They helped me find several fun things to do in Red Oak and the cities surrounding it. I definitely loved their helpfulness. Lobby/entrance: The lobby is a decent size lobby with plenty of places to sit at. I always love when a hotel has a porta cochère and this hotel has one! Breakfast area: So a continental breakfast is included with your stay. It's a very minimal breakfast. If it doesn't fill you up you can go to the restaurant they have on site or to the McDonald's right down the street. Rooms: The rooms are very large and spacious for a standard type room! I really enjoyed the extra space. Parking: It's free and they have a very large parking lot! Downfalls: 1. There was never anyone standing at the front desk. Whenever I needed someone I had to push a doorbell to get someone to come out from the back. I felt like I was disturbing them whenever I pushed that button. 2. Yes the rooms were huge but the bathrooms were very small. If I had a bathroom that was 1 foot bigger then it would be perfect. 3. Booking this hotel can only be done by calling. Yes I understand this is a small town and not a lot of tourist come to red oak. However it would have been nice if you allowed online bookings on either your website or through Expedia. When I was looking for a hotel to stay at your hotel didn't immediately pop up. I booked your hotel after I talked to my friends and we all agreed to stay there. Overall it's a good hotel and if I'm in red oak I will stay here again.

Called and Roger was able to accommodate us for our anniversary dinner at the last minute. There was one other patron, a regular, who was super fun to talk and share some stories with. He stated that Roger had the best steak ever, but he was out of them for the evening so we intend to come back and give it a try another time. Our chicken Alfredo and baked salmon were fantastic. We honestly could not recommend a better experience and were so glad we chose to take a chance and not go to the steakhouse 20 miles down the road as recommended by our hostess. Seating near the pool is great for those not looking to swim. There is even an small outdoor area. The complimentary breakfast offered by this hotel is great. I could tell it was very well managed and staff enjoyed talking to guests. Honestly, it's so good that it makes the breakfast options at even more expensive Kansas City hotels look very poor. The rooms were clean and while not needed, it was great to see the accessibility options the hotel has in tub shower (even non-handicap rooms). The complimentary fridge, safe, and closet were nice amenities. My wife booked this stay and I'll admit, at first I thought I had some better options in town -- but this stay was a very pleasant surprise. I plan to stay here from now on when I visit. Bagels, English muffin, different kinds of bread available. There is a pancake machine but I didn't like that as much. Warm cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon and sausage also available. Milk, juice, coffee and water for drinks. All for free. Staff is attentive to make sure nothing runs out. Lots of places to sit and enjoy breakfast. Rooms are clean. TV is a good size and uses Direct TV so lots of channel options, including HBO. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Pillows are king size with firm and soft options. Fitness center is really small and usually quite warm but it does the job. I found a nice country road to run, just past the Kawasaki plant, which I prefer instead.

You get the idea. But clean and under 50 bucks. I will not stay there again however. The smell alone. Smoke and mold. I should've slept in my car. But it was after midnight and I needed a shower. The very very cheapest thin small old towels , pillows and toiletries. The carpet is disgusting. Look at this picture of the carpet near the bathroom. Now all my clothes even smell like smoke! And the price went up.

Owner was there partying with the next room over. To each their own but when I have to get up and work early they should keep it down and they didn't care. Beware of staying here. Yes it's the cheapest place in town but you get what you pay for here. I stay in hotels 10 months out of the year so I have stayed in a lot of good and bad ones and this one is the worst I have stayed in. BEWARE
