This place was horrendous...Stains on every sheet and pillow, which we took to the front desk to show them. After we re-made both beds, we took a look at the blanket and dust ruffles...both had stains and body fluids... Then the bathroom...Absolutely disgusting...Moldy shower, so bad we couldn't even shower...The fan was so dusty, it was clear that it hasn't been cleaned in forever! Wouldn't even get to stay for breakfast, because if the room was that disgusting, how bad could the kitchen be...??? DO NOT STAY HERE!! This was the worst experience I ever had. I was so tired that when I got to the hotel, I sat down and fell asleep in the middle of the night I got up, got undressed and laid down without checking the bed as I normally do I woke up with multiple bites on my back and shoulders. Once I confirmed that nothing was in my bags and took a shower I took the bedbug to the front counter was told there was nothing he could do and he also couldn't give me a receipt because I checked in with CLC. All the other hotels in the area this was the only place that showed up on my CLC app. I will stop miles before or after I will never go to this hotel again. I promise you it's not worth it. Hey all, just putting this comment out there to save you guys time and money. Came into town for work, and unlike all the other hotels within its proximity, you'll see that the parking lot is pretty empty. Which, for a burnt out person that works on the road, you just want a room to pass out. Anyway, I change and go for a run, come back and not 10 minutes of me sitting on the bed doom scrolling through instagram, a fat bed bug is making its way towards me. And I don't know if you guys have experience with bed bugs, but they are a the biggest pain in the world to actually get rid of. In fact, can cost hundreds of dollars to do so in lieu of the psychological strife after having experienced them (I still wake up itchy years later with nothing there). Anyway, I saved the little guy to give to the front desk, they offered me another room which still showed signs of their presence, all to not be reimbursed. So, just stay away. Smells like Marijuana as soon as you walk in. Rude Staff and the General Manager is extremely careless about anyone that walks in. I walked out do the Router being offline. New Stanton and the Southern Side of Westmoreland County has issues with power outages sometimes. Discontinued staying after so while packing up my bags and leaving for the HOTEL NEXT DOOR! I was pleasantly surprised by the Super 8 in New Stanton. I only paid $60 for my room but it was worth every penny. The customer service was great. The woman who helped me at the front desk was kind and attentive. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I had everything I needed. Highly recommend! read more

I'm a firm believer in the saying "you get what you pay for" - - well, we got what we paid for. Two beds, a bathroom, an awkwardly congested lobby, complimentary breakfast (cereals, muffins, juice, etc.), and a somewhat challenging hunt to find the hotel. If you're looking for frills, I recommend upping your beer budget. But, if you're looking for a clean place to stay for the night, go for it. I prefer smaller, family-operated motels if I'm working with a smaller budget, but my options were limited in the Greensburg area. *Side note: I'm feeling John B's thoughts on road trip accommodations. read more

Beware! Do not stay at this motel. Stayed here one night as a last resort because other hotels in the area were all sold out and woke up to a bed bug crawling in the bed. Called the front desk immediately and a few minutes later came in 2 woman and 1 extremely rude man who proceeded to shove me away when I was trying to show him where I saw it. Good, solid what you see is what you get place to stay. We chose this hotel because it is halfway between Indianapolis and the New York area. They were perfectly happy to check us in at 3 in the morning, no muss, no fuss. Breakfast is pretty minimal, and mostly carbs. No surprise there. The coffee was drinkable. Getting on and off the highway is a matter of a few minutes. The room was clean, relatively inexpensive, spacious enough and quiet. We wanted a place to get a few hours sleep before continuing down the road, and this fit the bill. read more

We've been here for over a week, with another week to go, I'm happy to say that our room was very clean. No bugs, no stink and the housekeepers come by daily and offer to clean the room. The only sounds we've heard are coming from our own children. And the smoke smell only lingers right outside of the smoking rooms. We are vegans, and were happy to find oatmeal and fruit served in the breakfast area that we could eat. The Staff are very nice, and the hotel is located on a little dead end road, which is nice for walking with the children. The BEST thing about this place is the PRICE! It's just as cheap as the nasty old Super 8's, but without the nasty. I'm a happy lady :) The only complaint I have is that the tub drains very slowly, which makes it hold the soap scum. yucky....Good thing they come by and clean it daily! read more

While I was traveling my daughter booked me a room at the Super 8 in New Stanton PA. She used her credit card to hold the room for me. When I arrived at the hotel I gave them MY card to pay for the room. I've been home for a week now come to find out that Super 8 charged my daughters card as well as my card. I called to find out how or why this happened and the receptionist answered as after we explained to her she passed us to the manager Loraine. We asked if the receptionist passed on any information already given and almost instantly Loraine was ignorant. As I continue to explain again the situation Loraine just about yelled through the phone that it isn't there problem. After we got off the phone we sit down to figure out ourselves before calling corporate. But after being talked to the way Loraine talked to us, I know that I would never recommend anyone to stay at the Super 8 in New Stanton, PA. I don't under how you can speak to customers they way she did. read more

