I have been coming here for the past few weeks and noticed these safe guarding processes such as temperature screening, hand/foot sanitizers and per-marked 6 ft squares in the lobby area. My kids told me that the instructors do wipe down the equipment after each student's activities and always everyone is required to wear a mask. This facility does offer some sort of streaming app called SpotTV, which is a bit difficult to get the app to register and properly work all the time but once everything is working properly, you are able to see your kids activities online. Parking is limited in their private lot and there are metered parking outside.

All of the coaches we've had have been wonderful (shoutout to Anna, Daniel, and Vanessa). Every week they have a theme and focus on different skills and give you ideas of what to do at home to continue the theme. The staff is super friendly and helpful. If we can't make it in or need to schedule a makeup class, it's easy to do via text or phone call.

Even without that nice perk, it was still a great place to take our son. They cover a large range of ages, and his first class was when he was little under a year and a half and couldn't quite walk yet. At that young, it's mostly teaching them how to listen to instructions, play on the equipment and tumble around. He was a little too young to directly socialize with the other kids but still had a blast. For younger ones parents are expected to be in the class with their child so be sure to keep that in mind. They often have "Parents Night Out" events where kids can be dropped off for an evening, but your boy was too young for those. Probably the best thing about Little Gym is how flexible they are with make up classes. Kids get sick, vacations come up, etc. and the make up system is really simple - basically as long as you let them know you're missing a class before it starts, you get a make up class in the bank that you can use. Since there are multiple instances of a class running in a week you just need to find a day that works for you and can use up those classes whenever. The staff here is great and the classes are always well structured. We'll definitely miss taking our little one but hopefully this can get others to take a trial class here.

Called again and I asked to know information about throwing my son's birthday party during the winter since it's an indoor facility. They got my information and said some "coach" was going to get back to me with information... a week has gone by. I called. No answer just like the week prior. Gave it one more shot because I was really really trying to get information because my son is obsessed with playing baseball and I "thought" this would be the perfect place. I was called back by a different number which I wasn't even going to answer since it was unknown. So when I talked to a woman who answered she said oh I'm so sorry. There's renovations going on so we're busy but I still have your information and will make sure "coach" gets back to you THAT SAME DAY. I was very hopeful since I said even an email will work. Hours went by and never received a call or email. Really frustrated, upset and disappointed I was given false hope again. How busy are you that I've given you a week to call me back. Email. Voicemail. Nothing. Never received customer service like this anywhere ever!! Didn't even know or think a person/ company would do this. I have had my 7 year old in swim lessons at McGuane for 3 sessions w/in a few years. The class…read moresizes are very large (up to 25 kids per class) because it is free to Chicago residents. I will rave about how good the lessons are, but since the class is so large, there are many distractions by kids messing around. If your child can focus and wait patiently for their turn, it is awesome! Most of the time they have 2 instructors in the pool at a time, and sometimes 3. They are extremely good at ensuring your child is paid attention to for their safety. Most of the instructors are very good and put a lot of effort into training your child correctly with correct positioning of their body, hands, etc., especially the head instructor (I keep forgetting his name). He is the best!! There is only one person that is horrible and I wish they'd get rid of this person (don't want to mention gender). This instructor just passes the kids down the pool lane. This instructor doesn't put any effort into training the child and correcting them. This person just appears to be there to be paid. Besides that one person, the others are fantastic. They start the beginners in 3 foot water and when they become advanced enough, they put them in the deeper water and work them at a higher level. I hope the head instructor will remain there and I hope he spends more time in the pool (he's not in the pool much, only when there is someone missing).

The turf was super hairy, make sure that you plan on brushing yourself off after the game. We didn't visit the restaurant that's attached to this facility, but it seemed like a restaurant that had a lot of different options for all kind of game and beer drinkers. The Chicago Fire sponsors this field and so you can get all type of Chicago fire attire. That's your jam. It's great to see pro sports sponsoring these type of fields so that kids have opportunity for League games in their city community. There are indoor bathrooms on site which is a pro when it comes to an outdoor soccer game.
