departure time, Groome assigns you a departure time based on your flight departure, allowing for plenty of extra buffer time. If you're the type of person that does not like to spend any extra time waiting for a ride or in the airport, Groome may not be the best for you as they dropped me a good two hours in advance of my flight departure. That being said, if you like having a chance to visit the airport lounge or grab a bite to eat at the terminal, Groome could be perfect for you. I arrived to the pick up spot about 10 minutes before my scheduled departure time and ended up waiting until about 15 minutes or so after the scheduled time. They do have a primitive trailer with air conditioning to escape the Arizona heat. Take note that they have multiple rides every single day so the van already at the pick up spot may not be your ride. Be sure to check with the driver before getting in. When the van finally arrived, they checked everyone in and made sure to do a final head count before departing. The van itself was fairly spacious and comfortable. About an hour and a half later, we were at the airport! Overall, no complaints. I would do this again.

They are incredibly punctual - our driver on the return trip waited until the exact second they were supposed to depart the terminals. I have had one case where we returned late, but that was because there was a serious accident on I-10 and the driver had no choice but to take a detour around Casa Grande. Most of the drivers have been exceedingly friendly and polite, but I've had one or two that have been a bit "gruff", hence the 4-star rating. If you take a shuttle between PHX and TUS you will likely save time and money over taking a short flight, but that stretch of I-10 can have brutal traffic issues. Delays can happen.
