Deliberately made an appointment with Danielle after reading all the positive, great reviews about her as the appointment was going to be my 1st visit to this salon. I'm used to Supercuts and was never disappointed with my haircuts from the Salon in Port Orange, FL. Danielle was fabulous!!! Gave me a great haircut and was very knowledgeable and honest when I asked about coloring my already highlighted hair as certain color. I appreciated her honesty as she was looking out for the benefit of my hair and not trying to give me a color that wouldn't be good for me. While my haircut was fine and MY stylist was professional, I will NOT be back. The stylist next to me ran her mouth continuously (which is always annoying) about how her kid got in trouble at school. BASHING teachers, how they don't work enough and should answer texts at all hours of the night. Her level of unprofessionalism and entitlement was unprecedented. I am, of course, a teacher, and had had enough of hearing her complaining after 15 minutes when I just wanted a relaxing haircut on my weekend after working ALL WEEK!!!!!Imagine if she complained about ANY profession and that person were sitting in the chair next door! Let me just say that I'm irritated that I did not get what I asked for. I wanted a whole new style and the beautician simply cut off my split ends, trimmed my bangs, and made me look presentable for my corporate job. Yet a shampoo and cut is about $20 and the vibe was really relaxed and ocean-y. It's Florida. I can get my drastic style change next month at that price. They had both kids and male clients getting haircuts while I was in there, and they sell giant tubs of hair products that I don't use. I will be going back because in a town that rolls up the sidewalks at sunset, I can squeeze my haircut in after I finish work since they are open until 8 pm. read more

Won't go back here again, was there a few months ago and my son and I both got great cuts. Went today and both stylist no longer work there and the 2 we had today were bad. Girl that checked us in was rude and just walked away, then another girl came up and said "go sit down" and I informed her I didn't realize we were done checking in. First girl took my son and did opposite of what he asked for and girl that I got refused to give me haircut I wanted saying it would make my hair frizzy. Well I originally got the haircut information at this salon and had it done twice else where. Is there anywhere in Florida to get a haircut you ask for? Update, sent my son to a barber shop today to get the mess up from super cuts fixed. Girl had a rat tail coming from top of his head and left 2 inches on one side and 3 on the other. Very happy with my cut by Jen! I asked for a hairstyle like the brunette on the left and it turned out perfect. There was a 15 min wait, but I appreciated that the stylist took their time to do it right rather than rush through the cut. I will go back. read more

First off, I have been a loyal Supercuts fan and consumer for more than 15 years. Never strayed. I'm a recent transplant from New England. I have been in this store 3 times. The first time, there wasn't anyone waiting and I walked right in and received a fantastic haircut. Second time I arrived at 1:30 pm on a Sunday, knowing they close at 5pm. I always expect to. wait, as I am a walking in. I was firmly informed, as I opened the door, that they were booked for the day; this said before I even opened my mouth. No one in the waiting area, 3 ladies on the floor but with only 1 client in the chair. I politely thanked the women and went on my way... Slightly confused and disappointed. 3rd time, I was a walk in client. I was prepared for them to be slightly busy, as it was around 10 am. This time there were 5 people in the waiting area, and 1 staff member at the counter. We exchanged greetings and I asked what the wait time would be. She said I could come back in 4 hours, because she was the only one working the floor. Again, all the chairs were empty, but 5 people were waiting. I empathized for her as it appeared she felt frustrated by the situation but also felt bad that she could not help me. Again, I left feeling disappointed. I took my business 5 miles down onto commercial drive to a franchise that competes with Supercuts. I received an awesome haircut, including a skilled hair stylist who textured my hair with a razor (fancy.) The price was $4.00 cheaper than Supercuts. Great place! Come on Supercuts! Get it together! My loyalty to you has waivered. I will try one more time. Don't lose my buisness, staff your floors! Or at least have 1 designee stylist to do walk-ins only. You could get 4 men's cuts done in the time it takes to do 1 appointment. Just a suggestion. read more

Was there on August the fourteenth. Just went for a lip wax the girl was absolutely horrible it was if she had never done this before. She did was three times she couldn't get it to work. She tugged so hard she would actually pull my lip so hard it would go up with the strip and fall back down when she would try it again. I will not go back there. read more

I went back for anOther cut with Crystal, this is a very talented young woman. I left there once again feeling like I had gotten a professional cut. Even with Crystal feeling a bit under weather she was a delight to chat with and wAtch her turn my unruly hair into a bouncy cut tHst made me feel so much better. Check in online is all they ask, it doesn't matter, seems like you have to be there in person to actually be considered to be in line. Really fed up with this place. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my online appointment just to be passed up by two patrons with a later appointment time. Lost my business for ever. Plenty of competition out there...especially with new price hikes I basic cut. Not smart business plan in my opinion. read more

Walked out for the third time yesterday! First time was few weeks ago , I was told 30 min wait so I made an appointment and came back. While waiting another walk in was taken ahead of me, I was in a hurry so I left a little irritated. Week or so later they are busy so am I , I can't wait, so I leave, no big deal yet! Yesterday's I go in they are busy , I'm told 45 min wait, I make an appointment, leave and I'm back within 30 mins to sit and wait. Waiting for about a 20-30 mins more. A guy comes in and is asked "did you call ahead?" He says " no". I wait some more , now it's been an hour. No one acknowledged me or said we will be with you soon... nothing. I'm still waiting impatiently... it has now been an hour since I originally walked in. The guy who walked in less than 10 mins ago is the one they take next! And still no acknowledgement of my presence, I walked out and will never ever go back! I've been going there ever since it opened. read more

One star because of the lack of professionalism by the stylist. Clearly, they're not focused on the customer. While I was there getting my haircut the 3 stylist that were working at the time essentially were discussing their evening party plans ignoring customers. I was embarrassed for them and their adolescent behavior. No way to run a business. I couldn't wait to get out of there with my bad haircut. I've been going to this salon for a while because they have good prices (which have seemed to increase) and I'm not high maintenance when it comes to getting a trim. I usually get my hair cut by Liz and she does a great job. I'm in and out in what seems 15 minutes and it wasn't ever complicated. The other day I had to get it cut by someone different and after coming home and trying to style it, I'm not pleased. I've had a simple a line bob for a long time and it usually doesn't take to long too trim. My last visit took quite a while and the stylist (as nice as she was) used those weird scissors that a lot of my friends in cosmetology school swore just take volume out and cover up layering mistakes. My hair is already very thin. So now the back of my hair has zero volume and it's just flat against my head while the rest of my "a line" is crowding my face. A look akin to Kate from "Jon and Kate plus 8." Which I'm not thrilled about. I also have some shockingly short layers at the top and those are more volumous than the rest so they STICK OUT. Needless to say, I'll be growing it out for a while and I'm probably going to spend more money next time to get it cut somewhere else. read more
