WARNING to all incoming students to Cortland SUNY at Cortland, NY. If you are coming to stay at any of Cortland dorms and have problems with roommates you will not be helped! The RA's and Dorm Directors and well as Student Conduct officials will not help nor care enough to resolve and issuea you may have with your roommates. Cortland does not care about your mental stage or if you are suffering with your living condition. They only care about the money that is collected from over capacity students tuition. I along with many other parents had to pull our kids from Cortland SUNY because of the great lack of care for students problems with roommates they can not live with. your better off going to another SUNY college that cares and show they will resolve any issues pertaining to living in dorms with roommates problem. living nightmare parent to a student broken dreams. I went here for one semester and it was a terrible choice. I had to get out as fast as I could. Everyone in the financial aid office is extremely rude to me. This schools registration process for new students is ridiculous and there is never enough classes left for new students to register for. They also accept way too many students and then run out of parking passes and even if you buy a parking pass you will not be able to find parking. I had to leave my car at my work somedays and take a taxi to my classroom because of the lack of parking spots and the distance between the parking lots and the classrooms is so unreasonable it was making me late to class and interfering with my studies. When I had reached out to parking management and admissions about the parking issues, they basically told me to suck it up. I was spending roughly $100 per month on parking at this school between the pay per hour lot, my parking pass and taxis. I don't recommend SUNY Cortland to anyone. read more

My daughter will be a graduate for 2020. Although the ceremony has been suspended due to COVID-19, she had a amazing 4 years academically and recreationally. She loved all her professors and most of all her swim team coach Tobin along with the assistant coaches. Cortland is a great little town that needs some TLC but for the most part is safe and very friendly. read more

I got a great education here at a reasonable cost. My professors were, on the whole, excellent. I attended college thankfully before the PC explosion started. I am so happy I attended SUNY Cortland. read more

We went here to experience Jets Spring Training. It was really fun! $5 parking, and then you can see as much of the practice as you want. There is also a really great kids play area with bouncy house style shenanigans for the kiddos. Overall, a fun time! Not sure about the actual college, but I have a cousin who went here and loved it! read more
