The elevator is fast and takes you to the 30th floor where there is a sightseeing terrace which surrounds the top. It takes the elevator only 19 seconds to reach the top. The 30th floor includes a mid century style Gothic Hall, a photo gallery and a coffee bar.

The local Poles also called it "Stalin's P***S"...I don't see it, do you? :) Despite the dark history, seeing this building certainly makes an impression on you, especially architectural nerds like myself. The interior reflects the era. I didn't have a chance, but building has a couple of large theaters to see shows and concerts. 25PLN/$6 will let you ride up to the "tip", I mean top of the building at 30 floors up. You'll get some sweeping panoramic views for some pretty good photos and Instagram posts...though the Warsaw skyline is rather flat and dull compared to other views. Still worth the cheap $6, and it won't take much time out of your day. I think I paid $45 to go up Seattle's Space Needle a few months ago.

Located in the old Warsaw Ghetto is a grand museum honoring Polish Jewish history. Tickets are around $11 USD. The main exhibit area is quite extensive and is entirely underground. Since most things were destroyed by the end of World War II, it's a lot of text with replicas. There are a few original items but come ready to read (or listen to the audio tour in multiple languages). I personally found the exhibit helpful in understanding how Jews came to Poland. For example, the law prevented them from owning land, separating them from the Poles. Instead, Jews became merchants and tax collectors. Make sure you spend time in the gift shop, art areas, and eating in the cafe. It's very good food!

This is not accurate, comprehensive, informed, fair, balanced or constructive in understanding context or history. Exhibits include killings of poles of Jews after WWII. Not a single mention of the 3million non Jewish Poles, including Polish Catholics, most all of the religious, killed by the German Nazis. Therefore, no, I do not agree with the reviewer.

They did such an incredible job rebuilding that I wouldn't have known if I didn't read about it advance. Like any European "Old Town", stroll the the streets, peek inside some shops, maybe enjoy some drinks and food at the tourist trap restaurants. While its definitely touristy, you'll find some unique boutique stores and lots of photo opportunities.

It's all walkable area into the castle, shops, restaurants etc. For the holiday season they decorate a huge tree with many other holiday decorations. While being in Warsaw for a week, we roamed the Plac Zamkowy multiple times. It's gorgeous at night with all the lights. And radiantly beautiful with all the historic townhomes and buildings in the day time. The best views are seen of the castle square from above the St.Anne's tower. It's a tower in the square that you get ticket to view the town below. Side Note- If you plan on taking a walking tour, most of the walking tours start near the column area right in the middle of castle square.

The area is also very safe and kept well clean. This area is a bit of a tourist trap - but why wouldn't it be? Everywhere you walk you WILL definitely stop to take photos. It is so easy to get lost in the beauty of this area - you'll see what I mean if you come here. There is no better time to visit this place - any time of the day will do just fine. My preference though is to come here at night time - the place is beautifully lit then. This old town may not be as old as some other old towns in Europe, but it is still well preserved as if it was like the other old towns.

They did an amazing job in restoring it. UNESCO in 1980 notes the Old Town of Warsaw as a wonderful example of near total reconstruction of history of Warsaw from 13th to 20th century. The palace surrounding this area is also remodeled to the prewar times. The Old Town environment is tourist friendly and walkable in day and night time. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes, churches, palace etc around it. We did our Warsaw walking tour from this area too. The walking tour meeting point was Sigismund's Column. Side Note- The money exchange is very good in this area. It's better to get currency from the Old Town compared to the airport or other areas.~

The signage for the tour route was also poor and mostly non existent. Due to the language barrier, multi language signage really needs to be implemented so that all guests can self navigate. I purchased the ticket which was timed entry noting a 2pm beginning. I was supposed to receive an audio guide as it is included in the price. No one was able to tell me where to retrieve this. I saw a lady handing them out but she aggressively grabbed it from my hands and scolded that I wasn't with her group. She could not direct me. Beyond this incident, no one gave me a locker token to store my things which led to another misunderstanding between myself and the staff. They yelled at me for having a closed container water bottle and I was forced to toss it as no one could help explain the locker system. I also had so much trouble finding the starting point of the tour and was scolded for going the wrong way. Once I was finally on the tour, I did find it pleasant despite the lack of audio guide. Beyond the inside of the rebuilt castle are the lovely gardens. Entry to the gardens is free and there are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy. It was an inexpensive and rather short time needed to see everything so I am glad I stopped but really did find it in poor taste for the staff to treat tourists this way. Understandably, not everyone speaks English but in a major tourist attraction, I expect better signage. Would have rated higher if not for the rudeness and poor guidance.

We went with the connoisseur ticket, so at the end you get to taste 4 different types of vodka produced from wheat, rye and potato. I thought it was very interesting to taste the difference. My fav was the plain Ostoya vodka made from wheat. It has really nice fruit notes. A close second was the Luksusowa vodka made with potato. It literally has no after taste. Smooth and silky! At the end of the tour, the connoisseur ticket comes with a "Polish Vodka Connoisseur" diploma which is super cute. And then you're escorted upstairs to the 3/4 Bar, where you're treated to a cocktail from the "secret VIP" cocktail menu (not available to the general public). The cocktails were absolutely amazing. And these bartenders are pros! Once you're done enjoying all the goodies, you can head down to the gift shop and purchase some bottles and souvenirs to take home! Great experience.

Plus, the tasting was just a short 5-10 minute $l bus ride from Old Town to an area in Praga, a part of Warsaw that looks newly built and super trendy, with lots of restaurants and shops. It's a great spot to escape from the touristy Old Town and explore something a little different.

The little boats on the pond are so cute and romantic! There are several places where you can buy ice cream or have something to drink or eat. Nevertheless, starting May you can admire an extraordinary transformation: Every tree becomes green, every step of the garden grows healthy, bright green grass, flowers of every color, squirrels running around and birds signing nonstop. Feels like walking through paradise. The park is super clean! Now it is not allowed to walk your dog in the park, therefore you can afford to sit in a bench or grass without any worries. And for pet lovers, please do not worry! Warsaw has dozens of parks nearby where dogs and pets are welcome. I am one of them. Inside Łazenki you may find a few restaurants and places to eat or rest. If you are looking for a high scale experience I would strongly recommend to visit belvedere restaurant in the midSouth/west side of the park. If what you want is some beer and traditional polish sausage, in the north west of the park you may find Agrykola Sklep. It has outdoor sitting area and the guy that makes the hot dogs is an expert!! Any way, there is always a great reason to visit this park! May to October, Łazenki is simply wonderful !!
