At first I thought this shop was a good trustworthy shop, I bought a brand new set of falken tires…read moreoff of tirerack and a set of used rims for my truck. I needed to get them mounted, so I contacted Vetting Customs - Rigs and Rides..they got me in right away with no appointment and I couldn't get there until 4:30pm(they close at 5). They stayed late to get the job done...they mounted and balanced my tires, charged $144 for it. I drove home and I felt a little shaking in the steering wheel. I thought maybe it was the road and snow...but after the snow melted and roads were clear, the shaking was still there..so I messaged them almost a week later at 9pm on facebook and they responded within 10 mins. .they had mentioned that they balanced them and it might be a bent rim, but to take it in and they will rebalance them...took it in and they re balanced them...they claimed that my rims are bent, they had to had 6oz of weights to 2 tires and put them on the rear so it doesn't effect my steering....and it drove okay, still a little vibration.... Fast forward to a week later, I bought another set of used rims with tires...threw them on my truck and it drove fine..so I went back to vettings to get my falkens taken off the first set of rims...they mounted and balanced the falkens on the 2nd set of rims, the tech and I test drove it and the shaking came back..(spent $189).so he told me that it may be the tires being out of round...and I had to get them road force balanced to confirm....and to let then know what the issue is..so after almost $400, I had to drive a truck with 6k miles that would shake at 40mph... So I went to bauer built to have the wheels road force balanced, tech there said that before he took the weights off to re balance them, he put then on the machine and all four wheels were way off, one of the front wheels were 8oz off, he suggested that vettings machine needed to be calibrated or they didn't mount the tire correctly onto the machine...so I msged vettings to inform them of the suggestion...to my surprise, no response at all....after spending $75 after bauer, my truck drives fine! So I took my 1st set of rims to a different shop to see if they were bent...they put them on their machine and spun it and there was no wobble or signs of it being bent.. They were perfectly fine! So I DO NOT recommend this shop to anyone at all!!

I had a nail in my tire this morning and didn't want to take any chances with it so I started calling around Manitowoc to see who could get me in ASAP. Are you sitting down? I called eight different service centers!! now I understand it was a Friday at 1 o'clock, but I called eight different service centers in Manitowoc and all of them could not fit me in ! even my local regular shop said I could drop it off and come back for it a few hours later in the day but I had errands to run and things to do and I needed the car fixed immediately. my father said "did you try Novak?" He gave me the number and I dialed it right up. I spoke with a friendly agent, I told her my story and I said "do you think I can get into your shop right now?" and she said "absolutely come on down." I was quite excited . I drove over - they pulled the nail out. It was nothing serious. It wasn't leaking any air and my $charge$ was zero for 10 minutes of work. Maybe it was 5 minutes of work. For that reason , I will be coming back for future service. I might be easy to impress, but after this experience, i'll give them another try!

The situation is laughable from the towing company and the police. They work with Elkhart police dept to make money on event days. I demand that i will not be paying this ridiculous fee for towing when I got no call, and the street parking was not stapled to trees until the morning of. help me get the word out there that Al's transmission and Auto in Manitowoc Wisconsin is not a safe…read moreor reputable business to take your vehicle for repairs or servicing me and Marissa took our vehicle there as a referral from another auto shop that doesn't work on transmissions Al's transmission did not follow the proper steps they were supposed to send an estimate to the insurance company and get authorization to do work on the transmission instead they just went ahead worked on the transmission and then tried billing the insurance company and the insurance company said they weren't paying because they didn't authorize then they tried billing us for the work which we did not authorize we are now currently in the process of suing them for the vehicle and the unauthorized repairs and since the court case is now going they have went and placed a mechanics lien to take the vehicle and sell it instead of just owning up to their screw up given the vehicle back or waiting for the court case to be finished me being the nice guy that I am before all this started I tried working out a deal with else transmission Craig Lisa you name them and they refused I didn't want to see a shop get screwed over their money because they didn't follow the proper steps when they fixed our truck but they shot us down every step of the way that we tried finding some middle ground with them I can't emphasize this enough do not trust ales transmission and auto with your vehicle. Finally got ahold of Zach 2 months later. There was no effort to remedy the issue or discuss any reasonable solution. They did offer to charge me $50.00 an hour to look at it AFTER telling me it had a catastrophic electrical failure. It felt like once the sale was complete, customer service no longer mattered. I understand that used cars can come with risks, but a vehicle failing almost immediately raises serious concerns about how it was inspected or represented before sale. I would strongly caution others to be very careful when considering buying a vehicle from this dealer. Make sure to get an independent inspection and understand exactly what you're getting into, because support after the purchase will not be there.
