We walked down Llankley Place and were greeted by the colourful sight of the purple shop front exterior and those kitsch palm trees. The owner Paul Massetti greeted us warmly as we browsed the menu and we decided to try the joint out. I had a Carribbean Passion (orange, raspberries, peach, passionfruit and mango), my chick had the Verjuiceria Deluxe (Pawpaw, pineapple and orange). Both were full of flavour, fresh and really made our mornings. The prices go from around $5 to $9 (depending on the size of your drink). The menu has a selection of over 130 juices and smoothies, so there's bound to be something you'll like. They offer something called "G3 Gac" shots, not quite sure what they are but apparently they rejuvenate your cells or something like that. As we were leaving the store a tired-looking guy walked into the store and simply said, "I have a hangover." Paul sprang into action and recommended him the perfect fruit combination to bring him back to life! In conclusion: absolutely loved the place, one of the best juices I've ever tasted - will be back very soon to work my way through the menu.

Could have been me, I'm not sure, it's not important. We venture down the road from our original destination and pop into a small cafe called Citrus, for one of a number of reasons; it's proximity towards our original location, it's enclosed and privacy providing booths and the fact that it is a purveyor of eggs benedict, "An important attribute!" I am told. We order some coffees and then, when everyone arrives, some breakfast. I get the fruit platter with yoghurt and a drizzle of honey. It is just what the doctor ordered. (To catch you up, there was a doctor who ordered a fruit platter, yoghurt and a drizzle of honey once.) I ate those seasonal fruits with gusto, refreshed to my core as I drank that soy cappuccino and woke up for the day. Meeting underway, we discussed our various points on the agenda and tried to move forward as a company. The private booth, the perfect backdrop to our production meeting, and the fruit platter an amazing and delicious breakfast indeed.

I got the "stressbuster" - I think it was celery, ginger, apple... DELICIOUS! Our salads were just OK. We both agreed the seafood tasted weird and unappetizing. Mind you, NOT unfresh or off.. just weird. We asked for lemon, it didn't help. The service was very smiley and nice, they have a HUGE menu with breakfast all day, pasta, burgers, salads, dessert. I've always been taught when a place does EVERYTHING, they usually don't do ANYTHING exceptionally well. My feeling is this fits here, but if you just want a generic meal in a pinch, you could do worse. It's not bad.

It is very tiny…read moreand today it was all about DanP :) Upon ordering my sandwich, I decided to eat in (50c extra) and I also went for toasted. I sat at 1 of the 3 only available seats by the window overlooking Bridge Street. I was greeted by a used coffee cup and saucer, but before it had a chance to irk me it was promptly cleared by the staff member who had served me (and several others takeaway orders) whilst I sat down. I spied a curious game from my youth beckoning me to play. So whilst I waited: I challenged; beat; cheated; and was defeated by, myself. Pretty soon my sammich arrived, sliced in half, toasted to a gorgeous golden brown and presented pleasingly in an appetising way. There was change from a tenner; staff were friendly and quick at clearing; and the food tasted good. I'll be back!

But today I tried a pint sized Nutella Coffee in a little pharmaceutical looking brown glass bottle... Damn it hit my 3.30pm sweet spot! So so so delish! Best thing about Piccolo Me is the awesome barista Joe, who makes a pretty good cuppa but can make what was a mediocre day completely flip upside down, makes THE difference.

You'll find queues here from people all over the west who are in the know of bread rolls. They're crusty but not too hard as the crunch to reveal a buttery soft inner. These guys also make a pretty tasty traditional Vietnamese Pork Roll with some tasty home made pate and creamy butter. They also offer a westernised chicken roll too. Just coming home from Paris I realised that their croissants are pretty top notch too. But best of all like most Vietnamese hot bread stores... You only need to empty your weeks pockets of loose change!

The juices are always great with fresh produce and overall full of yummy goodness! You can get some exotic combos and they're always featuring a different juice. I'm not a big yoghurt fan but these, I couldn't resist, and they never disappoint. There's just something different about this place! Love that a small business has grown without losing its 'something special' feeling.

An old school Chinese grocery store, one you would expect to find in Chinatowns of old. There's not…read moremany places like this left in Sydney's Chinatown anymore due to the advent of full size Asian supermarkets in the area, so it's worth a visit alone due to the fact it belongs to an endangered species. Inside, it's not as clean as the big Asian supermarkets in Sydney, and it's a bit cluttered, but the chaotic feel is part of the experience of these places. There's plenty of items for sale though, the usual cups of noodles, drinks along with various other Chinese products. There's also a lady who stands facing Ultimo Road and sells freshly roasted nuts, can't comment on these but they seem popular with the locals. All in all, I suggest a visit to this place while it's still here.
