This facility is filthy. It is beyond non-sanitary. I checked out within an hour even after a room change in case it was just overlooked. Owner refused to refund or cancel my 3 night reservation. The smell was awful. The best word I can use to describe is GROSS!

    Bathroom mold and dust.

The lobby looked so elegant and impressive. Seemed like the nicest Super 8 I had ever seen--until we got into the room. It was filthy--thick layers of dust on the headboards and on the hairdryer. Mold on the bathroom ceiling and around the bathtub. Wyndham Corporate needs to do an inspection of this place and get it into shape to meet their standards.

Overall it was fine, but we were excited about the pool and were very let down it was green. If you have kids I don't recommend this, it smelled like weed the whole time. If all your looking for is a place to sleep then it works. But definitely

    Raining above the bed...

Just returned from 2 night stay for Ole Miss football game. Wow, what a dump. I can confirm the long list of disgusting details from the reviews below - the place is actually even worse than the reviews indicate. The clincher for me was that at some point on Saturday night, as I was sleeping, water began leaking from the ceiling above the bed and onto me - a steady stream, more than a drip (photo attached). When I told the front desk person on Sun morning and requested some sort of reasonable refund she dismissed me and said I needed to call back and talk to Jack on Monday. I said ok...and suggested she send someone to room 114 since they have a major problem. Spoke to Jack today, he was unaware of any water leak and the front desk gal had not mentioned it. He was completely combative and said that he went and checked the room and didnt see anything - and that I "probably made it up" to get a refund. A shocking reaction. The place is full of rude, angry, and lazy people. Never again.

The mirror is held on by screws. Super safe.

We first started staying here when our daughter enrolled at Ole Miss, and it was great. Nothing fancy, but always clean, and the staff was friendly. The last few times, it's definitely been a "you get what you pay for" situation. This time, it wasn't even that. Dirty towels, one had a hole in it, the room wasn't totally clean, and the bed! Great googly moogly, the bed! The mattress was so flat it was like sleeping on a prison cot. One side had a deep dip in it, as if some giant had been sleeping there for about 20 years. When we went to check out this morning, no employees in sight. Apparently, they hadn't been at the desk for a hot minute, because three other people ahead of me had just slid their key cards under the window. Thank goodness our girl graduated this year. We'll be looking for somewhere else to stay next time we visit Oxford, MS.

    Bed bugs.

Nothing better when checking into your room than stepping over the pile of empty beer cans in the breeze way while wandering through a haze of pot smoke billowing out of the room just down the way (with the door wide open). Hey, if that's your scene, this is your place. Otherwise, just spend the extra quid and stay somewhere better. I will say the front desk staff seemed really friendly, but deck chairs meet Titanic. Edit to add - Found bed bugs too! Yay! Edit to add more - And they found me. Currently I am covered in welts. I had to throw away my luggage, eat up four hours of a business trip in a laundromat, and find a dry cleaners short notice. So my trying to save a couple of bucks ended up costing me a couple of hundred, plus I was stupid enough to book through Priceline. Super 8 offered me not one red penny for any of this. The person working the desk was so fearful of the bedbug I brought in as evidence she pleaded that I take it away, but then only offered to switch for me. I simply looked at her and asked, "Would you seriously stay here one more night?" There went another $150 down the drain. Judging from what the cleaning staff's reaction and insistence that I make it clear to the front desk what was going on, there seems a bad track record at the place of thorough handling of this. This IS NOT something you want to deal with as a traveler, yet I am not sure they are dealing with it as proprietors with the seriousness needed. Just stay somewhere else. It is a massive pain in the butt trying to disinfect everything, it will cost you money, and you get to spend three weeks after you get home holding your breath that one still didn't somehow ending up coming home with you. I'd stay in Batesville and drive into Oxford before I stayed at this dump.

    This is absolutely disgusting!!!

As you can tell by the photos that I attached with this location this place gives zero 'effs' on cleanliness, appearance or general up keep. I have stayed in hotels where I spent half the amount and at least there wasn't a fear of Mersa or Staff infection. A towel covered in old blood, food stuck to the walls, pubic hair on the toilet seat, mold on the shower curtain. Come on guys this is hotel 101. I seriously skipped shaving my legs in the shower for fear if I nicked myself I might contract some horrible bacteria. Obviously this place has no sense of pride or any kind of standards. Wyndham should be ashamed to put their name on the door of this place. Do not stay here at all costs. It is certainly not worth the health risk.

Not fancy at all. Older place for sure. Like your back in 80's. Had to wait over five minutes before front desk clerk showed up and it was 11 pm. If you can't find anywhere else this will do but should not be first choice. Very pricey.

The spider living in the bathroom. I let him be so he could help me kill the bugs in this room.

