A cute little thrift shop in downtown Victoria. This volunteer-run shop is owned by the Victoria Cool Aid Society, which works to provide housing, temporary shelter, and health care for the homeless. The staff and customers seemed to know each other and were friendly and chatty as we browsed. The store isn't huge, but it has racks of men's and women's clothing, housewares, shoes, art, and books in the back. Everything seemed reasonably priced, especially the books, which were $1 or less! Sadly, we only had a few minutes to look around and (more to the point) didn't have any Canadian money on us, so we didn't purchase anything. But I'd definitely come back when I had more time to shop, as I'd like to support their mission. If you like thrifting and you're in central Victoria, it's worth a stop!

She is more than a little defensive & appears disorganized when it comes to the details of her own business. I've attempted to use her service, consigning hi-end designers such as Dolce Gabbana, Ferragamo, Manolo Blahnik, and Prada, but it has become clear to me she doesn't value the consignor, in other words, the person who is paying her rent. The consignment business is meant to be symbiotic NOT neurotic.