If you want no frills, this is it. It advertised free breakfast, but the only thing that that put out was coffee, a few prepackaged Danish and juice. All we want was juice and fruits. On both mornings, they were out of fruits except for one banana and an apple which we had to ask for. Another customer customer that was there also asked for vanilla cream, which ofcourse they're out also. We stayed here 2 nights because they were affiliated with Wyndham. Since Wyndham has a good reputation for service, we decided to give this place a try. We definitely will not stay at this super8 location again. read more

Business road trip booked via second party. I've seen worse but I've seen a lot better also. The 100% smoke free facility strangely had the odor of stale cigarette smoke in my room. The floors aren't overly insulated as I could hear the person above me pacing from 3:00 a.m. on. The free breakfast is cold cereal and toast or yogurt and cold rubbery egg things. The location is convenient if you're going up the Turnpike and need a place to lay your head. Besides the odor, my room was clean and the AC worked great. read more

If I could rate this zero stars I would, they have by far the worst Customer service I have experienced in all of the United States, all they care about is taking your money and not even helping you, I went in one night trying to get a room, they told me that I could get the room cheaper if I make an online reservation, so I did, turns out since it was late, the reservation was made for later that day, so you couldn't even check in, and since I just needed a place to sleep, I wasn't planning to stay in the area so I wouldn't be using the room and needed to cancel it, but instead of making an easy cancellation they instead said that there was a 24 hour prior policy, I tried to explain that I wouldn't be able to check in and just wanted my money back but they just stated it was policy, so I tried to change the day of my reservation, and the front desk lady said it was possible, and Priceline tried to change it but needed to wait for the manager to come in at 6am, it was about 4:30 at this point so I decided to wait. I leave to look for a place that could house me and end up calling the front desk to ask the price of their rooms again, turns out they wouldn't even let me check in that night even if I paid for a room cause check in was later that day, a fact they failed to mention when your trying to reserve a room. At 6am manager comes in and I try to plea my case with her but she then says that changing reservations was not possible, which doesn't make sense cause it's possible at every hotel, they didn't offer to help or try to give me points or anything and instead told me to get off their property. I am never coming back to this place again, and I warn anyone coming here to go to all the other hotels in the area which are much cheaper and will allow read more

By far the only super 8 hotel that is as high quality, clean, and friendly as a high end 5 star hotel. I've stayed at plenty of super 8s and they have earned their reputation of dirty and cheap. The room was clean and had good lighting. There was a mini fridge and microwave. There was no carafe for the coffee pot. The water never got very hot, but the bathroom was clean. When I'm on a road trip I always stop at the "plain jane" franchise motels. All I want is a clean quiet place, where I can get a long hot shower and a good night sleep. A reliable internet connection so I can check my email and tomorrow's weather on my route ahead is also nice. This place met all of those requirements. I strolled in about 8:00pm last Wednesday with no reservation. I asked for a non-smoking room on the first floor, as close to the front entrance as possible (to effect a quick get away in the morning), The very friendly desk clerk was happy to accommodate those requests. Check in was was very efficient, and I was in my room within five minutes of walking through the door. Check out was equally efficient - and the clerk even let me fill my travel mug from his private pot in the office because the lobby coffee wasn't quite ready. If a "free" breakfast is part of your deal, don't bother with this place. It was sliced bread, grocery store bagels, cellophane wrapped danish, and cold cereal. But, there is a Bob Evans Restaurant right across the street. I didn't visit it, but as I was leaving at 5:30am it was open and had several customers inside. As an extra added attraction, this place is just around the corner from a big travel center with many gas pumps, and a large well stocked convenience store. read more

I felt like I should write a review just to offset the really bad comments. I got a room here via Priceline for two nights for a sports tournament. I don't need anything exquisite, just a basic hotel. Several days prior, I called to confirm the reservation and the lady who answered was friendly. The front desk attendant was friendly and attentive. I got in late, and he was on top of his check-in list, because he knew I wasn't here yet and was wondering if I was showing up. I got signed in and into the room without hassle. The room was clean, no odors. Bathroom looked fine and is roomy enough, it isn't like being in a cramped phone booth, like some other hotels. Bed was clean. Air conditioner works just fine! Wifi works, I don't really watch anything on TV. Totally happy with what I got. Can't complain, and if you're looking for a simple, basic hotel room, I would recommend it. If my travels bring me back here, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. So, they don't have an elevator. That's worth knowing, at least, but they seem to have a share of rooms on the ground floor. read more

The rate was good, the "suite" was spacious if not actually a suite (they warned us ahead of time). It was also quiet. However, the sofa bed, which is part of why we got the room, was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever seen in my life. Just touching it practically hurt my hand, and my kids (5 and 8) wanted to sleep on the floor rather than on it. The springs on both sides were all you could feel. Definitely a disappointment. Also there were some bugs, that were I think crawling out of the sink. They kept mysteriously appearing in the bathroom. So... all in all... won't be staying there again. read more