First off - the location as it relates to the square and the campus cannot be beat. You walk out the front door and you're essentially on the square. We were there on a weekend and the parking was a little chaotic and left few if any spots - which was frustrating - but that is accurate of Oxford almost anywhere on a weekend (traffic, parking). The parking lot is safe and I felt fine leaving my vehicle there. Parking is $15/day. The staff is top notch. I was greeted by all staff and they were professional, friendly, and accommodating. You should feel like a "guest" at a hotel, and they accomplish that. The lobby is very welcoming and a nice place to hang out - whether you're people watching, drinking coffee, or working. Lots of tables, chairs, outlets, etc. They have a coffee shop/bistro downstairs, as well as a rooftop restaurant/bar upstairs. We patronized both and they were both good - especially by hotel standards. Our room was both "boutique'y" and modern, which I liked. All the room amenities you'd want and expect. I guess if I had to offer a downside for the room - they did not offer online/streaming tv, just cable, but that is getting pretty nit-picky and we weren't in our room that much to need it. The prices of this hotel (and essentially all in Oxford) fluctuate drastically depending on the day/weekend. On a high volume weekend I suspect this hotel would be incredibly expensive. All in all - I would most definitely stay here every time I was in Oxford (assuming I could afford it). Cheers.

For a nice hotel I was incredibly dissappointed with the bath linens. Towels and a bath mat that you would find from the cheapest budget hotel ever, truly awful. Bed was very, very soft, comfy but not supportive. TV? No instructions, no piece of paper in a nightstand or anywhere, called the front desk, the young man was super pleasant but had no idea of how to operate the TV. There is no info anywhere as to when and where you can get coffee (turns out it's hidden in a corner on the first floor), no information other than a plastic frame advertising the restaurant and upper bar with no hours, no menu,,, you get it. The young man kindly offered to have maintenance come to the room to show me how to operate the TV - no way, already showered and in pjs, and did not want someone coming in to mansplain to me how to operate a TV!!!!!!! TV is ancient, poor remote that is not hardly working. This is not a comfortable hotel, it feels cheap, they took the 'graduate thing way too far, there's no where to get a bottled water or complimentary coffee, no fruit anywhere (even the cheapest hotels offer a basket of apples or something), and for a hotel with their price? DO BETTER. This is a self park, bring in your own luggage, uncomfortable overpriced hotel. All of the seating in the lobby is overtaken by students who allowed to study at the hotel. It looks messy, stuff all over the place, no where to sit FOR A HOTEL GUEST!

Needs a refresh, for sure. Removing the carpet and putting down new floors would give some life into this room! More lighting would help as well. The bathroom is old and in much need of an overhaul!! Water pressure was almost non-existent. It felt like I was showering with just a trickle of water. But, still grateful I had one to use after a long day of moving boxes and furniture. I would definitely stay here again. I just now know to expect mediocre rooms. The pictures on the website make the rooms look much bigger, brighter, and newer. The lobby is beautiful and the outside of the building is beautiful as well. Had my dog with me and found that the app said $50 for a pet. Sold. Got to the hotel, card charged $293 while checking in. I went on with my business and went to my room. Room was old and dilapidated, everything was from the 2000"s probably the last time the hotel was renovated. Carpet was newer but nothing else. Bed was spring and uncomfortable. Was last minute, so I just endured. Next morning, checked out and started my drive home. I started noticing that the hotel kept charging $50 on the credit card I used. I had already locked down my card after the amount that they had preapproval for. The 243+ the 50 was the 293 that they had preapproved. Why were they charging more amounts to my card?? So I called the hotel. The nice girl from the front answered, looked at my reservation and said she didn't understand it either, but she would take care of it. She also stated that she did not see any additional charges to my account and that it was just the rate plus the pet fee. I agreed and hung up. About a half hour later, I get a phone call from an extremely rude person who claimed to be a manager that was belligerently telling me that I had underpaid and that I owed them more money. Several times I attempted to ask questions about the 293 that I was preapproved, and then compare that to what she was saying I owed, absolutely none of her math made any sense. She was extremely rude and was not at all having any conversation, she was just determined to continue to speak over every time I said anything. Her obvious determination was to continue to charge my card whatever she felt I should've paid. If I hadn't of locked my card down, she would've done exactly that. I was not about to have a conversation with a child who did not know how to act professionally, I hung up, and I called Hilton directly I spoke with a very nice lady gave her all of the information above, and she looked at my reservation and again did not see anything that would cause the rate that I was quoted, and my card was preapproved for to be different. She opened up a complaint with the location and sent it to the general manager. This was three days ago and I've still yet to hear from anybody at that location with any type of an explanation as to why I was attempted to be charged more than the original amount and why they have somebody working there who acts like a child. I say that as a compliment because I stay at many Hampton Inns each year. The reason why is consistently nice accommodations. I give a 3 score because this property met those expected standards.
