Lightness and a "make your own".
    Karma C.

. The menu sounds delicious but complicated - but it isn't really. Just ask one of the nice staff members (like I did) and you are set. I grabbed a ready made set of food (Lightness), but you can create your own by ticking the boxes on the sheet. Supercharger is healthy, filling and vegan. You pay min 13.50 but GEE you get so much food. A giant bowl filled with a "super base" (in my case - mashed pumpkin AND spinach leaves), a "super smash"( green peas and avocado), a "super raw" (shredded beetroot, carrot, radish and ginger) a "super ferment" (red cabbage and caraway kraut) and a "super sauce" (tahini and coconut water) - plus you get two smaller side bowls with "super proteins (ginger mushroom broth)" and "super simmer" (chickpea curry). It looks mega cool on the tray. ha. I would actually recommend sharing it! There is enough there for two people!

Your superblasts waiting to be blended for you. This is a broccoli, mint, cucumber, Apple & celery combo

Superchrager you had my smug trolley radar honing in on your choose-your-own-adventure healthy eats as soon as we walked into the Emporium food court. The recipe for your healthy lunch is simple once you work out the ordering form. It's as simple as picking your base, adding in smashed avo or pumpkin, proteins and other bits and bobs that create a smug and suitably healthy bowl for your lunch. Pair it with a smoothie (go for the broccoli, cucumber, mint and apple) or raw dessert to round out your clean eating fixation. Be warned, a cheap and cheerful lunch could turn into a $20 bowl if you become too trigger happy with your options. Still, it's a far cry from the food court options like chiko rolls and chips & gravy of my childhood!

Go away for a couple of weeks & the world changes on you! How hidden from popular circulation, the self "mix & match" combos are less preferred than the listing of 12 "highlighted" offers. Four each of "superOneBowl", "SuperRainbows" or "SuperSevens" ranging from $12.90 to $14.90 each. Don't get me wrong these highlighted combos are pretty blood good for the price & being a vegan joint you know they're not going to slip up & accidentally cook your mushrooms in butter for example. Only downside of the 12 new options is the fact a lot have mushrooms, what if you don't want them today???? You can be sneaky, pretend you're a regular and ask for the individual make your own menu - they'll give it to you. I think the real reason for the new approach is speed of making & dispatch (the till is heaps quicker) which is an upside. With fresh blended juices available (pick it off the shelf & they'll blend it) & a massive choice of cooked, raw, bases, sides, soups, curries, condiments and more there is no excuse to say "vegan food is boring". If I'd said 10 years ago that the old Myer food court would have a vegan outlet I'd have been locked up...lucky even the old can move with the time.

Well colour me impressed. I was a serious skeptic and wasn't convinced I would enjoy a meal at Supercharger, but glad I was guided here by a seasoned regular. My dining companion for the afternoon certainly helped, as looking at the two different paper menus and endless combinations I may have given up and walked off if I was trying to figure it out alone. So her advice which I am now passing to you: go for the pre-designed options. They understand how the food tastes together and provide a mountain of delicious vegan food for under $15. Sold. I opted for the immunity salad, which included delicious pumpkin, quinoa, a kale salad, picked vegetables, a side of eggplant, a bowl of silken tofu soup...honestly even reading the menu I wasn't sure what the hell I was getting but was happy to just go with it! The bowl was bigger than I imagined and definitely a lot tastier too. I felt good for eating it but more importantly I actually enjoyed it! Really wholesome, delicious raw food. As someone who has a terrible habit of eating themselves sick on a regular basis, it's nice to feel like this after a meal - especially a fast food meal from a shopping centre food court! Gluten free, allergy free, vegan, vegetarian, raw and paleo - this place ticks a lot of boxes for speciality diets. I'm a convert. I'll definitely be back. I think their ordering system could use a little work to make it easier on everyone else - but just go straight for the pre-made options and trust that you'll end up with a hearty salad bowl of vegetable goodness. Even if you've found other build you own vegie bowl places underwhelming, Supercharger could be the one to change your mind.

    Combo.

The portions are ENORMOUS. I think for $14 you get a combo meal that could be shared between 2 people. The menu is great - you can pick a premade combination of things or pick whatever you like. The ingredients are creative and the staff are friendly.

Really good price for raw / vegan food! Lots of variety and so filling! Will be back!!

As a vegan, usually when I go to a paleo place, I shudder at the amount of meat and eggs on offer -- but Seedling Cafe's not like that. Their menu dovetails nicely with a plant-based diet, offering plenty of vegan options. For breakfast, vegans can choose from smashed avo, blueberry porridge, and four different kinds of smoothie bowls made from coconut milk. They also have a variety of fancy-pants lattes (turmeric, matcha, etc.) and coffee with almond, coconut, or soy milk. For lunch, there's not much on the menu for vegans per se, but check the display case where they have their fresh salads and there are usually a few vegan salads, which you can mix and match to make a nice healthy lunch (that's what I did -- I had a pea thing, a cauliflower thing, and a vegan coleslaw thing. Yes. Thing.) And of course they have some healthy treats by way of raw vegan bars and energy balls and stuff like that. These vary so just check the display case. I had the peanut bar and while it wasn't decadent like peanut butter, I wasn't really wanting or expecting it to be -- it tasted mostly like ground up peanuts and a bit of sweetness and a bit of chocolate. In other words, it tasted healthy, which is what you're after anyway if you're going to this place. Their menu and the food in their display case is clearly marked with vegan, paleo, dairy-free, and nut-free options. V* means vegan, and staff knows what exactly "vegan" entails. (They even know that honey is not vegan, which is impressive because a lot of non-veg restaurants/cafes don't know that one.) In terms of atmosphere, this Seedling Cafe is lighter and brighter and feels roomier than their Flinders Lane location. It's in the Equitable Place laneway, on the corner with Little Collins Street. Not much seating so this place is mostly take-away, but there are a few small tables and chairs.

Tried to go on our first evening in Melbourne, but unfortunately the place was closed due to a private function (Christmas party). Came back a few days later. The weather had changed so it was unfortunately not the sitting outside kind of weather we had hoped and what looked like Trunk was designed for. Decided that we would go to the diner side, instead of the Italian side. Walked in and what struck us immediately was the noise! We had our hearts set on trying this very cool little spot. We initially had to wait for some seats to be cleaned up, even though there was a number of open tables. Once seated our server(s) were very friendly and we had our food on the table in no time. I went for the burger and my wife went for the chili salad. My burger was ok, but the bun was such that it nearly disintegrated and I was left trying to eat a squished out mess. I tried my wife's meal and it was definitely very tasty. Overall, The food was good, but not fabulous, like I had hoped. Even though the place was only 1/2 full, the noise levels were such that we had to nearly yell at each other to be heard. The entire place is glass, hardwood floors and metal chair (which make a seriously loud noise when moved). This would have been a cool place to linger and chat, but unless you have a blowhorn that's just not possible. Out servers were very friendly and good. I think had we been able to sit outside this would have been a fabulous spot. I'll go back, as long as I can enjoy my meal outside.
