My 8 year old isn't really into sports. But i9 soccer has been able to keep some of her interest :). The all girls soccer league was a great idea. And the low stress style of practice and games on the same day is perfect for the impossible-to-schedule-anymore-into-our-lives family we seem to have become. So great job i9. This club was a complete rip off. I signed my 13 year old son for flag football. In the beginning it was good but towards the end kids didn't start showing up. They only played one day, practice the same day. I tried to email the organizers Rameed and he never returned any of my emails. Just pay the extra $200 and sign up for tackle football at your local school, where they coach and practice every day of the week. This place is very unprofessional and I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to waste your time. read more

My daughter is eager to reenroll in her second soccer season! Loves the new friendships, her amazing Coach Alex (who encouraged the young players and treated them as if his own child) and medals. We've had a lot of experience with children's sports programs and this is by far the best one yet, both for the kids and the parents. The coaches are volunteers and ours are FANTASTIC -- well-trained dads with serious skills and great way with kids. The program focuses on sportsmanship and positive behaviors, too, so it's just the right amount of competitive. Communications are really professional -- if they tell you the schedule will be posted on the first, you can guarantee it's up the day before! The website even tells you how many baskets AND assists your kid scored in each game. The best part is that the practices and games are consolidated into a single Saturday morning time slot. So no more signing up for something only to find out that practices are the same time as piano lessons! You know the schedule well in advance and can fit easily into family life. Next year, our son will play on the school's basketball team, and we'd like for him to continue with i9 at the same time. Ordinarily I wouldn't even consider that because we are really careful about not over- scheduling, but i9 makes it so positive for him and easy for us, that we want to keep going as long as we can. read more

The guys running the programs are good people. They are hands on and quick to respond should you need anything. Two of my children are playing soccer this fall at Montrose and the lake. It has been a wonderful experience. The program is so well run and so organized. The online system is amazing for communication, scheduling and working with our team. I help coach both of my kids' teams. The parents have all been wonderful. Everyone is there for the same goal - to have fun and to make sure the kids are enjoying themselves while being part of a team. Everyone contributes in their own way to the team. I am happy we have met so many new families and have helped big a bigger community for our family network in the big city of Chicago. read more

Terrible, person that signed us up gave us no info and ended up signing us up at a location super far from our house. Called less than an hour later to cancel and they said we couldn't because registration had closed. We were told it was still open. They tried to get us signed up somewhere near our house but they only play on Sunday and we can't due to religious reasons so we wouldn't be able to use our credit. read more

We enrolled our son in the Pee Wees league and it's the best decision we made for him. He's super hyper active and it was a great outlet to focus his energy in. At first, I didn't think the coaches could grab his attention, but they worked well with him and helped him stay engaged during the short drills. I love the i9 league option for him and that it's walking distance from our house. If you're looking for an outlet for your hyper active son or daughter, I encourage you to join. We will be staying with them until he graduates to the Junior level. Fingers crossed. :-) read more

I wanted to love this. I even coached. But the team's weren't balanced by the league and one group of little kids was getting pummeled each game and going home dejected. For soccer, AYSO is better. They balance the teams. I.spoke with the league, but no result. read more

i9 has a lot going for it. A nice brand and mission, ie Inclusion for all, fun above all and focus on the kids in an attractive atmosphere. Tbh, they sorta lost me at the start, meaning my 8 y/o son signed up for flag football and the very first game was like a JV HS team vs a collegiate team...complete blowout, repleat with over zealous Dad's in it for more that any Parent should be with a *children's* sport. The fact that the other team admittedly had been playing together for a few years, knew each other well, and all went to the same school only reinforced my notion that i9 was a bill of good sold on good branding and marketing. But then we came again the next week and the game was far less one sided, in fact my Son's team won in a close game. I offered up to be a coach as I really felt that I wanted to be a part of 1. My Son's excitement in a game he loves and 2. a possible change agent should it be needed in a (potentially) flawed and biased system. Season has come and gone and I can say that i9 has its flaws. It may even be biased to an extent but I will enroll my Son again next Fall season and see where it leads. So much potential, time will tell. read more

We have done several sessions with soccer and basketball. The format, half practice, half scrimmage, allows the kids to kearn skills and get some competition. Kids are taught a "teamwork" skill to focus on each week. The environment is encouraging. The coaches are volunteer parents - so far our experiences have been positive, though have witnessed some trying to reclaim their youth and not reinforcing or following rules. The days run smooth. Even the referees are great, especially Edwin! Overall, a positive kids' sports program. read more

Cancel my sons program so I can't address the program, but Izzy provided terrible customer service. He did not respond to multiple emails. There was a long delay in receiving the refund and finally received the refund after multiple requests. I will not use i9 in the future. read more

We weren't super impressed with i9. We did one season of basketball and ended up switching half way through and focusing more on soccer. The main drawback with i9 which is what some of the other reviews are saying is that the coaches are all parents/volunteers. That is for sure ok, but they should at least do some screening or support if the volunteers don't have a lot of experience. So your experience is really going to be on the luck of the draw of your coach. We didn't manage to luck out - our son would say stuff like - "why are they having us only do layups and not teach anything". The part that seemed really bad though was that they have staff of i9 there and they really should be looking to see if the coaches have experience or not and help out. In our team matching the other coach was really good and ours not so much. the first game was even, then each game just got worse and worse with the blowouts as the other team was coached up. The i9 staff really should be watching for this and jumping in - instead of just standing around not really doing anything. overall I think there are better options in the city. read more
