I told him I would NOT pay extra per ADA guidelines. When I left for the day he decided on his own to check me out and charge my card for the full 4 days and now will not let me stay in my room. And has refused to refund the unused days. This type of treatment is uncalled for and has cost me well over $450. This place is a rip off and run by a scam artist to say the least.

Go to any other town, and make the drive to Creston if you have to be there for whatever reason. Anywhere is better than this hotel. We travel a lot, like across the nation. And have stayed in some pretty sketchy areas because the hotels were limited. NEVER have I been treated as poorly as I have at this hotel. Because of our experience I will only stay in bigger cities that have national hotel chains like Hilton, Marriott, La Quinta. Places that are recognized for their customer service and accommodations.

I stayed here for 3 nights in a big group for a funeral…read more The good: there are handicap equipped rooms on the lower floor for an elderly relative and as my sister said "well, nothing awful happened and there was no medical waste lying around." There is a fitness room. The bad: The place has a distinctly musty smell, especially in the rooms. The hotel locks the outer doors every night and halfway through our stay everyone got locked out and had to go to the main office in another building to get the keys fixed. We found garbage from a previous guest under our bed. Some rooms had flat screen tvs but some had much older, grainy tvs. There are no mats in the fitness room. Cleaning service took all our cups away and didn't replace them. The free breakfast is served entirely on styrofoam (admittedly, this seems to be "how they do things here" but it still baffles me that the Midwest can be a good 15 years behind the ecology movement. Free wifi works only sometimes. The price, $75 a night for a room with 2 queen beds, is neutral, but maybe high when you consider the location? Not sure. So, 2 stars. As my sister said, nothing horrible happened, but I would look elsewhere if staying in Creston again.

Changed rooms and immediately noticed all the work trucks in the parking lot. Apparently workers were staying in the hotel, which could be heard all night as they drank beer ( and left all the bottles and cans by the doors) cigarette butts everywhere! the 2nd night i was bitten horribly all over my body. We checked out and I notified the clerk that we needed to cancel our 3rd night and there were bed bugs in the room. She said "that happens". I called the general manager to report the bugs and said there were no bugs in his hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. For the $85/night it is run down and has bugs!

The hallways were filled with it and in our room it was even worse. Luckily the window opened. So we opened the window and ran the bathroom fan while we went for dinner.
