I also wish there were paper towels in the bathrooms! Overall, if you need to get a workout in and don't exactly care about the aesthetics of the gym, this is your place!

Independent, certified personal trainers first establish a business relationship with Training Grounds by leasing / renting time. Training grounds provides the equipment, facilities, building and maintenance for personal trainers where they can provide training sessions. Your access to the facility is through your personal trainer and their relationship with Training Grounds. In other words, you would simply come into this location to work out independently 3 to 5 times a week as you might at another gym. As a client for one of the personal trainers here, you do pay a nominal $10 monthly fee for the key tag that provides you access to the facility for your training sessions. Training Grounds has typical workout equipment that you find at most gyms. The facility is broken down into trainer "pods" where you much of your personal training session happens. They also have different common stations for cardio and larger cable or cybex machines that your trainer may use for your training session. There is also a men's and women's locker room available for clients. Staff have been helpful here. Pretty casual atmosphere. Been really pleased with the independent personal trainer that I have been working. Definitely enjoying working with my personal trainer at that Training Grounds.

I found Debbie, Tyler, Penney, and the team at HARCUM and, in January 2024, started personal training along with swim and land classes during the week. NOW, I do all the above, even wearing size XL! My ex Jessica Swan-Young allowed her kids to do pretty much anything. She also teaches them to steal as she stole my house from me out there at 29 N 12th St. She hasn't paid since December 2022 also skipping October 2022 and continues to stay there. Someone just bought it from me in August via Sheriff's auction but can't follow through with the purchase since she refuses to talk to anyone or leave. She's a very bad person wish we had laws that would deal with her how she deserves. So of course her daughter Brianna was acting out causing trouble for others here! She was around 4 at the time. Her mom is a very vindictive person who pretends not to be. The staff here treated me with decency and from what I can tell were doing what they could to make the kids feel special. He showed me stretches to help with knee soreness when running, how to engage the right muscles after sitting all day, and my favorite stretch to align my shoulders. Prices are reasonable (when I was there $75 for an individual session, $50 each for a group of two) and Juan is great at having a plan for each session yet being flexible to individual requests. (I also met another trainer Lindsi who I would be excited about working with as well.) A nice perk is that they offer more than an hour of training -- Juan follows up, offers nutrition guidance, encourages you to get other exercise, and provides advice on home repairs (okay, maybe just me on that last one.) TLDR: Juan is caring, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun! Definitely a good investment.

He has been great..... coaching me in strength training but also nutrition, cardio, and flexibility. His depth of knowledge of the human body is very deep. Every time I whine about a particular exercise hurting my knees... or back... or hips, he knows five other exercises to work the particular muscle group a different way without pain. Truthfully, I hate every minute if it and I leave exhausted. But I have seen huge results. I am stronger, mor limber, and my muscle tone us popping out. The belly? Still working on it but definitely smaller. Juan is patient and encouraging. A great trainer.
