I came here only for the $15 Tea Tree Experience, where they shampoo and condition your hair with Paul Mitchell Tea Tree products, turn on the massage chair, and put a tea tree oil and a hot towel over your face. I think they do a fairly good job here but asking for a tip at the end I don't think is great business. When I went to pay, after I gave her my card she said, how much extra are you going to add? I myself think it's impolite to ask how much extra am I going to add? Let me just do it on my own is more appropriate. Maybe I'd rather give the tip in cash and not add it onto my card. So I said an amount and she said is that all? It was 18%! But I said okay make it $20 even instead. She then said oh that's better. Like I've been a waiter before and I never asked for the tip let alone say that's not enough. If it's not enough, maybe the stylist didn't do that great a job. 50 SuperCuts have been sold to New owner. They added a answering service that gives you the wrong information! Sometimes you can get to speak to someone at the salon you want. Do not accept the info about your stylist's hours from service. Be directed to store. This has caused me to longer go to Supercuts. I was told the wrong info several times. If you go to Supercuts you know you can make an appointment only after your stylist clocks in for shift. Getting the wrong info causes you to possibly not get in at all. I got a flyer from this location in the mail that offered 2 $15 haircuts til 2/29/2024. I decided to give it a try even if it's 4 miles out of my way. I got their on my appointment at 4:15pm told them I had a coupon and proceeded to have my haircut. Once I was done the lady who helped me out, Mary, said unfortunately, they couldn't honor the coupon according to the owner. To make a long review short, ask for Lina. She is truly an expert and hones her craft well. She'll carefully listen to what you want and execute it to perfection. Most Supercut experiences have been quick and sub-par, not these last few... Back in the summer of last year, I went in for a haircut. My hair was so screwed up afterward that I was embarrassed to go out and have it see the light of day. The barber blamed on my "hair shape"... What kind of bullshit excuse is that for a barber to give especially to their client?! Lina then noticed my haircut and my dissatisfaction and came to the rescue. She looked familiar and I found out she cut my hair a few years ago and recognized me! She basically told the other barber to step aside and let her work her magic. After being pressed for time and needing a quick haircut, I decided to try this supercuts and went to Vikki. She totally knows what she is doing and asks you how you want your hair cut. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and told her I wanted something low maintenance. She totally did just that! I had an appointment for 12:45pm and I came on time. The barber was available but said she is not taking me because she was "waiting" for her next customer. I thought that "First Available" means that the next barber will cut my hair. Putting that aside, the barber who did cut my hair was great. Very nice lady and did a fantastic job. I went in to get my bangs cut. I was shocked at the way she cut them. She twisted my bangs and cut, she didn't even check to make sure they were even. She argued with me as to how much I should cut. It's my hair and I think I should know how much to cut. I told her I wanted them tapered down and she didn't get it at all. She kept telling me that they were fine the way she did them. I continued to insist and she finally said that it was called framing not tapering. Does it really matter what the correct term is ? I got home and the bangs were all lopsided. Worst haircut experience of my life! I don't remember her name but the blonde Russian lady was unprofessional and basically did not finish my hair cut. I've gone to Supercuts for years and never had a bad experience before today. Unfortunately we started talking about the war in Ukraine and this pro Putin wacko started talking a bunch of nutty Russian state propaganda about Ukrainian nazis and blaming Biden and other nonsense. OMG, seriously the worst haircut I've ever had in my life. Where was this woman trained. I get better haircuts at the Paul Mitchel School in Sherman Oaks from STUDENTS. At least they're careful. This woman took the scissor and chopped away like she was in a Buggs Bunny cartoon. My hair looks awful. Just awful. What makes it worse is that I have very thin, fine hair that doesn't grow quickly at all. So I'm stuck with this mess for who knows how long. Corporate needs to buy me some wigs. read more

For my son's haircuts, I much prefer the location on Canoga avenue. Felt rushed at this location. I know supercuts is a factory but felt very snippy and they don't listen to the type of cut you want. I've been going to Supercuts at this location for a couple of years now and absolutely LOVE the service I get here. My favorite hair stylist, Shabnam, always greets me- and everyone - with such positive energy, does my hair superbly and beautifully, and is very time efficient (I'm always in a rush to school pick up etc.) My teen daughter is now hooked on Shabnam as well- she just got a fun new cut by Shabnam and absolutely loves it! Shabnam is not only exceptionally and creatively talented at her craft but also truly listens to her clients and has a great understanding for the results they are looking for. I would not recommend this establishment to my friends or others. I am basing my review off my experience with one "stylist"- a very generous term for her skill level- so maybe it is not fair toward the others there, but what else can I base it off? I was waiting a while and overheard a whole debacle with the front desk lady struggling, and I mean struggling, to input a very standard name into the system- Kevin. The whole thing was kind of comical at how inept she was while multiple other employees had to come help her do the simplest task. It stayed comical until she went over to a work station and called me up- she was going to be my stylist. I was nervous at first, but things only went downhill from there. When I told her what I wanted done (mens haircut with high buzz up the sides and scissor cut on top), she continuously told me that it would look bad and I can't do it. I have had the same hair my whole life and know what works, but she insisted that it would be bad... multiple times. She kept doing things her way, which idk where the F*** she learned how to cut hair but she was basically hunting out individual little hairs and snipping them with the scissors. It took 45 minutes to get a haircut that I did not even want, and when I got home and showered I saw that she had missed MANY spots including the entire area behind both ears etc... The worst part was that, even though she was speaking in broken english the whole time, her english "got worse" throughout the haircut the more I insisted on having it cut a certain way. I will never go back here and it made me skeptical of Supercuts in general, even though I have always frequented budget type hair cut places like this for many years. The reason I am giving one star is because 0 or No Stars is not an option. I had an event planned for 2/27/2015 - an evening that I had been anticipating for months. In advance, I had my hair cut and styled by Courtney who was very pleasant and who did a good job on my hair. I told Courtney about my upcoming evening and she said that she would certainly do my hair - and suggested that i come in early in the day to leave time for a discussion about styles. Several times before the event, I stopped in and checked with Courtney while having my hair trimmed. The morning of my Big Evening, I went over to the salon and was stopped at the door by a very aggressive woman who did not greet me , just asked "What is it that you want"? I asked for Courtney and was told she was not there. I asked whether she had just stepped out or on a break and the woman said "I am the manager and Courtney is not here". I am left wondering, did she quit since I had checked in with her earlier in the week, was she called away on an emergency, did she rearrange her schedule? I asked if I could contact her as we had made plans for me to have my hair done for this very special occasion. She told me that even if Courtney walked in the door at that moment, she could not do my hair for a special occasion as the shop does not stock bobby pins. She repeated it " We have no bobby pins here" I had never seen this woman on the previous occasions I was in this salon; if she truly was a manager, she certainly needs a course in customer service.to say the least.
