Despite some of the negative reviews I read about Breathe Fresh, I decided to hire them because most of the bad reviews were not that recent. I spoke with Bobby on the phone and he gave me a quote to clean our air ducts, fireplace and chimney. The next day I texted him to schedule the service and at the end he asked me to text him the address and the price he quoted me. I thought that was strange. Even more strange is that I was asked again the day of by Jon, who actually did the service, as he didn't know what the quoted price was either. Furthermore, Jon also had to ask me what service was being performed. Jon was great! He explained everything as he was doing it and showed me some before and after photos. The one knock on the actual service is that Jon left all of our vents closed, which I did not discover until a couple days later when I realized that the heater was running more often and for longer than usual. I didn't expect this because he ran the fan for almost 20 minutes before leaving to "get the air circulating." Not sure much was circulating though given the closed vents, but that's not the reason for the 2-star review. Keep reading... The first fire I burned in the fireplace after the cleaning resulted in a smokey odor in the house the next day. It was fine while the fire was burning, and I'm certain the damper was open, so I don't believe this to be an error on my part. I'm not claiming it has anything to do with the work that Jon did (or didn't do), but I contacted Bobby to share this info with the hopes that they'd come out to investigate. It had been a week since I burned a fire, but the odor didn't diminish despite the damper being closed and windows being opened during the day. Instead, I developed a cough and my eyes burned. I explained this to Bobby in my communication with him, but it didn't spark any urgency on his end. The timeline of our communication was as follows: Tue 12/12 @ 12:55 pm: I texted Bobby informing him of odor and asking for a good time to chat on the phone. Wed 12/13 @ 9:10 am: I called and left a message for Bobby since I got no response to my previous day's text. Wed 12/13 @ 5:49 pm: Bobby calls and leaves a voicemail, apologizes for missing my call earlier, and says to call him back or text for a faster response. I was at a holiday party, so was unable to answer or respond that evening. Thu 12/14 @ 10:15 am: I text Bobby (as instructed by his voicemail) and gave him a couple time slots in which I'd be available for a call that day. It is now 5:54 pm on Fri 12/15 and I still have not heard back from Bobby. Unfortunately I've had to hire another company to come out and investigate the potential causes for the odor, and I regret having hired Breathe Fresh in the first place. Based on reviews, it appears that Breathe Fresh does great work most of the time. In this instance, I'm discouraged by the lack of follow-through and the apparent disregard for quality customer service.

He offered to clean my windows for free if I removed the review and I emailed him back and said I don't want a free window cleaning, I want to share my experience. A few days later he showed up to my home UNANNOUNCED AND UNINVITED and intimidated me into removing the review. After seeing Daniel B's review I am re-posting my honest and true review. I will not be bullied- and I wonder how many other clients have been bullied or harassed by this business owner!?? We scheduled a window cleaning for 1pm yesterday, April 28, 2014. It was very windy so at 12pm I called Cedar to confirm and he said they'd be there. No mention of a delay. I stayed home all day and at 3:30 pm still no window cleaners, no courtesy phone call, nothing. My husband called Cedar and gently suggest we reschedule due to the delay, and Cedar was dismissive and rude, telling him "They'll be there soon. I have other things to be doing right now" and hanging up on him! Excuse me Cedar, but I had other things to be doing too during the three hours I was waiting for your team to show up! When still no one had shown up by 4pm we cancelled our service. I can't believe we were treated this way by a company named after the Hindu god of yogis! Shame on you!

Maybe my review can help you make the best decision on who to choose for your window cleaning. My wife contacted Eyes of Shiva to clean the windows of our house. She's on the board of our small 6 unit HOA and offered to talk to the other homeowners to see if others were interested, and if she could get a few more people in, could we get a break on the price. He agreed so she got 3 other homeowners on board. The owner came to the property to assess the units and create a bid. Later he left a weird voicemail with me about my wife not getting back to him, as if the decision was made that they weren't going to choose them. I had to remind him that I was not the point person for the window cleaning project, and that he needs to speak directly with my wife, as she's on the HOA Board. Just before the cleaning he sent an email to my wife about his crew coming to clean and that he wanted payment same day of service. Absolutely reasonable. We let the participating homeowners know. Day of service the owner shows up with his crew. He gets introduced to the other homeowners so that arrangements can be made regarding access and timing for the day's cleaning, and give him an opportunity to make arrangements for payment. His workers are nice guys, professional, they get to work and he leaves. That evening, after folks got home from work, the homeowners expected to talk to the EoS owner about the work, pay the bill, etc. but he didn't show up. We had made arrangements for payment and we assumed that the owner was talking to the other homeowners about the respective work done and payment, but a couple weeks later he emailed my wife asking for payment from the other homeowners too. Other homeowners said they didn't hear from him about their quality of the work or the payment. In one case, they had to track him down on how to send payment. Weird. Why won't he talk to the other homeowners? Completely unprofessional in my opinion. But despite my wife's busy schedule, she did HIS job and wrangled the checks, then sent them off in the mail. A few days later he sends another email asking where payment is. My wife explains that she sent it to his company address in the signature of his email. He sends back an email scolding her, saying that he doesn't put his address in his email signature. Well, he absolutely did, and my wife sent him the email as proof. I assume he went to his PO Box and got the checks, but why make her do all the work? Why not confer with the other homeowners about the work he did at their houses, and fix mistakes or collect payment? The window cleaning itself was acceptable, we've had better and worse, but dealing with the owner of the company was a frustrating and confusing experience. There are easier companies to work with out there. I suggest you do your research and go with one of them.

Dan was able to work with me to remove the Leaf Filter gutters and gutter covers and work around my house painting schedule.
